I found your channel not to long ago. I'm amazed by your Talent. I enjoy watching you create something out of just cereall boxes. I haven't watched all of your videos but I intend to. Please keep up the great work. I'm looking forward to your pub that you keep talking about.
Welcome! I'm glad you have so many videos to catch up on. I've probably watched every miniature tutorials on RUclips by now (😆), but I was always excited when I found a new channel to binge.
I can't wait to start the pub. I have been so busy working, I haven't had time. It's driving me nuts. Things are winding down now. I'll be back in high gear for my channel within a couple weeks.
A few years ago when I became interested in minis, I watched a channel where the girl put together fairly complicated kits of 2 and 3 story houses. Some with pools and/or landscaping. Of course, all of the interior furniture and accessories. I like the additions you made to the kit. Big improvements.❤
I bought a kit like that. Now that I've assembled this little guy, I'm extra impressed by those videos. The amount of time and work editing must be enormous. For this small project, I had 3.5 hours of footage and 382 clips to edit down.
Wow, thank you! I've been so busy with work for the last couple months. I can't wait to get back into making videos in a couple weeks. I worked on this video when I really was too busy to be doing this but I just had to make something.
@@queencityminis these easy creative solutions you give are priceless, I’m always surprised and learn something new. Thank you! Hey, didn’t you adopt a dollhouse a little while back? Any updates there?
Very cute. I thought about getting one of those mini kits but I lose pieces of my regular size projects quite often. I would end up losing my mind trying to keep all the parts together. Then there's always the chance one of the cats would try to help... I love the look that you gave it with all the greenery.
I hear that. I lean back in my chair when I'm working on small things up close. Then I drop things and have to crawl around looking for them. I also kept losing things I was holding in my tweezers. That's even worse bc they fly across the room. There would be a "ping" and the item is gone.
Thank you! 😊 Adding custom touches is my favorite part! I knew I couldn't use that red plaid fabric provided. I'm not sure why that's the vibe the kit was going for.
WOW did this turn out SO WELL!! I love all the changes you made ~ they really enhanced the project. I particularly loved adding glue to the bed for detail. Was that wood glue?? I also absolutely love the enhancement to the kittens. :)
Thank you! The glue is actually Formula 560 Canopy glue. I got it on Amazon. Model makers use it to attach sails to tiny ships. It's like thin tacky glue to me. It really holds it's dimension when it dries. Wood glue also works well for adding dimension, but it takes longer to dry. The Canopy glue only took 5 mins or so. Elmer's glue doesn't work well for that trick. I kept calling the kittens bunnies and in my mind, they were bunnies. Now I can clearly see they're kittens, even though one has a bunny tail 🐇 The story is about two kittens in Paris. It's all a puzzle lol
I love all the personalised touches you added, it really just made the whole scene so much more detailed. And we know you are the Queen of amazing detail! I am both quite envious, and inspired by your talent Shyra
Thank you so much!! I thought this would be a quick and easy project to film and edit. Then I ended up with 3.5 hours of footage and 382 clips! I'm glad all the time and effort were worth it.
Aw, so stinkin' cute!! Of course, your customizations are perfect! The little side table, the flocking and florals, all the things! I have to say, though, the teeny little gingerbread house got me!! Thanks for this!!
I really love the flocking. I'm so glad I got all that colorful flocking. I'll be adding flowers to projects for years to come. The gingerbread house is so cute! The little container of pink stuff (cotton candy?) sitting on the counter is so cute too.
This turned out really great. A dollhouse for the dollhouse being that tiny. I know a lady that created a woodland scene inside of a pocket watch case. Needed a magnifying glass to see the details but was great as well. Have a great day and thank you for sharing
I can't believe all the details in this tiny tin. The details just kept coming, I'm thinking how much more can fit in this space...lol Omgosh, so adorable! And it was great to see what I can do with the fuzzy flocking. I wonder if I can dye it and add it to church to make his fur look more realistic. Thank you for sharing!❤️🥰
Have you ever done a video on how you got started in miniatures? What sparked your interest? I think they are simply amazing and your tutorials are over the top. I appreciate that you do not print your minis on a 3D printer. I can do that! You have an eye for trash to treasure but itty bitty size. 💓
Not yet! I should do that at some point. I'll be setting up a new studio within the next few months. Maybe I'll explain how I got started and do a studio tour.
I love all your changes and details- so satisfying to watch. Also I’ve seen videos of people putting these together but having some narration describing what you’re doing and why makes AAAALLLL the difference. It doesn’t even compare.
Thank you so much! I added voiceover any time I deviated from the instructions and/or materials provided in the kit. I didn't want someone buying the kit and thinking, "I'm missing that item from my kit" 😆
@@queencityminis I’d even like if you say like, this part is really hard, or this part I had to be careful about X. Like, videos for those kits make them look easy but they’re NOT.

I love these little tin kits. I’ve done a couple of them, not this one though.
Going to remember the glue to give the wood dimension trick.
It doesn't work well with white glue (like Elmer's). Wood glue works great for that. I used Formula 560 Canopy glue in the video.
I love all the details you added and changed to really lift it up a notch, you really added your own style to the kit, and I watched to the end 😉

Can you possibly describe in detail the wiring process?
I twisted the wires together and secured the ends with tape. I checked that they still worked throughout the process.
It says two kittens, did you change it to bunnies or was that an error?
