I'm not sure why anyone would ever listen to a Chris Stapleton cover when you can just listen to Chris sing it.
I know, right?? Makes no damn sense!
Preach!
You can’t go wrong with Chris! He usually has his wife with him singing backup she is amazing too!
Thats cool, we appreciate the info
Aww I didn’t know that!! I LOVE when a married couple work together-doesn’t matter what they’re doing!
Hey y'all need to work on Y'alls tape stopping, you get a D on that.@@TheBr3akRoom
Not only does he possess one of the greatest voices you'll ever hear (regardless of genre) the man can straight shred too!
You'd be surprised the number of songs he's written for other artists across the spectrum of music! He flew under the radar for a long time.
He wrote for many country artist who won granmys with his written music and decided to start doing his own music
Thats whats up, he is great, thanks for the info Issac
Listen to him sing It's a Mans World, he can sang, and do James proud.
Love that Classic!...We'll play it!
What Brian means to say is , leave the request on Instagram Linda🤣🤣
You mean Instagram right Brian? 🙄🤣🤣
I’m pretty convinced Chris is his own genre.
You might be right 💯
Just type in his name and ANYTHING that comes up is GOLD!
Yup its all good!
There’s country, rock, rap, alternative and Chris Stapleton. He is his own kind of music
Chris Stapleton is country ,r&b blue grass , rock and roll . Yes yes to all of it.
You know you good when you don't have no background vocals
This song won 2022 Grammy for Best Country Song. He and his bandmates wrote it. He is a prolific songwriter. He also won 2022 Grammys for Best Country Album and Best Solo Country Performance (for "You Should Probably leave ").
He's his own genre....a mix of country, blues, etc
Daddy doesn’t pray anymore - terrific song of his ❤❤❤❤
Feel that yeah, hes been hurt and has an amazing way of conveying it through song in any genre. His songs just get better and better. Hes the whole package. The way he makes you feel after performing very few can do to you.
(I Was Wrong) live Austen City Limits, amazing vocals and an extended guitar solo that is great as well.
He absolutely kills it! Shredded that guitar solo!
Check out all the songs he has written for so many stars. He never wanted to preform on stage at all. He is from my hometown so proud of all that he has accomplished. And so much he has given back to our high school and our little town. So amazing he is !! 😊
God was showing off when he made Chris.
😎 Chris is the truth
💯💯
Most talented artist of our lifetime
When listening to Chris Stapleton I would recommend watching his live videos.
First time I heard Chris Stapleton I was like whaaaaat!!??? Another guy that is amazing-one of those shocks when you hear him sing is Teddy Swims. He is amazing!!! He does cover songs and he’s incredible!
Yeah we heard teddy sing tenn whiskey I believe.. bout 2 years ago.. he was great too
Welcome to the Chris Stapleton fan club ❤ love your reaction. Listen to I was wrong. Tennessee Whiskey. He doesn't have a bad song. ❤
I heard him live and you guys would love 💘 his stuff, I think
Man he has some serious soul, and a great voice
How fast l clicked on this video! I LOVE ME SOME CHRIS!!
Your perceptions are not wrong. Can't put Chris in a box. He is proving that music should have no limitations on what an artist chooses to sing. I always hear his bluesy inflections and I LOVE that about him. Take a listen to him singing Death Row.
The list of artists who sound even better live than in the studio is very short but Chris is definitely on it
Yeah he has a great voice, with a lot of soul 💯
He's singing at the country music awards and this is country music with the Chris treatment on top. I don't think there's a better singer/songwriter in any genre.
Chris Stapleton sings and you will feel his pain!! 😢😢❤❤
OUTLAW COUNTRY
Chris Stapleton is magnificent!!!! Try. I WAS WRONG.
Great reaction. Chris grabs you, doesn’t he? And he’s actually better live. It’s crazy.
I also do not like country and I don’t listen to country radio, but I discovered him in 2015 and there’s been no turning back.
He’s written hundreds of songs for other artists.
He’s won tons of CMA awards, Grammys, etc. He’s the real deal.
I’m not on Instagram and you mentioned that’s the only way you’ll take other song suggestions from him, so I guess I won’t list any. I could give you a bunch, though.
I’ve seen him live 3 times and will be seeing him again in October. He and his band are incredible.
And when you do check out other videos of his, you’ll see he has a female singer harmonizing with him. That’s his wife, Morgane and she’s another tremendous talent.
He is great, definitely gonna check out more from him. And yes Instagram is where we take the requests, no worries.. im sure we will get a ton of requests for him Laura.. so its all good👍🏼👍🏼thanks for watching the video with us
This is country rhythm and blues
👍🏼👍🏼
This that country blues
Chris has an absolute GOD given talent. I don't think he's country so much as blues. Just my opinion, any Chris's songs are worth watching/ listening to.
