Just changed the pads on mine today but the mounting spring clips were seized into the caliper and sheered off. So i now have a caliper with 2 wires sticking out ? Looks like i will need to drill out the remains before installing new clips !
That’s a bummer, I know sometimes they can be difficult to remove but never had them seized onto the calliper 🥹 I have a drimmel style tool that cuts and grinds now and was under £25 just in case in the future 🤛
This one just over £16 and I’ve done my ford a bmw and seat with it www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264425475409?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vP8vgJ9CRcS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Y4jEEfi_R5m&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I’m not too sure as that’s a mk 2.5 but I know you would have to put your car in service/maintenance mode first. I’ve checked and it looks like they compress back in without having to be wound back!
To be fair I used a tiny bit on the edges of the pads and both front and rear there’s no noises at all! Nearly two years and about 30k no issues! If you’ve just got your kuga and not a member already join ford kuga owners club uk. Lots of information there, I’m admin also 👍
@garywilkostube3435 I was a part of two kiga owners clubs on Facebook but now only 1, I found it was more for people showing off their new 10 to 18k debt they just got themselves in on finance showing off 😂 I have a 2011 with only 75k on clock so I'm happy, just felt like most up their own arses
I now have a kuga and front discs are definitely on the agenda for next week
Does disc's come off after caliper bolts taken out? Or disc bolts? Ive done motorbike before but not my car, my 2012 kuga
Thanks for this👍
My pleasure 😊

Job well done! Thanks for good, how to do it video!
Is this electric handbrake kuga ?
No manual mate
so you dont have to take the hand break off
Mines a manual hand break and it was released but no there’s no need to remove
Does the manual handbrake need adjustment?
@michaelrobinson9111 never needed to adjust mine! Just press the brake pedal before you use the handbrake!
All 4 of my mondeos i nerdee copper grease or they wpuld squeek lol
