Now I need to know the history of the fella that called this his shangri-la ...before he passed and decay took over. Fascinating truly a gift that you have.
Thank you! The light switch definitely isn't an exact match to the inspiration (my circles around the switches are convex and not concave) but it was so much easier to just use the rivets I had and slightly change the design. I actually think one of those rivets would make a great older style doorbell with a button in the middle.
Yes girl, the cobweb solution we've all been waiting for! Thank you for sharing even if you don't know who to credit. I could look at this for hours because of the DETAILS. I love it. I told Little Gretchen I need to write a Dollhouse Details song because they are that important 😂. I'm so excited to see your hands at work on your Dollhouse, it's going to be amazing.
Your attention to detail is insane. This feels so real! I only wish my aunt were alive, so I could share this with her. She loved to make miniatures and dollhouse scenes when she was alive. ❤
I love your work. Your mellow delivery is fantastic especially when you give indications that you are probably quite a bit more energetic in life. 😂. Your abundant details and stating that it’s so viewers can find new details the more they look. I will surely be adding this to my collection of new mantras to this new hobby to me. Finally I absolutely love the treasure trove of scraps you have collected over the span of many many projects. A priceless hoard for sure. Great job. Avid new follower, for sure!

I have recently found you in my suggestions. I have watches about 15 of your videos so far. I love your intricate little details and your eye for "normal looking ". Your imagination and creativity are top tier. You explanations are simple and clear. You choice of color combinations is spot on. BUT what has gotten the most is your innate use of dead pan humor! OMG! Sometimes i have to go back and listen again to be sure i heard it right. No inflection or tonal changes at all when you hit punch line. Its work to do that if your not a natural so i assume your a natural because of how you never break the spell with any changes. Just as flat as the rest of your speech, please don't take that as a back handed compliment some ppl are just less expressive in their speech especially if its in a teaching or explanation mode. I think its most enjoyable to listen to and relax with. Which is what i do with these types of videos. I have miniatures since I was very young but just never could keep them around. We moved alot as a kid then i had 5 kids (choking hazard, to broke and way to busy) and now as an old lady arthritis and neuropathy have my fingers and hands. But i get to enjoy your AMAZING WORK...and that makes my heart happy and your deadpan humor is my favorite type. Its so low key and easy and you'll almost miss it..but when we catch what you threw its all the better because we are not expecting it. Dead flies in the light fixture, and an egg sac in the web, this is some Next Level stuff. Absolutely stellar. I never Tire of watching you work, and hearing your soothing voice. Keep On Keepin On❤
Love the additions! The under shelf light fixture with 'flies' is an especially nice one. Still no graffiti, though, huh, lol. Maybe it's the UrbEx in me and having seen so much graffiti in abandoned buildings. I cut up the clear plastic packaging from Costco / Sam's Club croissants and use it for window glass on my layout. Nice, large and flat sheets/strips of 'glass' can be cut from just 1 container. The croissants are pretty good, too.
Thank you! No graffiti 😉 Bentley House Minis created graffiti on the outside of her abandoned coffee shop diorama. I love the look, but I'm not sure it would look good inside this small space. I have a feeling it would be the first thing everyone sees.
Another awesome video with heaps of ideas, tips and tricks. I’ve been looking for ideas on how to create cobwebs and the dryer sheets idea looks fab! Thanks for sharing Shyra 😊
Wow! Your way of detailing things is amazing! Love the cork board/chalk board idea. Also the dryer sheet to cobweb idea! I once put the arm- sleeve in glue and was very angry that I ruined a loved shirt. I glued folds of the shirt together while making it stiff/hard, which is annoying. Now, every time I wear/see it, I get angry with myself all over again! (I only wear it to knock around the house in.) Each time I see a new vid of yours on my feed I get excited, because you are a favorite of mine! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Thank you so much for all the sweet comments :) This is definitely not the first time I've put my sleeve in glue, but it's usually white or wood glue. This is yet another reason I avoid super glue. It stinks, and I always get it everywhere. Thank you for watching :) You can hit the bell notification near the Subscribe button and RUclips will alert you when I post new videos.

