My grandpa remembered a proverb from his parents, who are from Villalba. The meaning was, "take a long walk off a short pier and when you get there, write." How would this be said in Sicilian? My grandpa hasn't had Sicilians to talk to since his parents passed, and I think that his memory of the statement in the original language has become corrupted.

on one hand, yea I totally get it. good saying. had experience with this (the meaning).
on the other, damnnn being crippled means people hate you conceptually
