I especially like that everything is made from such simple materials. Very creative, you don't always need super expensive materials to make beautiful things.
Fantastic. I love ❤ tutorials that don't usually require you to spend a lot of money or to make numerous trips to the store for supplies. If you're a crafter to begin with, you might have just about everything you need to make these delightful little mugs. 😊 Thank you for sharing.
I absolutely love how accessible the materials are. I don't have much room or money for new supplies, so I really appreciate the thrifty options. it's incredibly inspiring seeing how creative you are with all your minis 😊 my favorites were the paint spattered blue and red mugs! they look exactly like the real deal!

The paper curls and behaves better because bending the paper as you did breaks the bonds of the paper. It gives the flexibility to wrap around something and not leave the large ridges you sometimes get when wrapping paper and it has less tendency to rip.
Seriously, this how-to video was done PERFECTLY . Very informative, very detailed, and every word was so clear . Also even though your voice is very soothing, this tutorial doesn't lull you to sleep . Brilliant ! 🎉
Glad it was helpful! Although some people do listen to my videos to fall asleep. A friend of mine soothed herself through Covid listening to my videos. A man commented the other day that he and his veterans group watch my videos to relax.
I just went LiVE making a complete Mini Pyrex Glass Cooking Set because I was inspired last night by your video here! The set is One-Of-A-Kind and available for sale! But I have no clue what to even charge for these being that these are probably the first ones in the world to be made! Thanks for the inspiration!
These would look great in a corner coffee shop or bakery! ❤ I saw a good hack this week on a video. They suggested using masking tape to wrap around little things like paper clips when you cut them, so they are less likely to go flying.
Omgosh, your mugs turned out amazing. I’m going to save this for a future project, for sure! Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic project with us, it is really appreciated. You simply amaze me, each time you share with us.❤️❤️

These look like so much fun to make! I think my faves were the red and blue splatter. They look just like vintage enamelware! Great tip on the diamond glaze. ❤
Thank you so much for that side by side comparison between dimensional magic and diamond glaze. It was easier to see the effect here, rather than on Ara's glass blocks (it almost looked etched). After watching a previous video of yours, I bought the dimensional magic, but once I use that up I will try the diamond glaze. Thanks!!!!
Glad it was helpful! I had never heard of Diamond Glaze before I saw Ara using it. It can also be used in a much thicker application (poured on). I'll try that out, I'm sure

I hope you keep creating and enjoying your project! Make sure you watch Little Gretchen's Workshop too. She makes things from simple materials too.
And definitely checkout Tiny Keyhole Minis. I love everything Jolene does. She does use a Cricut for some things but she mostly makes everything from scratch and free or cheap materials.

Ive already watched this a while ago but i had to come back to get refreshed. I wanna make a mini coffee house so... gotta have mugs! 😂 this video is so great. Thank you for explaining the process so well 😊 i can't wait to try and make some mugs soon
Thank you! 😊 Some people have made them from paper straws which makes them a little easier. People have also had success painting them with nail polish.
Really cute. Lots of good ideas. So the enamel paint wasn't the smelly one that needed paint thinner? I've seen people paint things like this with nail polish too.
The enamel paint is the oil based type that smells and needs paint thinner. It does give a very similar look to nail polish but I never use nail polish on miniatures. They may start peeling and flaking off a year or more later.
Cute cups. I have 2 suggestions. First, when you clip something, try holding it in a ziploc bag so the scrap end doesn’t go flying. Second, when I want to paint with Testors I just use the end of a toothpick to spread it. Because of the texture of the paint it flows easily off the tip of the toothpick and dries smooth. When I’m done I just toss the toothpick. Since I’ve only done this with metallic paints I’m not positive it will work as well with regular enamel but you can try it.
Thanks for the tips! I switched from using my own brushed to the cheap plastic bristle brush that came in the kit and it works well. I'll try the toothpick method for smaller items. As for cutting things and letting them fly, I'll straighten up my act going forward ☺️
I’m not sure why, but my whole life I’ve loved miniature things 🤷♀️
I think it's bc you've always had good taste 😉
I use these for my minifigures
I know why I've always loved miniatures . I'm a BARBIE GIRL ! Life in plastic, it's FANTASTIC ! 🤣🤣🤣

I have also loved them my whole life and have made many but nothing like this. She is a true artist!😊

As an avid miniaturist, I find these so cool! Those I've purchased are too chunky. Can't wait to make my own. Thank you!
Same here. I have some 1:12 mugs that look great but they're too big. They'd be the equivalent of 9" tall. These look better because they're in scale.
These would look great in a corner coffee shop or bakery! ❤ I saw a good hack this week on a video. They suggested using masking tape to wrap around little things like paper clips when you cut them, so they are less likely to go flying.

@@queencityminis Well--there's that too--if you don't mind. 😁
I do mind 😂 I end up looking for pieces. No more
@@queencityminis Try a magnet on a bit of string or stick, and sweep the area you think the bits flew maybe?! LOL