Aww, thanks so much! Sometimes I feel stuck and don't have any ideas for a project but I love when the ideas just flow like for this one. This was a lot of fun.
I just found your channel and have been bingeing your earlier videos. Thanks for introducing me to Robin Betterley’s kits. They are a fun, low stress first foray into miniatures for a beginner and served as a perfect distraction during our ice storm in Texas. I hope to some day use all the great ideas from this series.
I appreciate your self-awareness regarding your impatience and your dislike of measuring. I’m the same way. I have dyscalculia, and I wonder if you have it, too. I’m very creative, and dyscalculia doesn’t inhibit that at all for me because I’ve learned to adapt, as you have.
I didn't realize that was a thing! I'm great at math and measuring (I have done a few remodels and have to measure constantly for that). I am just a bit impatient and don't want to stop to measure or be precise in miniatures. Or wait for glue to dry. I'm guessing dyscalculia is similar to dyslexia in that it isn't actually a deficit. Just recently, it became understood that every civilization has people with dyslexia who have trouble with the written word. However, they are very strong problem solvers who think outside the box. The theory is that if everyone in a group thinks the same way and has the same strengths, the odds of survival are lower. So people in the group have "disorders," which are actually just normal human adaptation.
Hi hon just wanted to let u know how much joy you bring when I watch these videos. I get rather sad when they end lol.. Im totally fascinated watching how u create these mini masterpieces I also crack up at your sense of humour, your voice hardly ever changes pitch so when you do say something about your lack of patience and waiting 2min for it to dry I just laugh as I'm exactly the same. Also u buying some product and using it once or twice justifies u buying it 🤣..me too I mean it was used so hey well worth the investment 🤣 I've learnt so much watching u and to be honest I much prefer watching u that trying to replicate what u do but I do have a go so that's something 😁 I could spend hours watching u work and I do 🙄🤔 i look at the clock and realise another hour has passed but then see something else and think I'll just check this out really quickly and the hands of the clock have marched on..oops.. I also wanted to thanku for explaining every single step, even the smallest detail and why u did it that way or what particular material u used. Its just a few magical hours to escape into the miniature worlds we love and I truly thanku for it. The flies in the fluoro, lol genius.. Im 63 tomorow and still love miniatures after all these years, I remember being a lil kid and collecting the small toys that came in the cereal boxes and stashing them away in a old chamois cloth box my dad gave me, my lil secret box of goodies. Anyway I've rambled on enough lol Thanku again for bringing such joy into my day...🥰

That's awesome! I can't wait to watch. I LOVE your dollhouse. It's exactly what I would want. You're my soul sister when it comes to dollhouse style.
@@queencityminis aaaw🥹 🫶🫶 hey sista..soul sista! 🥰 If I can just get one room completed!!! I'm an adhd crafter..I'm just all over the place!!🤣 I just go where my head tells me to go! I'll be adding a mud room somehow..but I could totally see you creating that!! 💖💖
I love all these great additions to the lab! Really, all your videos scratch that part of my brain that need need need miniature things 🥰

Your details are amazing, loved the screw heads and the curling of the calendar and the box! Thanks for sharing, wish I could double like your videos lol
Thank you! I LOVE the screw heads. I love when I think of something simple to try and it just works.
I’ve just come across your channel and WOW. You are so talented!! The detail you put in your pieces is incredible!! I also love that you keep your mistakes you make in your videos. It’s natural!! Thank you!! Love your work. I can’t get over the detail you put into them. Like the cobwebs and one with a sac of eggs!! Just WOW!!
Aww, thanks so much! Sometimes I feel stuck and don't have any ideas for a project but I love when the ideas just flow like for this one. This was a lot of fun.
Just incredible detail!
Thank you very much!
That turned out amazing!
Thank you! I love it ❤️
Your videos are awesome! I love all the details you add. They really bring it to life.
Thanks so much! I appreciate that :)
Absolutely fantastic. I love love love all the details! And I love that you took suggestions from your viewers - that's really cool :).
Thank you so much! There were so many great ideas. I love all the new additions.
You are so welcome! I'm so glad you found your way to their kits. They are hands down my favorites.
Lavoro SUPER ECCELLENTE, complimenti sinceri alla bravura .
Thank you so much 🥰
Hi hon just wanted to let u know how much joy you bring when I watch these videos.
I get rather sad when they end lol..
Im totally fascinated watching how u create these mini masterpieces
I also crack up at your sense of humour, your voice hardly ever changes pitch so when you do say something about your lack of patience and waiting 2min for it to dry I just laugh as I'm exactly the same.
Also u buying some product and using it once or twice justifies u buying it 🤣..me too
I mean it was used so hey well worth the investment 🤣
I've learnt so much watching u and to be honest I much prefer watching u that trying to replicate what u do but I do have a go so that's something 😁
I could spend hours watching u work and I do 🙄🤔 i look at the clock and realise another hour has passed but then see something else and think I'll just check this out really quickly and the hands of the clock have marched on..oops..
Anyway I've rambled on enough lol
Thanku again for bringing such joy into my day...🥰
Happy Birthday! Thank you so much for watching ☺️ I think I have over 100 videos now to keep you entertained. I really appreciate your thoughtful comment.
