@@ghoultermina would be nice for an actual doom movie without a stupid ass plot and/or characters. Old doom slayer (played by chuck norris even though he's approximately millions of years old already) on his last trip (and ear) to hell... something like that.
Grim's doom slayer sounds like someone who is motivated to kill everyone just to redeem his fall. This man lost his son. Meanwhile Doomslayer in canon is still mourning over his bunny. I like both of these versions.

So, now that Doom Eternal is out, we officially and cannonically know, that YES, the Doom Slayer is the same Doomguy as he was in the original games. He stayed in Hell in DOOM 64, got recruited by that knight order, then he got cought in a trap by the demons and that is why he woke up in a sarcophagus in DOOM 2016. Not that it particularly matters, but still nice to know that those of us who thought it was like that were right :)
ok please press... 1 if you didn't find it funny because it wasn't funny for you... press 2 if your a bitchy SJW that no one likes and whose opinions are absolutely bull shit... 3 if you don't understand jokes Thank you for your time.
Honestly, as backstory goes, I thought like this: The Betrayer did his deal, and the Night Sentinels, although losing Argent D'nurs power, still confronted the demons but continuously losing. In the meantime, the original Doom Marine, after closing the portal on Mars (Doom 1) and saving Earth, jumps into Hell to defeat the demons there (Doom 2 and Brutal Doom). There, time and space flows differently, and he somehow found himself fighting the demons alongside the Night Sentinels, that greatly appreciated his unabashed badassery and his pure unbridled RAGE for thousands of hell-years, making him literally the demons' worst fear. When the demons (again, through cunning and strategy) were able to imprison our Doomguy, they were able to completely annihilate the Night Sentinels, and there lied our Doom Marine until our buddy Dr. Hayden was able to unentomb him and release him to annihilate everyone. And as to why Doomguy hates every demon...well...they butchered his unit on Mars, they invaded Earth killing probably everyone he knew (bunny included), then made him realize that unless he stopped them before they'd keep returning, he spent a literal eternity in a place where he didn't feel tired or hungry so he could focus only on butchering everything without respite, and those same things that he ingrained himself to hate and kill on sight for eons trapped and entombed him for ages...wouldn't you be literally too angry to die afterwards? Which, if you see it like this, makes the end of DOOM 2016 even funnier...Sam Hayden throwing him in Hell as in "Now go and die once and for all", but the Doomguy is like "Die? Bitch i went there first in HOLIDAY"
Doom 64 happens between the events of Doom 2 and Doom 2016 and that ties into your theory. You know, choosing to stay in Hell so no demon ever starts anything ever again, yadda yadda yadda.

When he killed the titan, he had his classic armor which was created by one of the hell priest. Also he is not immortal but an angel called serraphim gave him such incredible strength and speed that he can survive any battle against any demon such as the titan of the hell.
+Liberty Prime I'm saying what I know according to my experience in the classic Doom games and Doom x64. Also that time he had a sword which now u can see it in the Doom Eternal gameplay. This is why u heard "And Those That Tasted The Bite Of His Sword..."
+Christian Taylor yeah I think that's true because in wikia it says that he had been fighting in Hell for hundreds years. things are confusing but for sure ID Tech will explain everything in the new version.
Soo this is why the Cyberdemon is shooting rockets on me... He is trying to say "NO, NO, NO, NO! STAY BACK! DON'T COME CLOSER! PLZ! NO! I BEG YOU! NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOO!".
Raphael de Moraes Fontella actually, ALL the demons fight the doomslayer because they are afraid of him and are trying to survive. The only demon that doesn’t, is the cyberdemon. He fights you out of pure rage for what you did to him in the past
I love how when Doomguy rams the BFG into the Spiderbrain, you can catch a brief glimpse of the Spider giving him pleading eyes just before the Doomguy erases that big brain.
My favorite moment in the entire game still is when Doomguy backs up VEGA instead of just erasing him like he would do with any other being in his path.
Doomguy: *heads home* Daisy: BLEGH. I’m ded Doomguy: *makes every demon on earth notice his presence, literally every demon, even on the other side of the earth*
Nah, even worse. The moment he is done crying and the RAGE builds to maximum, this happens. *Cut to the ninth circle of hell were Satan is and while he is contemplating he suddenly looks up.* "I sense a disturbance in the cosmic order, as if a single person was just filled with pure rage."
