    Thank you for this clear and concise explanation video. I had my phone playing it right next to my car as I did the discs and pads, front and back today. £300 is a bargain compared to dealer prices 🙂

    Just a side note, electronic hand brake version you can just push the piston back in. MANUAL handbrake you have to wind them back👌

    Excellent video for doing this job. Thanks for showing me how!
    Years ago I used to do all my own maintenance but I was lucky to have company vehicles so I got out of the habit. Saved a small fortune after Ford replaced the offside rear disc due to uneven wear under warranty but the fault returned.
    Just worked out fine on my '20 mk 3 Kuga. For others with the same model the parking brake release is slightly different in that you turn on the ignition, press the accelerator, press down on the park brake switch - this gives a message 'press brake pedal to release brakes' and all done! Once done, just turn on ignition and pull up park brake switch and it resets.

    For anyone watching Parking Brake needs to be in the Off Position before starting the Service Positions Process and you don't need a wind back tool as the Piston is a Push Conventional Job whilst in Service Mode 👊

    Very useful video changed my back brakes yesterday, if anyone is interested the maintenance mode procedure works on 2018 car with auto gearbox , the 316mm dia discs are available from Euro spares most online sites will try to sell you 280mm dia. I tried to push the pistons back but no luck needed a wind back tool, only £10 but being cheap you could do with 3 hands.

After 15k miles 🤔 what a rip off!!!!!!

    • @WilliamMurfitt
      @WilliamMurfitt  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you very much, you can tell from the piston face, if flat it’s typically a pushback, if notches visible this is for a tool to wind back by careful as there is both left and right hand threads be sure you use the right tool

    Are these definitely an Allen key? A few places state they're torx. The Allen key obviously fits but you're in danger of rounding them and that's a world of pain
