    Hi Scott!
I’m trying to build my own tiki room in my home for a lounge area for guests, and thought it would be a neat idea to make my own talking head. Where did you learn how to make one of your own? What programming skills are needed if necessary?

Thanks for the interest in my work. This is a mix of mechanical engineering, 3d printing, CNC fabrication, code writing, audio editing, sculpting, mold making and casting, faux painting and character programming. It is run from an Arduino pro-mini and uses standard hobby servos. Best of fun on your project.

Hi Scott this is killer. Nicely done. Are you able to move the mouth to any spoken word? If I recorded a VO, would the tiki mouth the words?

Hi Steve. Thanks for the interest in my work. unfortunately, the mouth does not work like that. It's more of a syllable at a time, tedious programming task. Very enjoyable, but not quick. I definitely do custom programming to customer supplied audio though. please feel free to reach out for more info.
