A friend took me to the Casa Batlló it was late October. We went late afternoon during daylight and while we were on the roof the sun began to set. After watching this we descended back down the building and now it took on a different look. Then exiting the building it was all lit up and looked fantastic. Love these ‘in a day’ videos!! The maps showing the different locations are super helpful & appreciate the tips. This addition would be SUPER helpful for those of us watching your vids for help w/ our future cruise stops. Thanks & keep up the great work! ❤🎉😊
Awesome! Thank you! I choose to leave that out to allow people to go at their own pace. @@TheTourGuyVidsthat doesn't make sense, as if someone has access needs this may not be possible in a day for them. You were more accurate when you said this was your perfect day. @@TheTourGuyVids It has all to do with France because France and Andorra are the only other countries besides Spain where Catalonian is spoken, and in France it was not even recognized as a regional language until 1951. Other regional languages in France were not recognized as such until the early 2000s. The 1958 French constitution recognized the regional languages as part of the French cultural heritage, but till this day the French language is the ONLY official language, unlike Spain where the regional languages are co-official. In fact, a few months ago a court in Montpellier outlawed Catalonian from being used in the French town halls of Elne, Els Banys, Port-Vendres and Tarrerac unless French is used and always as a translation from French. The novel La plaça del Diamant, by Mercè Rodoreda, was published in Spain in Catalonian language in 1962. That same year the Editorial Moll published the Catalonian-Balearic-Valencian dictionary. In 1964 the Spanish state TV (RTVE) started broadcasting the show Teatre en català in Catalonian language. How could they do that if it was outlawed? Because it wasn't. The laws you mentioned are similar to the present laws in the French Republic, but in Spain the 1970 General Education Law allowed regional languages to be taught at schools. You are peddling the narrative of secessionist factions with racists and xenophobic characteristics, which have indeed managed to outlaw the Spanish language in Catalonian schools, in which by law a minimum of 25% of the classes should be in Spanish, but it is not currently being respected because of this false narrative about the "prosecution of Catalonian". The oppression of the Spanish language in Catalonian schools uses this made-up victimization as an excuse for stamping on other people's freedom, same as the Nazis did. In fact, if you search for pictures of brown shirts in Barcelona you will find the paramilitary youths of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC), a secessionist political party that still exists today, marching down the Avenida María Cristina de Montjuic in 1933. You are siding the wrong people when you spread their lies.
