My mom was buying a certain type of soda bottle that had silicone seals in it and she was peeling them out for my daughter to use on her dollhouse and I made dollhouse miniatures all the time so I made some of the paper plates like you’re doing of course those days we didn’t have 3-D printers.

    • @debbiewaksmonski4100
      @debbiewaksmonski4100 8 месяцев назад

      @@cocoscrafts6410 very, very good question. Being as I have not the faintest idea of how to make something SO SMALL. If the 3d printer would make a silverware set, I think a good model metallic paint would cover it. You could even make them 2 tone. Metal utensil part, colored plastic/wood handle

    • @cocoscrafts6410
      @cocoscrafts6410  8 месяцев назад

      @@debbiewaksmonski4100 Yes, I think the 3D printer can make the silver plates with a primary coat then the metallic silver coat. I just tried to just use three layers of foil and push into the mold, it can be used for a baking tray. Just want to let you know.

    Beautiful. Thank you so much for showing this.
    I think for the step of putting together the three layers of printed plates, tinfoil, and backing paper, I would do them all together at once. THEN cut the plates out in strips, and then into squares, and then the careful detail of cutting around the edges of each plate. It seems to me that this would be easier than fiddling with making three layers for each tiny plate individually.

    • @cocoscrafts6410
      @cocoscrafts6410  8 месяцев назад +2

      Thank u. The only problem with glue the whole printed pattern onto the foil is : make sure the pattern layer goes really flat onto the foil. I tried this way, just to put the tacky glue onto the whole page can be a problem, because it dries really fast with a thin layer of glue. But if u put too much glue, you will see bumps show up later on the plate surfaces. Let me know how it works for you.

    • @cocoscrafts6410
      @cocoscrafts6410  8 месяцев назад

      @@sleepycalico I just tried to make three at the time. I think that's the most I can do at once without getting the pattern' s surface with air pockets or wrinkles. I use a piece of cardboard gently scraping through the foil once it is glued on , same as the last layer of the paper.

    This is fantastic! I don’t make miniature things (rarely I do) but watching this was so neat and interesting. At first I didn’t understand why you needed to use the aluminum foil. Then I realized you need it to form and hold the shape from your mold. Clever! I enjoyed the video! I’m gonna check out some other videos by you! Thanks!
