Haven't tried these particular ones but recently have tried chemical guys quick detailer wax and was extremely impressed with it. So impressed I spent $15 on chemical brothers 16oz bottle of their carwash soap and still highly impressed with the results from both chemical guys products. Also have noticed that my new truck still looks clean even after days of rain ,when most vehicles would have residue from road spray.

@@Carlos.Rivera They have a "Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax"..... Everyone is doing it.
And truth be told, they are all marketed as "ceramic" even though the majority of them as silica-dioxide coatings aka SiO2 - even the established CQuartz products are SiO2. They are used interchangeably in the industry because its simply easier to describe and market than "Silica-dioxide". Most products worth their weigh are going to have the SiO2 marking on the label somewhere. NONE of these spray coatings are going to last more than a few washes because they do not actually bond to the clearcoat of the car like an actual coating does

Interesting comments as you tested. The Chemical Guys product was clearly better in your tests but your comments were consistently downplaying the difference. You also mentioned that it was harder to apply but what I noticed was that it was easier to get good coverage because you could see where you had applied. The end results of your testing confirmed my suspicions at the onset of removal--also confirmed by previous videos. In theory, since CG is harder to remove, it *should* be more durable. I get the appeal of both though, on one hand CG provides a bit more durability and McGuiars is much easier to remove. Kind of depends on how much time you have to detail and how often you want to be detailing your vehicle. I'd still probably lean towards the CG as a topper over some sort of Carnauba Wax.

I'm seeing alot of comments bashing CG due to high prices compared to brands you see at auto stores. CG is actually way cheaper than most on a lot of their products. Reason being they sell full concentrates like a 64oz bottle of APC for $20 when delitued 20:1 makes close to 100 12oz APC spray bottles. That's insane! That's $0.20 each bottle. Again some of their items are expensive but the savings you get from other items like APC, Window Cleaner, Carpet Cleaner, tire cleaner and shine, and also soap for foam cannon which I have a gallon of Mr. Pink and I wash multiple cars every weekend and still havent put a decent size dent in the bottle and it's been 7 months now, makes buying those more expensive items seem way less expensive or atleast doesnt feel like its denting your pockets compared to buying only 1 bottle of meguiars and it's already premixed for $12.
Just throwing my hat into the ring :)

He also didn't prepare the surface properly for the Chemical guys, which means he probably didn't the Meguiars either. Chemical Guys says right on their website to wash and clay bar. I know damn well he didn't clay bar first. Can't do an accurate review of a product if you're not following their basic recommendations. Wash that panel, clay bar it, then polish it to remove swirls and small imperfections THEN apply the Chemical Guys and Meguiars and see which does better.

Problem with chemical guys is they try to push out so many products out, they do not have the sufficient R&D in these products (except maybe a few of their car washes). As for the tests yeah you aren't putting that harsh of chemicals on your vehicle but doesnt this show you how well it will hold up just at an accelerated pace? When you take your car to a car wash or wash it yourself aren't you subjecting it to detergents of some kind? Or simply driving behind another car eating their road grime and any chemicals the road has to offer. So you want someone to do a video where they wash and wax a car, not have any kind of control in the experiment ( because that's basically what this is, an experiment). Than you want that person to drive the car and wash it regularly over the course of a few weeks or months. And somehow keep it so that there is no change to the environment of said vehicle? At the heart of it this is a scientific experiment. He is going about it in a professional way. To the best of his knowledge he is controlling said experiment/test in a way that doesnt allow change in the process and he accelerates the process by using chemicals that may or may not be equal to chemicals we may encounter on the road and or at car washes. I'd say he is doing a fine job. If you can do something better maybe you should try it out and show everyone instead of complaining and saying he is doing a fine job. I'm willing to bet most people who are complaining also don't agree with politicians or the way something in the world is run. But that same person wont actually try to do something about it. Rant over sorry jimbo

Do you feel that spray wax offers less protection against road rash from highway travel than a liquid or paste wax? I feel that the process of hand buffing in a traditional wax and waiting for a haze to form before removing, really adds a better barrier against small debris on the road doing damage to the front of the vehicle. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!

I am just guessing based on how some 100% synthetic sealants work. I am thinking the carnauba is coming off but the ceramics are staying behind which is why it still sheets nicely but does not bead. Personally i think sheeting is better as it makes it quicker and easier to dry preventing waterspots. Which is why i loved NXT even though people were wrongly assuming it didnt last because of the lack of beading but because everyone likes beading water everyone is pushing these hybrids.

Lets face the facts.. here is what the chem guys instruction say--" How Long Do I Have To Wait For It To Cure?
HydroCharge Ceramic Spray Sealant is an ambient air cured coating. No special lighting or infrared light is required. The unique sprayable formulation starts to cure the moment it is sprayed out of the bottle and exposed to air. Once applied to the surface, the product will bond within 1-2 minutes. Always remove and buff to a perfect shine with a premium microfiber towel. After applying HydroCharge Ceramic Coating, it is ideal to keep it out of the elements in a dry and clean environment for 2-3 hours. Depending on the climate, the hydrophobic effects will continue to improve even more after 24 hours of being applied.
