- The first snow has fallen here on Svalbard which means that winter is just around the corner! I head into Longyearbyen to show you guys a bit more of the village, and also sort out and speed clean the entire cabin. VERY satisfying!

Grim is such a little character. He never fails to make me smile. Your cabin looks very cozy and ready for the winter.
Im a new subscriber love your content and one thing I really appreciate is that you credit the creators of your audio content. So often youtubers dont do this and I really feel that it is an oversight because the audio adds so much to the viewers experience of the videos and not to credit the incredible talent of these creators is terrible so thankyou for that. :)
I love how you described the galaxy, most of my friends just don’t understand how close and clear the sky gets far away from the cities. It’s like you can jump in ❤️
It really is! It feels like the stars are SO close and they are everywhere, all the way down to the horizon! 🧡⭐️
Ah one thing I would point out is winter is the worst time in the Northern Hemisphere for viewing the Milky Way. During winter the earth's nighttime skies are oriented in opposition to the galactic center. In any case, the Arctic is one of the worst places to view the Milky Way even in summer, both because of round the clock daylight and the fact that the core in Sagittarius is either at or beneath the southern horizon. If spectacular views of the galaxy is what you seek, winter in the Southern Hemisphere is by far the best. Still there is lot's to see in northern fall/winter skies like the Andromeda and Triangulum galaxies.
I’m always amazed when you mention the first sunset or the last sunrise, it just shows that with all the climate changes on the planet we still have the steadiness of the universe around us.

Sunsets are a glimpse of heaven....Cleaning is a passion of mine..I even went onboard with Merry Maids in Maryland years ago which I loved. Started being a Mom and housewife in 1975 so cleaning is perfected after 46 years. Instant gratification. I had the Royal push vacuum and hung out all our clothing. Planning weekly meals and purchasing all the food. I had one full day for all the families ironing. Kept a tight ship with love for all 24/7. Nothing like being a home decorator also to make it all cozy. There's no place like home...no matter where you live.....and always enjoy the scenery out one's windows..;)

Cecilia, I am watching this episode for the first time, about a year after you filmed it! And I loved it! I love how you and Grim enjoy thd change of seasons! Although you are quite obviously very different from where I live in The Mid-Atlantic Region of The United States, like us, you too enjoy the change of seasons! I am very much in love with our change of seasons as well!
And yes, there is always housework to do! I enjoy doing it as well!

The scenic photos are so magical and poetic! The snow-dusted mountain view from your office desk (16:18)... I was in awe of them. I see them all the time in the background of your videos, but not at that angle; it really portrayed the hugeness of them. I mean, I understand that all the mountains in Svalbard are monumental but I can't really comprehend/grasp the true scale. I really hope to visit someday and then I will be able to fully appreciate their beauty. Thank you for sharing your part of the world!

I just took family to an airport to send off to their next destination. Before her I had a couple with me. All in total I had people visit me for the pay 7 weeks. I could hardly wait to degerm, wash bedding and clean clean clean….while I carried my phone around and watched you clean😅

I just love sweet cuddly Grimm. I think it is so amazing that you and Christopher get to enjoy the beauty that some will never know. I'd give anything to be able to see the night skies with billions of stars. Don't get that where I live (suburbs of San Francisco in Walnut Creek). Most night we can see Orion and couple other bright stars.

Great timing. Am staying at a vacation place near lake Tahoe on a mountain top 2300 meters elevation and the clouds are rolling in for what may be the first dusting of snow Thursday night. Love your videos.

That little snowfall reminds me of my first in Canada a few years ago - half the sky was clear blue but it was lightly drifting down, I was in a Walmart carpark, and I absolutely lost my mind. I love love love snow 💗