Yeah he is more bluesy than country
Just enjoy his voice omg!
We said he can sing💯
10 time Grammy winner and counting
💯💯
Chris is almost always better live
He killed that song
Gentlemen, welcome to the Outlaw Country genre!
Glad to be here💯
His live performances are better then studio he crosses the spectrum of types of music he has written music for perty much everyone
Thanks for checking it out guys!
It was great.. definitely have to do more💯💯have a great weekend
@@TheBr3akRoom You too!
Country Music has many Sub genres. Chris does them all. He is Primarily Outlaw Country Blues. But there are so many..Country Gospel, Country Pop, Country Western, Country Soul, Country Southern Rock, Country Rap...lol it is endless. So You are right, it is not the Country Box you have in mind.
I missed this. Big fan of Chris Stapleton. He is extremely talented. One of three artist I would pay to see. Dimash, him and Hua Chenyu. He is always more blues oriented.
BLUES!!!
I think of Chris Stapleton as Southern Soul... great reaction, you guys! New sub.
He is great, more on the way Jason.. thanks for watching
Chris started singing and playing bluegrass years ago. Look up the Steeldrivers and you may change your mind about bluegrassy country with a banjo!!!
Oh you say you want to hear more Chris! I got you!!
Yeah we definitely gonna check out more from him.. hell we still have to listen to his tenn whiskey, we late as hell🤣🤣🤣
@@TheBr3akRoomI first heard The cover of Tennessee Whiskey and my brother said Nah! You have to hear Chris sing it. I did, been hooked every since 😁😁
Brothers, soulful country goes way back. All the way to the beginning. Country talks about stuff that is real to all of us. There's more to us country folks than is popularly believed. Take that from an IT professional who grew up surrounded by cowboys and roughnecks. Cheers.
I grew up on country music and a huge fan!! This song is pure Awesomeness!!!
It really is a great song 💯
If Joe Cocker played the guitar like BB King? You get Chris Stapleton! You don't get to see this kind of musical talent but once in a lifetime, and here he is. Checkout "Fire Away", "What are you listening to" and "Sometimes I Cry". You will be blown away.
I looooove this song so much!!
He is the bridge to ......
Do more Chris Stapleton. 💜
We plan to💯
No disrespect, don’t try to explain it, just listen and enjoy the ride!!! You guys are boss!!!
Thanks for watching Sidney
Country or not. I'm adding it to my playlist as well as other songs by him😊😊❤❤😊😊
Chris is amazing 💯
Tennessee whiskey and fire away
Cbris is the man. He is a bluesy country artist.
He is great, just finished editing “ i was wrong” reaction.. he killed that song also
@@TheBr3akRoom awesome. Please check out his songs "either way" and "barely alive"(acoustic) and " sometimes I cry". I think you all will like them.
Chris is not "country". He's a genre of his own.
Check out “Sometimes I Cry” live at the Bing lounge. Simply amazing.
FYI he plays bluegrass too. His last band was Steeldrivers. They are amazing too.
Soul.
He played in the bluegrass band the Steeldrivers. He has a broad background, including blues, country and bluegrass. He also writes for other artists.
Amazes me 3 adult men not one comment on the lyrics of the song he wrote in 15 minutes. Chris tells a story on all his songs.
Who said we are adults?
Fire away
LIVE
It is delta blues country. Memphis TN a southern coty known as " the Home of the Blues". Influences many country artists. B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Albert King and more.
FYI, Tennessee Whiskey is not Stapleton's song. Stapleton covered it also. It was originally released by David Allan Coe.
Just saw this and wanted to say Chris is from Kentucky, he started off in a bluegrass band called The Steel Drivers with banjos, mandolins and fiddles(violins) lol. Bluegrass music is a form of the blues, hillbilly version.
He was a song writer and Imagine him coming to a record label saying I’m a blues singer turned down by his looks r&b declined by his looks country excepted him y’all even said it about it by his looks so no change country gives you a chance he is a hit 8 time Grammy winner and now y’all say he ain’t country ain’t this some shit
He actually did play and sing bluegrass with the Steel Drivers. But you're right...he has that delicious blues sound. Love him!♥️
He said he was influenced by blues, R&B and rap and you can hear it in his voice and his lyrics.
You definitely can hear it💯
You mentioned Chris Stapleton not being bluegrass. He started with a band called "Steel Drivers"... a true bluegrass band. They are on RUclips. You would be shocked!
Definitely shocked to hear it
This is just good music
💯💯
Funny you would say he is not like BlueGrass Country, when in fact he used to be with a Bluegrass Band called the Steeldrivers. Just for fun, try out one of their songs, maybe, "can You Run".