Cannon. Who's to say he didn't have a rabbit? Sure it might not be his full motivation but it sure as hell would help nail the head in the coffin of the demons.
I'm confident in the plot theory that The Betrayer/Wretch is the Leader of the Night Sentinels, and is one that originally made the Praetor Suit for the Doom Slayer, who - by now, a lot of people have noticed from Quake Champions - is the same Marine from the Original two games; not that the Slayer IS The Betrayer. However, I want to cover a few points that I think people don't fully recognize, which can either clarify or confuse plot theories. The Slayer's Testament VI states: "The wretch adorned the Doom Slayer in a mighty armor, wrought in the forges of Hell, impenetrable and unyielding." No doubt this is the Praetor Suit being described. My only problem with this is that it doesn't exactly specify if the suit was wielded by the Betrayer or not. Think about it like this; if the Praetor Suit was used by the Betrayer, wouldn't the Slayer's Testaments have recognized this? Wouldn't the demons know if it was something they had seen before? My theory is that the Praetor Suit is a heavily-upgraded version of the Marine's Original Armor, courtesy of the Betrayer. Given the fact that Argent D'Nur conflicted with the rest of Hell, the Night Sentinels would likely know how to manipulate Argent Plasma for their own purposes. This would explain the Praetor Suit's ability to absorb Argent Plasma (if it was made by the Betrayer), which further increases the Slayer's ability to "draw strength from his fallen foes"; a power likely gifted to him by the seraphim, in addition to his other attributes (which is also enhanced via Siphon Grenades). Testament VI also says that the Slayer wielded a "Sword and Shield of adamantine strength". The Shield could possibly be the Praetor Suit (since the Armor would act like a Shield, protecting the Slayer). The Sword is likely referring to The Crucible; which, like the Praetor Suit, would've been recognized if it was used by the Betrayer. I find it difficult for a gigantic blade of pure Argent Plasma to not be recognizable. Not to mention the demonic vision that briefly shows The Crucible at the start of the game, when the Slayer is re-equipping the Praetor Suit; that alone shows that The Slayer knows about it. But: Codex Entry 1 for The Wraiths points out that Argent D'Nur was "colonized" in the First Age of Ascension. Slayer's Testament I states that the Slayer began his carnage "In the first age, in the first battle". Is Argent D'Nur's "colonization" during the First Age of Ascension when the Demons conquered Hell, or is it when the people who worshipped the Wraiths first came to Argent D'Nur? This blank space is further distorted via Codex Entry 2 for the Doom Marine; moreover the provided image. It shows the Marine wearing his older Armor, biceps and abs exposed. Yet the remainder of the Suit, minus the helmet, is almost identical to that of the Praetor Suit. Looking at the surroundings in the image, the Slayer is battling demons alongside two Night Sentinels, with a hooded figure watching above. The hooded figure is likely the seraphim, but could (though it's highly unlikely) be one of the Wraiths from Argent D'Nur. My theory to this plot point: After the Betrayer struck his deal with Hell, and the Demons overran the realm and corrupted Argent D'Nur's Wraiths, siphoning the Night Sentinels of their source of power, The Slayer fought alongside the last remaining Night Sentinels while the Betrayer left his brothers in arms to perish. In the Aftermath, after the Night Sentinels were defeated and Argent D'Nur was conquered, The Slayer was the last man standing. The loss of more innocent lives due to one man's grief further fueled the Slayer's hatred for demon-kind, and the seraphim bestowed a blessing to give the Doom Slayer the power that we see in the reboot. With such power at hand, carnage is unleashed upon Hell, and the Doom Slayer it's Harbinger. To clarify my reasoning behind the Betrayer being the Wretch who made the Praetor Suit, I go back to Slayer's Testament VI: "... The Hell Walker found the wretch who shall not be named, but in his heresy was loyal to his evil cause." "In his heresy." "Heresy" likely meaning selling out Argent D'Nur to Hell, in exchange for resurrecting his son, in the form of the Icon of Sin. In doing so, he fueled the Slayer's hatred to the point that he begins exterminating demons left and right. Realizing his opportunity to right his wrongs, the Betrayer forges the Praetor Suit and The Crucible for The Doom Slayer, playing his part in bringing destruction to the Demons. This has been a long-ass rant on my plot theory for the DOOM Reboot. If you've read this far, thank you for taking your time to read this. It's just my opinion, but one that I constructed as best I could, using all data provided along with a little creative writing.
