Just by chance, a customer ordered that song for one of our singing tikis. I liked it so much that I used it for skullman.
That is so wonderful! They were a Portland, OR. band while I was growing up and they're excellent. I miss them to this day hahaha

Hello. If you look at it, it makes a good sound when you click snare rim, but the Alessis Strike Prose I have is so frustrating because it only happens once in a certain place when I stroke it in a snare rim click position. I put a click sound in the snare rim, so if I just hit the rim, it makes a good click sound. What's the problem.. 0:55~

Hi Scott! I’m trying to build my own tiki room in my home for a lounge area for guests, and thought it would be a neat idea to make my own talking head. Where did you learn how to make one of your own? What programming skills are needed if necessary?
Thanks for the interest in my work. This is a mix of mechanical engineering, 3d printing, CNC fabrication, code writing, audio editing, sculpting, mold making and casting, faux painting and character programming. It is run from an Arduino pro-mini and uses standard hobby servos. Best of fun on your project.

Hi Deloris! I use a few different shades of an aqua color and a brown. I stipple them on sparingly and then spray everything with water to get the colors to separate randomly. that seems to give good results for me. Best of luck on your project!
Nice grooves, bub! My Crimson II set sounded good; but it sounds like Alesis has really dialed in the sounds for each of these kits. I've got this in the cart just waiting for my bonus check from work to pull the trigger!

Really awesome demo Scott. While I'm new to your channel, I found it by searching for a demo for this particular drum set as I'm looking to see if its a viable option for a studio workhorse (my wife is insistent that I not have an acoustic set around so she doesn't have to hear it). As a non-drummer, I was totally unaware that electronic drum kits were this good now or that they could do any of these wild effects. This made my mind up. I'm having my local music store order me one of these.

Hi Scott this is killer. Nicely done. Are you able to move the mouth to any spoken word? If I recorded a VO, would the tiki mouth the words?
Hi Steve. Thanks for the interest in my work. unfortunately, the mouth does not work like that. It's more of a syllable at a time, tedious programming task. Very enjoyable, but not quick. I definitely do custom programming to customer supplied audio though. please feel free to reach out for more info.
What amp do you use with this kit?
Mostly headphones and some Bose shelf speakers when others are involved.
