There are songs that when you first hear them you don't like them and they grow on you. There are songs that you love right off the bat. Then there are those rare songs that the first time you listen to it, you just know that it is legendary. This song falls into the third category for me. The first time I heard this I was blown away. And the live version is even better, although I do prefer the CMA version to the Grammy version. Btw, the bridge for me could easily be Hall & Oates, then the way it goes into the guitar solo. It's become a tie for my favourite song of his, the other song is I Was Wrong.

BROTHER, i asked myself didnt anyone else feel like i did, that night, as i sat dumb struck at how damn beautiful this song was. You are the man. Im suscribed brother. However, If you want to see the absolute greatest live performance ever, then you must check out Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart’s version of “I’d Rather Go Blind” from their Live in Amsterdam concert. I promise you it’s the best live performance that you’ll EVER see, and I can assure you that you’ll be completely blown away! Joe is the smoothest blues and soul guitarist ever, and Beth? Her smooth, gritty soulful voice will melt your soul. Do yourself and your viewers a solid and react to this ASAP! I guarantee you’ll thank me afterwards! 😊👍

Although his cover of Man's World is great, I love his cover of Nothing Compares To You more.