I respect a person who is so involved into a lore and actually takes his time with theories, but as much I like your theory we can only guess what's in id's and bethesda's mind. Since this is a reboot of Doom and we got the classic Spider master-mind behind all of this we will probably follow the story from thee first 2 games maybe mixed with some more from Doom 3 (just a bit cuz this game sucks) . id and Bethesda said they are making a doom universe so I am really excited to uncover what's behind all of this and what's the origin of everything.
I wish people would stop using Quake Champions as canon. Okay, let's say this theory is right. There are many things that don't add up if this is a sequel. 1. Doom Guy destroyed the Icon of Sin, but it is still alive and in a hibernation of sorts. The ending of Doom 2 clearly depicts a battle Doomguy had with the full body of the Icon of Sin, so the Icon of Sin should be dead. 2. The Mastermind was also still alive, and should be dead since the ending of Doom. 3. There is only "one" Cyber demon that exists and was recently created, and codex suggests that it has a grudge against the Doom Slayer, suggesting they are ancient rivals and the Slayer is the reason it needed a new arm in the first place. 4. Codex and Logs claim Demons have only recently been modified by UAC technology. If this was a sequel, the demons would have already been modified by technology of the other universes UAC. 5. Doom Eternal concept art shows a Demon that's being described as a demonically turned Night Sentinel, or Doom Slayer, same armor and all. They all wield an argent axe and a double barrel as well. This suggests Doom Slayer isn't some random nobody who appeared in this universe with no relation to anything else. There were others like him who fell to the corruption before. All of this contradicts the fact that Doom 2016 is a sequel. Before you mention Quake Champions, it also has the Doom Marine from Doom 3 as a skin. Are you going to make the claim that the Marine is the same Slayer from Doom 1, 2, and 2016? Is that really the hill you want to die on? If you don't accept Doom Marine, then what's to say Doom Guy isn't a separate character to the Slayer? But wait! You can find the Soul Cube and Turkey Puncher machine in 2016, which totally means Doom 3 is canon, and these aren't just references to a past game in the franchise. *Sarcasm*
Peter Mazzei Doom guy is the only Christian I as a Thiestic Satanist respect because he instead of throwing water and shoving metal sticks in front of their faces to repel the most evil beings in the universe like idiots(no offense to Christian people btw) he sits there and shoots them in the face like a badass motherfucker like a normal person should if met with such a being.
Slayer's Testaments 1-7 In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of Hell and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured the Umbral Plains seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Night Sentinels, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him... the Doom Slayer. Tempered by the fires of Hell, his iron will remained steadfast through the passage that preys upon the weak. For he alone was the Hell Walker, the Unchained Predator, who sought retribution in all quarters, dark and light, fire and ice, in the beginning and the end, and he hunted the slaves of Doom with barbarous cruelty; for he passed through the divide as none but demon had before. And in his conquest against the blackened souls of the doomed, his prowess was shown. In his crusade, the seraphim bestowed upon him terrible power and speed, and with his might he crushed the obsidian pillars of the Blood Temples. He set forth without pity upon the beasts of the nine circles. Unbreakable, incorruptible, unyielding, the Doom Slayer sought to end the dominion of the dark realm. The age of his reckoning was uncounted. The scribes carved his name deep in the tablets of Hell across eons, and each battle etched terror in the hearts of the demons. They knew he would come, as he always had, as he always will, to feast on the blood of the wicked. For he alone could draw strength from his fallen foes, and ever his power grew, swift and unrelenting. None could stand before the horde but the Doom Slayer. Despair spread before him like a plague, striking fear into the shadow-dwellers, driving them to deeper and darker pits. But from the depths of the abyss rose The Great One, a champion mightier than all who had come before. The Titan, of immeasurable power and ferocity. He strode upon the plain and faced the Doom Slayer, and a mighty battle was fought on the desolate plains. The Titan fought with the fury of the countless that had fallen at the Doom Slayer's hand, but there fell the Titan, and in his defeat the shadow horde were routed. And in his terrible rancor between worlds and through time, the Hell Walker found the wretch who shall not be named, but in his heresy was loyal to his evil cause. The wretch adorned the Doom Slayer in a mighty armor, wrought in the forges of Hell, impenetrable and unyielding. With sword and shield of adamantine strength, the Doom Slayer set to banishing all that were left unbroken by his savagery to the void. Yet as the mighty Titan fell and dread engulfed the armies of Doom, the demon priests of the Blood Temples laid a trap to capture this scourge of Hell. Insatiable, even by the vanquishing of the Great One, the Hell Walker sought prey in the tombs of the Blood Keep. And blinded by his fervor, the lure drew him in. The priests brought down the temple upon the Doom Slayer, and in his defeat entombed him in the cursed sarcophagus. The mark of the Doom Slayer was burned upon his crypt, a warning to all of Hell that the terror within must never be freed. There he lies still, and ever more, in silent suffering.
