OMFG! The last minute of this song Taylor was like a fuckin FREIGHT TRAIN!! He really WAS one of the greatest Rock drummers to ever live. Rest In Peace Taylor. My heart breaks for your two families, that of your wife and kids and for the Foo Fighters. Rock On. 💔🥁
Last conversation I had with my dad was about going to see the Foo Fighters, he died two days later. The Foo came to Costa Ricas last October, this song was so meaningful that day
I’d think he’d always try to stay positive considering all the things he gone through in life and how he had lost not one but two frontmen that were his friends
Lost a friend last September. This popped up the morning he passed. I've known this song for over 20 years, but this live version hit differently and came right on time. I cried that morning but this song comforted me. Miss ya Eddie. "Kudos my hero, leaving all the best"
I grew up listening to nirvana in my early teens and listened to them every day for years. Seeing Dave and Pat playing together enjoying their music makes me happy
Dear Taylor, the beat of your drums still moves my feet whenever I'm listening to all the Foo Fighters songs. Rest in peace my friend, you'll never be forgotten.
Why don't they ever have a bass player camera angel? They showed everyone else but him. It's a pretty bass driven song it'd been cool to see him shine a little as well.
Maybe he is purposefully in the back, I always wondered why some people in Bands dont want to be the frontman and get all the attention but now I know I would never want to be the frontman and rather play this great Song but sit a little Back like the bassist
@@baxterrick8663 just because les claypool is a highly regarded and respected bass player doesn’t mean that his point is invalid. Les is the rare exception to the obvious rule.

They played this in a video montoge during my military basic training graduation in 1997 with my family in the theater behind me as all us soilders stood.... from a small town broken family and drug addiction to something so strong focused and powerful... I never felt so proud in my life... oh my the tears!!
He plays guitar for the Foo Fighters! I'd have a fucking perma-smile too! Without question... one of the greatest rock bands to ever grace this planet!!
Loving the Beatles aesthetic here. We’ll always love you Taylor. Always. You’d be so proud of Shane. He’s amazed the world. Like the entire world. What a legacy you’ve left. Rest sweet our man ❤
DN4Man no that’s because Noel Gallagher is the greatest combined rock n roll songwriter, composer, singer, lyricist of all time. Better than McCartney, Lennon, Dylan, Nilsson, Young, Bowie, Townsend, Mercury, Waters, John, Joel and Lynne. And even Grohl (an astute music aficionado knows this). That’s why. Not because he doesn’t want to appear to be an asshole. But because Noel is a living musical genius with just a tad more God like qualities than all the other geniuses mentioned, it’s called reality not perception.
They are in the Ed Sullivan theatre, and Dave Grohl/the Foo Fighters claim the Beatles as a major influence. Look up the Beatles' performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, it is an iconic performance that the Foo Fighters are paying homage to here.
william altman well yea they’re wearing suits. But did you not notice the elevated drummers platform, the design and font on Taylor’s bass drum and the fact that they’re playing at the Ed Sullivan theater. Clearly a Beatles tribute bro.
william altman , the entire set is set up like The Beatles set on Ed Sullivan. Look up the album cover picture from The Beatles “Something New” album. Also the Drum logo with the drop T font. The suits. You sir need to learn your music history.
Rest In Peace Taylor Hawkins. You were the best drummer of my era.
wow i didn’t know he passed.. i was just watching his new movie the other day. so sad rip taylor hawkins
OMFG! The last minute of this song Taylor was like a fuckin FREIGHT TRAIN!! He really WAS one of the greatest Rock drummers to ever live. Rest In Peace Taylor. My heart breaks for your two families, that of your wife and kids and for the Foo Fighters. Rock On. 💔🥁
All time of all time
@Brodiejamz - Nope, sorry. There's a better drummer in this band who sings lead and plays guitar. Not to mention, a dead drummer is a useless drummer.
@Brodiejamz great drummer but not all time but he was amazing and very talented
Ever since my dad passed, when this song comes on I know he’s there with me, cuz he is my hero
Sheri Peters stay strong man. May your dad RIP🙌🏼❤️
Sheri Peters that’s awesome! Speaking of hero’s I can say my dad is mine too.
Yes he has make real heroes after nirvana to foo fighters
Last conversation I had with my dad was about going to see the Foo Fighters, he died two days later. The Foo came to Costa Ricas last October, this song was so meaningful that day
Music does that. :)
The audio guy on this was a legend. I can hear the bass so distinctly
yep
Here shortly after Taylor’s death. Absolutely devastating. Man was he a legend.
WTF? Not Taylor!!! 50 is too young to die, especially someone so talented and genuinely nice.
Yes he was. An absolute MONSTER behind the kit. 💔🥁
He wasn't a legend, he is a legend and will be forever.
Too bad his bandmates didn't step up instead of looking the other way. A person with 10 different drugs in their system has an obvious problem.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH So have you seen the autopsy report? It's very normal to have 10 drugs in a system if you're on medication.
This is a band that truly looked like they loved each other and they always seem so happy to be on stage.
I love Pat, he is always so happy!
I’d think he’d always try to stay positive considering all the things he gone through in life and how he had lost not one but two frontmen that were his friends
He has slowly become my favorite part of the Foo Fighters.
It's weed
You are right. He is just happy to be playing in one such an amazing band like this.
Seeing this makes me miss really good rock songs like this. This song is perfect. Masterful song crafting.
Exaxtly...needs to be another FF or rush cause their chemistry in music is very well balanced
If you can’t find good music nowadays your not looking hard enough
Rest In Peace Taylor. This drum sounds real heavy and deep .
One of the best live performances ever. Love Foo Fighters.
Best rap album ever in your profile pic, you are cultured
@@SleepydillHis new album is great too. Nas still got it.
@@Guhsteh I've been skeptical about giving his newer stuff a listen.. I mean it is NAS but I just dunno how he gonna sound like flow wise and beats.

