Wow, thank you very much for your kind words! I don’t think I’m that good, there are lots of greatest musicians out there. I started writing music after my mother died, and breathe is about moving on. I only used Soundcloud back then and I don’t want to upload old songs now.

Subscribed! Sounds awesome. But I have a question. I have the same interface, but can't seem to get a decent tone with it. I noticed you're using a di box in your chain, but I've heard that you don't actually need one with the 2i2 2nd gen. How big is the difference with a di box? My tones sound noisy and far from clear, it's driving me nuts. So what's your secret? Lol Thanks
Thank you! I use a noise gate pedal. I have the di box because the barenuckle in my 7 string is really high gain. If your 2i2 doesn’t clip, you don’t need one. If you could show me a sample maybe I could help, but I think your di signal is too high or you use too much overdrive / distortion.
My chain is: guitar>zoom fx pedal in bypass mode (for a better signal)>interface. Some noise reduction (guitar rig and reafir but if I'd eliminate all noise I'd lose my tone) Tse 808 and bias and some eq (reaeq) and compression (ezmix). I just want to know if a di box would help.

You don’t need that zoom pedal. Also you need a decent guitar and pickups, good cables (!!) and put your phone away from the interface or cables. A di box won’t help you with noise I think, but as I said if I could listen to a sample I could give you better advice.
@ yeah that's what I was afraid of. I bought my guitar like 10 years ago from a friend. I just don't have the money for a new one. I'm just a self taught (home recording) player so it'd be quite a big investment. You sure I don't need the pedal? Imo it sounds better compared to connecting it to my interface directly, but I could be wrong. I'll upload some dry signals tomorrow (with and without the pedal). The song I sent is a pretty old recording though, my tone sounds a bit better now. Thanks for the help man, much appreciated!