+LawDaddy More akin to a champion of the Christian God I suppose, the old original DOOM books describe him as Catholic. You could say he's effectively the ultimate crusader, much like the armor of the Night Sentinels might suggest, given actual power from God like God did to Moses in the book of Exodus, as Moses brought the plagues upon his brother and Egypt, the Doom Slayer is the embodiment of God's wrath against Hell itself, given God's sword and imbued with his might to slay the demons.
Doomguy is still my favorite Silent Protagonist of all time, even if others don't think so, I will always stand by his side. ESPECIALLY WITH DOOM ETERNAL WHEN IT RELEASES! RELEASE THE SLAYER!
that last line reminds me of the opening of "Dethklok's Home for Wayward Kitties" *in an amazingly gritty deep deadly voice* Release..... The Kittehs!!!!!
With the idea that the Doom Marine can travel through multiple time periods in mind, I personally like to believe that the Doom Marine was originally the same Doom Marine from the original Doom games, who began a crusade across the ages against the demons after the events of Doom 64, where he chose to stay in hell to make sure the demons never cause any problems again. During this crusade against the demons that lasted god knows how long, I like to believe that the happened across Argent N'Dur pre-hellification and decided 'Huh, nice place. Well, I've been killing demons for a while now, so maybe it's about time I settle down.' And he does. And for who knows how long, life goes pretty well for the Doom Guy. His badassery allows him to become head of the Knight Sentinels, he meets some nice girl, and by extension gets a son. A family. Of course, nothing good is meant to last, for Doom Guy's son eventually passes away while the Knight Sentinels are in the middle of defending the Wraiths from Hell's forces. In his grief, he strikes a deal with the demons to revive him, and they agree on the condition that he take them to the Wraiths. He fulfills his end of the bargain and his son is revived... as the new Icon Of Sin to replace the one he destroyed during his original battle against the demons, something the demons likely did to mock him. With nothing but pure rage left after losing everything thanks to the demons and his own rash decision, the Doom Guy opts to never stop until each and every demon has died in the most painful way possible. During his time of striking fear into the hearts of every demon he encounters, he encounters the nameless Wretch, who for reasons unknown, opts to upgrade the Doom Guy's armor, which he still donned and kept even during his time in the Knight Sentinels, making it even more powerful and allowing it to be powered up by Argent energy. After killing god knows how many demons and becoming even more powerful thanks to that angel, the temple falls on him and we all know what happens after that. So yeah, that's personally what I think regarding the Doom Guy's origin in this game. I mainly thought this up because while I do believe the Knight Sentinel theory has credibility, I think the idea of this being the same Doom Guy from the original games is more badass. Plus, it would explain WHY the Marine's armor has manufacturing numbers and company logos, why he can understand English and work futuristic technology, and why he's so distrusting of the UAC. *UPDATE (Doom Eternal spoilers):* I must say, it feels gooood to more or less be right :) barring all the 'betrayer' stuff, but honestly, I never really bought into that.
If you take that multiple universes are a thing, and there are two which both have UAC´s, it makes sense. I would only question the part with Doomguy making a deal with the demons. On the one hand, he is called incorruptible in the Testament, on the other, they did kill his rabbit, so he should know better. Finally, the betrayer and the Doom Slayer are never directly linked in the Testament. Probably for a reason.