Plz react to whiskey & you from Austin city he has skills on that guitar & his voice is AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️
Love the Joe Cocker reference. I agree.
💯💯
No hes talented hes more blues and rock then country. Talent is talent he can sing any genre and it would sound amazing because he has a god given talent. He has a couple country songs but hes mainly blues and southern rock really but it doesn't matter when you can sing like this you can just sing any genre then who cares what they label him. The emotion he makes you feel when he sings hes a amazing songwriter and a amazing guitar player. Hes the cheat code very few get this much talent.
Yeah I’m the same, I hate country music but I don’t consider Chris country, more like blues and I love his voice! Y’all gotta check out “Sometimes I Cry” at the Bing lounge. You’ll be blown away by his voice.
Leave the request on IG.. but yeah he was great, definitely plan to see more of him💯💯
Anyone who says they “hate” an entire genre of music is immature and close minded 🙄 we know, it’s trendy to 💩 on country music but that doesn’t give you any clout or street cred. It’s ignorant and stupid to write off an entire genre.
Maybe you just have a bad mindset.. country is about real life.. real feelings..
People who have unwanted opinions about MY opinion are the real ignorant ones and just like the whole genre of country music…SUCK! F you and have a nice day👍.
😂😂😂 Y’all aren’t the only ones that basically think all country music is dogs and pickup trucks. Country music and the Blues are seriously like 1st cousins.
He lives in my town .... that is not lost on me.
‘You’d see this guy on the street and think… There’s a Klan meeting nearby.’
Now THAT’s F’ING COLD man. 🧊🤬
Don’t worry, I’ll close the door on my way out…. 🚪
It was a joke D, we have said worst about other people in a joking way.. but if you got to go, you got to go💯✌🏽
Welcome to the Chris Stapleton Rabbit Hole. Listen to more of him. He's got fans from every genre
Just saw Chris live this last weekend. He is even better live than on the radio. And yes, he is his own genre. Check out " sometimes I cry" by Chris. Really shows his range.
We have that one recorded from a livestream should be out in a few weeks💯💯
starting over is a good song
Thanks for watching and commenting
He literally played in a bluegrass band. Look up the Steeldrivers.
Chris is also a blue grass singer. SteelDrivers.
Country music c ok vers All Genres of musc!!❤❤
Chris has a lot of Memphis blues elements in his music.
Yeah Todd, you are exactly right
Jangan lupa..
Kopi mana kopi
See his performance of the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl!
Has anyone informed you he went up stage with a band and did a cover of it's a man's world ... I won't even comment I'll let the video speak for itself
No one told us that, they requested its a mans world though 💯💯
@@TheBr3akRoom look forward to seeing your guys take away from that one
Chris has established a new genre. This is not country.
Definitely not old school country
Listen to Fire Away! The video will break your heart too.
Listen to Jelly Roll's Save Me, or Need a Prayer ❤ Chris Stapleton sings Tennessee Whiskey like No One else!!😢😢❤❤
I am surprised not Brian didn't say he white lol and great video
Brian was thinking it🤣💯
I knew it 😂
my favourite Chris Stapleton Song is "I was wrong"
The "Austin City Limits" version is best. It has a fantastic "blues" style guitar solo that isn't in the studio version.
Country nowadays doesnt even sound like old country of like the 2010 n before that
You are 100% right
Well, Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore is a nice song that he wrote while waiting for his wife to change. It is a wonderful song. So is Maggie's Song, which he wrote about his dog after she died. Fire Away is brutal on your emotions. So is Whiskey and You.
And if you guys are interested in video as well, take a look at the ONE SHOT take of Say Something, which he did with Justin Timberlake. It is not just the voice or the notes. Chris is very good at arrangements, and most of his songs are sublime.
Country like Metal is a very wide genre.
You will hear a lot of Bluegrass, Blues and Southern Rock influence.
I don't do Instagram (yes, I'm old) but it doesn't matter because others will give you requests. His song that has the heaviest Blues influence is "Death Row" in my opinion.
Thanks for watching and commenting GK
Death Row is iconic. Simple clean but you go whooooa. He kills it.
He kills any and everything he does.. so good
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks for watching
Gotta check out his cover of "Man's World". He was in the audience and did it on the spot. Amazing!
So many comments that boil down to “I hate country music, so when I hear a country song that I like I rationalize it by declaring that it’s not actually country.”
We dont hate country music.. we dont like country music. And this wouldnt be typical old school sit with a banjo blue grass country.. would you agree? Or is this that😊
@@TheBr3akRoom I wasn’t referring to y’all, I was referring to people in the comments.
