- Remember when you were excited when Discord announced that they were giving away 3 months of Discord Nitro in partnership with Epic Games? Well I was pretty excited to finally have a sweet taste of free Nitro (and so did everyone else). As time went on, these promotions got shorter and more restrictive and just generally sucked.
Let's figure out why they suck more than ever before.

Two things
1) The first nitro promotion was through gamespass apparently.
2) The grey market sellers will usually just sell server boosts instead of the free nitro accounts themselves. Sorry for not clarifying!

Exactly, it’s even more stupid when servers advertise themselves with free nitro even though it’s some giveaway you mostly won’t win
and its typically impossible to win when the chances lower down with more people in, like 1 in 3000, it only gets more fair when its less people, but people are easy bait for nitro giveaway anyway

Similar to real life, just visit a place, chat for a bit then repeat this everyday, people will treat you as if you are friend. It's normal to feel like no one gives a fuck about you. I don't care if this is your first or last message. When you don't attempt to leave an impact, online or real life, no one fucking knows you exist and we just carry on as if nothing would happen. It's nothing weird when no one notices you. It's only weird when everyone treat you as if you are Mary Sue out of sudden for no reason
I've won a nitro giveaway before on a server last year, with I believe a 10 in 50 something chance. I don't think I ever won another one after that.

@@scott420 I got 3 months of free nitro with game pass and after the 3 months was over I didn't want to use discord without nitro so I just continued paying for it, thats how they make their money as well by getting people hooked to the features it gives

Hey, NTTS! People do NOT use the tokens with the redeemer to get Nitro Tokens to get "nitro forever" or what not, they use Boost Tools or Boost Bots and they load the Nitro Tokens into the bot and use them to boost servers. Just wanted to clarify that small misunderstanding up! ❤
I remember the Xmas free nitro promotion in 2017 or 2018 that discord made and on the 25th of December everyone who was in one of the 3 Hypesquad houses receives a gift for 1-month free nitro that you can NOT claim by yourself (that's the catch), instead, you need to give to a friend and of course, he will give you back his discord nitro gift. What a nice idea... This was the best promotion ever because it was turned almost immediately into an unlimited discord nitro farming process. I used to go and DM users telling them to give me their discord nitro gift. If they ask why can't claim it for myself instead, I would say "You can't, this is made to be gifted to someone else and you will receive discord nitro after that too" and because you can't redeem the gift link by yourself a lot of users trusted me and they used to give me the links while nothing happens for them unless I give a link back and was able to stack 2 years of nitro this way :D

i can agree as this is beginning to get a bit frustrating with the amount of young people being asking for credit cards and stuff, after all it's just a subscription why would someone try to trick discord with non-existent thing just in order to get nitro? i could just live without it and i'm good but not going too far with this

I had 3 month one from Steelseries since I use their stuff mouse,mousepad etc so that's why I already have it downloaded. And now I can't even activate it since I had it before

i remember an epic games promotion in like 2020 or 2021, i didn't have a card or paypal (still don't at 15), so i had to use my parent's info, and my parents made me pay the normal nitro price for it, so i can't even use the promos lol

Also I don't necessarily think people who exploit free nitro are lost sale, some, or even most, of them wouldn't buy it in the first place anyway.
Amazon does the same for the credit card pulling a dollar. I watched them charge a random dollar from me on cashapp.

What's really annoying, is that a friend gave me Nitro. But then Discord has to go out and shake us up, and now the promos are actually useless. Screw you Discord!
I use to pay for my nitro one or another way and do not waste time with these promotions but one time in the past also abused the free promotion for a reason. When Epic X Discord promotion was active I used to create 15 discord accounts and claim nitro on them then boost my discord server for free during these 3 months. It was of course the best thing ever happened because boost cost a ridiculous price and it's overkill to pay for them. They were 30 required for level 3, lucky discord changed them to 15 in the last updates but still useless to pay for separate boosts apart form the 2 that come with your nitro.

@@strykors maybe not good idea so be careful. Still I did this only 1 time when the first nitro x epic happened and not banned... during the promotion discord added credit card 1$ fee confirmation when found this exploiting but luckily already made the 15 alts. Still do not recommend to do this. Nowadays you can find cheap boosts for sale. If the guy doing the service is legit still might be not ok if discord finds out.

@@playtimeplay4518 Boosting your server comes with a few bonuses though that makes it worth it.
So id say its worth more to boost your own server compared to liking your own comment. If you boost your server, then everyone on your server like your friends can use more custom emotes. And emotes are fun. Liking your own comment is much more of a "hehe. Look I win the argument :P" type of thing. At least to me.

i just dont bother with the free promotions anymore. any time they come around, they always say im not qualified for the free month due to me being subscribed when im not. i only go for the bogo sales now since thats actually what the price should be
The problem woth nitro trials is that it requires certain cards. Im 13 (almost 14) and for some reason maestro doesnt work but mastercard which is basically the same thing works.
I actually hate that these promotions are always "For first-time subscribers only" like "yeah let's give free shit to the people who haven't done anything but leave out the people who actually buy Nitro and pay our bills"
Never use fake credit cards unless it's a masking credit card thing for privacy. It's just going to bounce and cause trouble kids

One simple answer. It requires a payment method and most people (like me) don't.
what you can do is get free nitro using one of these things on an alt then and with that nitro that you just redeemed you can get xbox gamepass ultimate then redeem 3 months of nitro on your main acc
just a quick question i have xbox game pass and it says i can still redeem it until 2023 05 29 even though it ended last year so do they still work?
the picsart one was so bad, i had picsart gold free and then i claimed the nitro however picsart took out 45£, i got it back anyway.

discord just outbrained us, they sold us links for 10$ they are genius.
I met lots of hacking groups on discord, most of them black hat (aka squads), so I saw their discord once and they had like 120-240 boosts all from automated software they made to get boosts from the epic games promotion, the epic games one was a literal chaos cuz lots of spanish people got like a fake credit card spread in the community and they all used the same card, kinda funny but discord lost a lot of money, thats why they implemented the 1$ charge thing

Why would they give you 3 free months for you to download some random apps? It's likely just no one wanting to pay up for a large deal and it makes no sense for Discord to keep doing 3 months on their own dime when it's only for new users and the majority of actual users already have Discord and have tried Nitro, it's to entice the remaining people who just haven't tried it yet. They don't need "New" users, they need "New Existing" users.

This happened to me as well, but I force refunded my money because they wouldn't give it back after I tried asking for it back once the trial ran out. Then eventually lifted the ban and allowed me back, but only barely lol I'd advise against forgetting your card on the account.
And if you actually want a tip, set up your card, do the nitro trial, and IMMEDIATELY remove the card from the list of cards it has and then you won't have an issue. (Pretty sure you can remove it right away)
