  • Khalsa Fort Tanda Burj Kotia Pinjor holds significant cultural and historical importance in the Indian subcontinent. It is located on a hill lock on the entrance to the Pinjor valley. Adjacent to this fort, in the same hilly region, lies another Khalsa fort.
Guru Nanak Sahib, the founder of Sikhism, visited this area and established a Manji at Pinjor. The fort was also used by General Banda Singh Bahadur in the 18th century against the Mughal forces. The Akbarat-i-Darbara-Mulla, a Persian historical document, also makes reference to General Banda Singh Bahadur in this region.Sadly, most of the fort has been demolished by the British, except for one Burj that still stands. Despite the destruction, Khalsa fort Tanda Burj Kotia continues to be a landmark that testifies to the rich history and heritage of Sikhsim . Its strategic location and association with Sikh history make it a symbol of strength, resistance, and determination for millions.
