Rather blunt. I think he could do a couple more. Hes only 79. Ridley Scott is still directing and he is 96. Clint Eastwood has directed his final film at 93.
It is george miller's vision. Fury road was meant to be the last mad max movie. We should be grateful he wrote backstories for his characters during fury road's creation.
I just saw Furiosa and it is a wonderful movie that kept me glued to it the entire time!! It is sad we are all so financially strained we can't afford luxuries like going to the movie cinemas these days because if we had spare money we would be spending on luxuries!! It is even worse that with the failure of this movie the entire franchise and the main characters and their stories suffer hey!!
I have to agree - I'm a bit disappointed I didn't watch it at the movies would have been so much better! But it is such a great film "graphics could be better". But the story line and the gory parts kinda give us a bit more detail to the Wastelands! I really enjoyed the film.
If the director is given another shot at making another mad max film, I don’t see it as a big budget motion, but more along the lines of a series like on Netflix or Amazon. With a severely cut budget possibly about 1/2 of what was used in the original budget. That might work out for the better in the future to keep the franchise alive and going.
This film was a visual feast and all the actors really brought something of quality to the film. It's unfortunate George Miller released it during the Woke Craze and people just dismissed this as just another girl boss narrative when it's so much more. If this came out in 2019 this movie would've set yet another standard of perfect cinematography and acting. I have issues with some of the story elements and I thought the climax was anti-climactic, but I'm glad I saw this movie. I give it a B-
I agree with you. I just saw Furiosa last night (finally) and I'm glad I did because it was great. Not on the level that Fury Road was imo in terms of action but it was still enjoyable. And one has to be familiar with the Mad Max franchise to truly appreciate the film and story of Furiosa. The Woke Movement just needs to go back to sleep already.
@@OrvinReyes I loved it as well. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga proved that the Mad Max franchise may not be financially successful but it's creatively more powerful than it's ever been.
Shame how this film didn't find an audience, a younger Amorta Joe in Furiosa was awesome, far more calculated and intimidating than his role in Fury Road.
We want to see a mad max movie. Not some f****** shoot off.B.S with somebody else

100% The backwards hollywierd logic. Mad Max is successful, so let's make a cheap knock off about a character that fans don't give a crap about. Cheap knock off fails, and in hollywierd's eyes that somehow equates to fans not being into Mad Max. So dumb.
"We"? Speak for yourself! Imperator Furiosa is a great character and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a great movie. The Mad Max universe is a lot more than just the Max Rockatansky character.
I really liked Furiosa! Watched four times... Really gave a new answer to what can be done that's makes death a sweet mercy... Plus it left two new questions... Who were her people? And what happened to Joe's other son?
@@kjc10 Been out of comics since 99'... I always joked that Fury Road was a Furiosa movie... And honestly I'm now interested in her more than ever... So hearing the movie is considered a flop sucks!
These characters are very well developed. If you think the newer Mad Max movies have no connection to the old ones, I would suggest that you go back and watch the Mel Gibson Mad Max movies again.
Furiosa is a fantastic prequel to fury road even without max. but I definitely believe Tom Hardy that the mad max wasteland movie will never see the light of day. If Furiosa would have never bombed at the box office, then the film would probably be in production right this minute.
@@dontmindme5189 If you hated Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, you probably also hated Mad Max: Fury Road. These newer Mad Max movies are probably not your kind of movies.
I really enjoyed Furisoa tho it was no Fury Road. What we really want is an old Mad Max w Mel. Maybe like the Logan movie. and maybe a return of the Humungous.
Well it's stupid to cancel Wasteland just because Furiosa flopped. You can't compare a movie where the cast is TOM FUCKING HARDY & CHARLIZE FUCKING THERON to a movie with Anya Taylor joy.
@@RoachsFilmReel It was set in an alternate disastrous version of the OPEC Iranian oil crisis in 73 so fair point, but I'd appreciate Wasteland for at least having the titular hero. Lol
the wasteland universe has such amazing costumes / characters / cars lets hope we get one more Mad Max movie before Miller passes away

We don't want a spin off we want another Tom Hardy Mad Max film why won't they give us.
We do

Mad max wasteland is in production according to IMDB.

Man that's a shame I was looking forward of seeing Tom Hardy return as Mad Max.
Oh well, these things happen

I think a smaller budget would be a given. Maybe it could get an anime series on a streaming service

Furiosa is a better character than Max. But cause she’s a woman men get all weird and dont like her. Grow up.

Fury Road and Furiosa are both CGI superhero movies. Every character is a cartoon. Neither film is even remotely connected to the original trilogy.
Valid point

Crazy world, Furiosa is way better then Max. Sadly news...
I preferred Fury Road
Mad Max Furiosa was amazing!! I think not many people knew it was out? Marketting? Stil.. that movie was simply AMAZING!!
We all knew lol we just don't want to watch contrived garbage. I saw it and it was terrible, walked out of the theaters.

Many were put off by the trailer, which featured a bunch of computer graphics that looked worse than the original trailer from 9 years ago

Would like to see what it would look like if Mel Gibson returned to the role.
That was the best movie I have ever watch in last 2 years
That was Avengers level move I think like it even more
That was really good movie I loved it
Honestly it wasn’t a bad movie the only thing off was the pacing other than that it was pretty good
I thought the exact same thing.
So now they made the main character movie depending on a sequel that plays in the mentioned character’s universe merely? Wow
Yep
Christ Hemsworth was like bad ass
Good things never last
They will make Wasteland Guarantee it.
I hope you're right ✅️
Miller doesn't want to work with Tom again...
Did he say that?
@@RoachsFilmReel Not directly - but friends who were on set talked about the tension in the camps. Miller was not happy.

Tbh he has said the timeline is all over the place. So if you ignore the fact that he said it will be a prequel, then it will still be decent.

Mel Gibson as old man Max
