I just purchased the 458BT which I believe are basically the same as the 450s but have red on them. I got them at Best buy on sale for $100. At first I thought it was a robbery but then I realized the headphones had been out for quite a while. My impression. Good not great, small frame to them, small ear cups (I have big ears), I did wear them for an hour and still felt comfortable. If the ear cups were any smaller I'd probably have to return them. I did look an Amazon for after market ear cups and everyone in the comments said the installation was a pain in the ass. Not worth it. If I had paid $180+ for the headphones I'd probably return them and get a pair of dre beats or Sony over the ear. But since I got these for $100 I think it was a really good bang for the buck. Especially because I use buds more than over the ear. This review nailed it though. They're average. Good entry level over the ear noise cancelling but don't compare these to $300 headphones. I almost got the JBL 760s instead but the senheisers have a good reputation. Nice video though man!
I had a Bose QC 45. However, I bought these ones used locally (barely used and almost new) for $50.00. They work great, in my opinion. Long-lasting battery life!
Staggerd by this review, it's not my experience at all. Granted, I use an independent equaliser but I find these cans offer a very rich and immersive sound adventure. The stereo seperation is cavernous without any sense of enclosure. The bass is wonderfully rich and deep and for the price point really marvellous. Wether you enjoy ambient music, classical, acoustic, banging DnB or, like me, the production values of Factory records then you will not be disappointed. Some of the cons are valid but the pros truly tip the balance if your main concern is the sound quality. All in all, what a bargain!
I had these since they came out, like 2020? I have the older version where it uses an android charging port not usb-c. Bought it when it was around $150 I think. Audio is good, bass heavy focused. The vocals sound muffled. These are almost like beats headphones but with Sennheiser name on it.
an "android charging port"? You mean Micro USB? That's just the previous iteration of USB (the predecessor to USB Type C), and not Android-specific. Android has had USB ports for decades by now, like pretty much any other electrical appliance, except for iPhones (although they are finally coming around, too).
these Sennheiser's HD 450BT's are 129 ( Canadian ) 95 ( USD ) for black friday ....the Edifier 950 are 179 ( canadian ) 131 ( USD )....i just need a set of headphones for watching netflix and my ipad for movies and utube and music....the noise cancellation and calls are not important to me really but GOOD sound is ....would these be a good buy ? or which headphones would you say to get for what i am gonna use them for....cheers from Canada
It's just scrap mate. Mine lasts a few months and stops working one side, not even able to recognise the sennheiser app or new devices. Only works ok when wired
The sound quality is quite good. However, the build quality is worse than average Chinese products - after a few months of use, the ear pads completely fell apart. Absolutely terrible.
Average for you, best thing i got
They actually sound terrible 😂😂😂😂 literally the £50 q30 sound better
Amazing sound..very comfortable. This guy makes me wanna puke..ugly effers..

I saw that these are on sale at Best Buy right now for $150 Cdn, which is not bad (white ones anyway) but I'm glad I watched your review.
80$ on amazon prime day
How do they fare compared to Audio Technica M50xbt2
My main complaint is they are quiet, I had some $30 go on Amazon special ear buds that we louder than these. Sound isnt bad but volume isnt there

Nah... They are terrible. Momentum 4 are leagues above in every way possible.

does noise cancelling still work during phone calls? on Sony it's awful
No anything using the microphone kills it
Picked up the 45 SE for $110 AUD, for the price really good value but the noise cancelling feature is terrible

weird, mine's lasted for some 3 years. I've only had to change the earcups since they started to show wear and tear
The case for the headphones are soft yes, but it is probably meant more for carrying the headphones and cables maybe even your phone altogether
These headphones actually need an update like HD 550 BT.
Just replaced...

I bought mine for 130
its blackberry
The most uncomfortable headphones ever.
