  • Designed in increase production rates, the "second generation" CZ 75 introduced longer frame and slide rails in addition to the frame being cast versus forged as seen on Model 75s produced from 1975 until 1980.
This featured pistol was manufactured in 1982 and is in immaculate shape, considering it's over forty years old.

Nice! I have a 1990 pre B. It also has no import marks. The story that I was told was that it was brought back by a guy who bought it in Europe while he was stationed there in the military. Mine takes modern made magazines which I am happy about.

Upon speaking with some other professionals, I was told this Model 75 more than likely made it to the U.S. the same way. Previous owner probably was a member of a Rod and Gun Club in Europe and went through the steps to import it.
My 1984 Model 75 is picky on new magazines, but the 1991 and 1995 variant will use either. 😎

Never did I imagine finding a Pre B in this condition. 😎

It looks pristine. I am betting the bluing marks on the barrel is from someone racking the slide a couple of dozen times, if those are bluing marks. Anyway, congrats on a great find, I hope you never fire it for posterity's sake.

CZ Custom noted the marks on the barrel may have been from when it was forged. Or as you said, whenever the slide was racked from 1982 until now. It is intriguing this Pre B went over 40 years without even one magazine run through it. And yes, much as I would prefer to send at the most a hundred rounds downrange, I will be preserving this Earlier Second Model CZ 75.
