    Love this series, it was a total surprise for me to hear Bobby Kelly call you up on "The Bonfire" yesterday on Sirius XM Radio, a crossover of two of my favorite things.

    Just saw your channel love it I was blessed my grandparents came through Ellis Island from Calerbia Italy and I grew up with them in NY. Kids today will never be able experience that. In 2013 I started a journal of my life and experiences with them for my family to read Looking forward to watching more videos

    Pazzo means "Crazy" in literal Italian. the Il La Le Lei articles don't exist in Sicilian or Napolitano --"u Bazz " comes from PAZZO --
    Citruolo is a Cucumber

    You mean scemunito....a fool, like a citrullo, which is not a cucumber...that is"limone, a lemon.. write things the right way. Bacigalupo is a last lame. Pazzo is crazy, you are right . There is no "for short", say it all. Voglia is will, volere is to want. "Wollee" is just a distortion. Ammosciato, not mushad", it's limp, slow, tired , softened.

    ammosciato, not "mushad"...it means it got limp, whatever you are talking about:)..if you write things this way it takes a lot to find out what you mean

    It's not cetriolo , it's citrullo, so not a cucumber, but an idiot. unfortunately it gets changed from Italian into dialect into forgotten dialect mixed up with American and by the time Americans hear it and try to say it and write it, Italians do not even recognise it anymore...but I made it!

    Sicilian is not Italian

    • @RaDi0-HeAd
      @RaDi0-HeAd 3 месяца назад +1

      This is not even Sicilian! Sicilian never drops the final vowels from words. This sounds more like Neapolitan. The correct Sicilian words are scimunitu, citrolu, musciatu, lu (‘u) pazzu, etc.

    • @ornellabarbaro3861

      Exactly ! The words have been Americanized the Bronx way . Very low class way of speaking the language.
