- Christopher Blair, "Heart of the Tiger" had retired to a farming planet after the war, content with retirement, so he says... In the depths of space, a new menace has surfaced. Some unknown attackers are killing civilian ships. The tension between the Confederation and the Border Worlds is at an all time high, as both sides accuse the other of staging the attacks. Admiral Tolwyn has recalled Blair back to service, where he will make the most difficult choice of all... And contemplate action he had never dared before, in the name of justice...
Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom is a mix of interactive movie and space sim. The game has a dynamic mission tree, which means the player's behaviour will determine the next mission. The videos feature real actors, like Mark Hamill, Tom Wilson, John Rhys-Davies and Malcolm McDowell. Before the start of each mission, the space craft can be equipped with different weapons. Sometimes the mission objectives change during flight, and the player has to make decisions what he wants to do next, e.g. help out his friend or destroy an enemy fighter.

Man, when I was young my mouth dropped to the floor when it was revealed Tolwyn was behind it all. I mean yeah as an adult it's not THAT surprising but as a kid, that shit blew my mind.
It would have been something else if a Kilrathi walked out.
Buccura Same here.
Absolutely same happened here. I think two of the biggest WOW moments in my gaming life, was Tolwyn being the traitor, and when it was revealed that the Reapers in Mass Effect cleansed life in the entire galaxy every few hundred thousand years, in Mass Effect 1, when all this time you thought Saren was the bad guy boss.
Tolwyn’s speech and plans basically parallel what TPTB are out to do today along with the elimination of about 90% of humanity today.
I only played the first 2 Wing Commander games and although we did not see all the action on the missions, thanks for putting this almost 3 hour movie on RUclips!!
i still love it and it's still the one the best movies out there and fun as well.
Dragon, my favourite Wing Commander fighter
Subtle smile from Sosa at Catscratch at 22:55, nice hint at their romance plot. I wonder if that was scripted or if the actress just added it in, either way it's a great little character touch for those paying attention.
Great period of time for space sims, thanks for downloading...In my fisrt playthrough, i was surprised by the appearance of Chris Roberts in the flashback endind...a brilliant video game director.
I love the scene at 1:00. When you have a junkyard dog snapping at your heels you have to kick it in its chops....
Amazing game.. Tolwyn really turned to the dark side after the Kilrathi war..
1:17:55 - Tolwyn's crazy speech would make a lot of sense if he had learned of the Steltek from the Kilrathi. Funny, ain't it?
1:33:40 - Mark Hamill looks so much younger and healthier back then and in some sense I'd have loved if a Star Wars sequel had been made that involved him back then rather than waiting so many years and then trashing Luke's character. (From my perspective)
2015 rang, they want their "bitching about Disney is cool" period back.
@@richallenxbox1976 Disney is trash.
yeah Imagine a luke Skywalker with the age of Christopher Blair. I felt that way about 30 years ago man.
Amazing, thanks so much for this. So much better than the actual WC movie that came out a few years later...
Thank you :)
I don't know if the novel of Towlyn's younger career was more of an apologist method to explain, rationalize, or justify his actions. Humanity was painfully naive when dealing with the Kilrathi. With all the "interactions" the Kilrathi had with any other race, only a few in Confed knew they would do the same to humanity. The Kilrathi had no intention to live peacefully with humans, but those in governmental power thought that diplomacy and peace would win the day. Humanity paid dearly for it and honestly, only won the war because of one those "flukes." of war that turned the tide in an instant. Towlyn was consumed by this. He did the right thing, but did it in the worst way possible, becoming the enemy he fought so long against.
Glorious, thank you!
And these are well known actors, wow. The only goofy thing is the woman with the huge plastic joystick :P
+Uncle Timo Haha. I can't disagree on that. :)
Kinda reminds me of Lt. Uhura ... "hailing frequencies open captain". Whoever designed that joystick was an idiot ... oh and not giving her a seat?
45:15 Blair went all Hitman on that notebook jockey
In the end, Towlyn was right, someone worse then the Kilrathi came along.
Yeah but they numbered in the billions. Taking out 90 percent of your manpower is not a smart idea.
This game totally needs a remake.
Keep all the FMV footage but redo all the gameplay segments.
Could be a classic renewed.
Xbox One and PC exclusive, fuck Sony.
You beat me to this, imagine this on the next gen
Your upload looks SO MUCH BETTER than BCS Buster or DaveCaspermeyer.
How did you do that???
Is it just me or does that Engineer guy look like a younger version of Scotty from the original Star Trek?
Tease off,dude!
HELL YEAH,FUCKIN GOOD!
Nice job....
"knock, knock" :D
Holly shed!
There are far too many Tolwyns in the US establishment.

Have you seen the "Bad" ending to this where Blair's the one that gets executed?
"Blindfold?"
"No."
*ZAP*
*Body thuds*
What about the other ending, where Blair had command of the black lance
1:22:14
Damn noobs.
I really like that the female characteres are not sexed up, but could be taken right out of present day USAF.
