  • The Queen has knighted Captain Sir Tom Moore in her first official engagement in person since lockdown.
The 100-year-old, who raised more than £32m for NHS charities, was knighted in a unique outdoor ceremony at Windsor Castle.
The fundraising hero walked 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday, he originally wanted to raise just £1000 for charity.