I keep alternating between this vid and the one Shane plays with the Fighters. Each one is majesty.
This is a perfect example of how rock n roll should be played! FAST, LOUD AND SWEATY!!! Massive respect to the drummer!
Rock in paradise Taylor! This is the first song that came to mind when I heard about your passing. 🙏🏻
I grew up listening to nirvana in my early teens and listened to them every day for years. Seeing Dave and Pat playing together enjoying their music makes me happy
there goes my hero, Taylor Hawkins, going crazy as always. He always cared about how every single hit sounded. RIP to a legend
kurtがヒット曲を避けたりチョケて変な歌い方したのも一つのパフォーマンスの形だけど、daveのように毎回精一杯歌い上げるのも本当に誠意ある人間性を表しててリスペクトが溢れ出します
I think this might actually be one of the best versions, I love the break in the middle with just the guitars before Taylor jumps in!
Rest in peace to a hell of a drummer Mr. Taylor Hawkins.
Whoever went to this show, witnessed a historic night in rock and roll history. Wasting Light is by far their best album
Dear Taylor, the beat of your drums still moves my feet whenever I'm listening to all the Foo Fighters songs. Rest in peace my friend, you'll never be forgotten.
Love the mix on this version. Everything sounds so tight and all the guitars blend perfectly.
I've always loved the way Dave bobs around while he plays and sings. Something about it just makes me happy.
The Foo Fighters greatest song. It will be tricky to do one better than this but I'm sure Dave will try hard to do so.
i like everlong more personally but my hero is definetly a top 5 or 10 songs from foo fighters
Everlong is their best
I think My Hero is their best also
@@SEALCOATINGISLIFE Yeah, But I think all their songs are pretty mediocre. I mean, facts, man.
@@vicferrari89 dude! U just offended the rock community! If u don't like their music don't watch it

Wow! What a live performance! The guitars are outstanding!
I love how he's looking around and checking if his guys are ok. Pretty badass for a frontman. He is a badass
I love the Letterman performances from that year. Taylor, rest in peace (WTF?). These are crazy times. Long live the music xxxxx
RIP Taylor. That drum line was so ICONIC!!!!!!!
Starting to realize that these guys, STP, Pearl Jam, Nirvana are to my generation as The Beatles and the Stones were to my parents'.
Thank god for the Foo Fighters!
One of my drumming heroes!... Rock In Paradise! 🥁🙏💛
yesh YT recommending this after Taylor's Death, thanks, he was a beast drumming and singing too
Con Pat en la guitarra, la canción vuelve a tener esa vida de los 90's :)
As usually (always) Foo Fighters shows an impeccable performance.
I love the outfit
There goes my hero, he's ordinary... RIP Taylor Hawkins. He's extraordinary.
It gets no better. Incredible.
Just when i thought i couldn't be anymore in love with this band then they came out with the beatles theme...i love it

Best Band on The Planet
Zack Hawkins the FUCKN PLANET...
That would be Oasis. Together or not, they are still all alive. And that opinion is not just mine, but Dave Grohl's.
Beta Call thats because Dave Grohl would be considered an asshole for thinking his band was the best band on the planet.