Also the armor on his belly seems to be fixed (the metal pieces looks different from other armor on Praetor Suit) and on the armor of the original DoomGuy thise part of armor was torn apart by demons.
jeremy ryder Father was trying to talk sense to him, explain that he needs all of his sons as generals during Great crusade, but Doomguy screamed earth shattering "FUCK YOU DAD" and escaped into the Eye of terror just because he wanted to kill some daemons.
to quote tfs: "letting your friends run to stand and fight alone. and i thought you were brave" "i think this is pretty brave" "on no, suicide is the cowards way out"
Holy shit, I have literally been searching for this video for like a year. The one thing that kept me looking was the chance to hear you say "MOTHAFUKIN DOOMGUY!!!" just once more! Awesome video!!!
I always figured that Doomguy in the 2016 game is the same protagonist as the first two DOOMs. And after Doom 2, he never left Hell. So he killed millions of Demons. Earning the name "Doom Slayer". Because Hell is an alternate plane of existence, there is no correct time or year. So he could have been in that tomb for thousands of years while also only visiting Hell several decades ago. This explaines why Doomguy knows english, looks human, and knows his way around a gun. It's also worth mentioning that in level three of the 2016 game, the player can find a secret that lets you explore a part of E1M2 of the original DOOM. If you are killed by an explosive barrel, your detached head and helmet will fall in front of you. In this E1M2 replica, you can see the sprite if the original Doomguy in this helmet. This could either be a fun easter egg, or a hint that you play as the original Doomguy.
Also Doomguy hates the demons because they destroyed Earth at one one point, and killed his pet rabbit. So it's understandable why he brutally murders any and all demons he sees
here's a more indeapth story of what happened. in DOOM 2 hell on earth you do go home. but you go back to hell in DOOM 64 and are trapped in a sarcophagus. (straight up man you know were I'm going) in DOOM 3 you play as 2 new guys (new guy 1) he goes to hell and has a boss battle in huge arena with a cyberdemon that in the middle of this room has... you guessed it a sarcophagus. (new guy 2) he brings the sarcophagus back to the mars base and then dies from hells heart sucking out his life. (the last level is even named Primary Excavation Site - hellhole.) also through each codex referencing the traitor and the DOOM slayer. the traitor never killed his son after he turned into the icon of sin. that would be a very big detail in the demons eyes but they never state that... the DOOM slayer killed the icon of sin... (also ID software never said that this new DOOM game was a reboot the fans just assumed)
The story was actually written vague enough for fans to believe this theory while still not violating canon. I'm still confused why people call it a reboot though when it clearly follows the story of the previous games. I get the sarcophagus is differently shaped and Hayden existed after Betruger's assault and found Doomguy in Hell, but the tapestry clearly shows Doomguy with the soul cube. Doom 64 definitely supports this theory, as well as Doomguy's absolute appreciation for life from kicking the shit out of his CO leading him being detained and sent to Mars in the first place. I'd like to think the leader of the Night Sentinels was reincarnated through Doomguy, or that Doomguy is the lead Night Sentinel and lived many lives including BJ Blazkowicz but I personally think it's Doomguy from the first two games and he didn't awaken because Betruger only started to bring Hell to Mars before he was killed by the older Marine. I dunno, I like the theory that he is human and stayed in Hell to punish the demons and he earned his power, not some fucking alien that was retarded enough to side with creatures he absolutely knew would betray him because he had to protect the universe from them in the first place. The Marines from Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil had to use ancient artifacts against the forces of Hell because they were normal dudes, and there was something special about Doomguy that set him apart.
I don't think he is the betrayer after watching the eternal gameplay release because they show a picture of a monster wearing armor parts and gear that look exactly like slayers and one of the developers says bascially says " you guys notice how he looks similar to slayer, well he is his mortal enemy and there is a backstory to him". I think that creature (which looks humanoid) is the betrayer.
Dolfie Hitler the only knight who betrayed the rest was the betrayer, so what if the mauarader is the defrayed and the doom guy is one of the knight survivors
Andrew Preval guys its not a reboot. Doom guy is from earth and is avenging Daisy, his pet rabbit. He traveled through multiple dimensions in order to destroy every hell in existance, hinting towards the idea that many if not all mods are canon. Though yeah he's not the traitor, since from what I remember the traitor was slain by his resurrected son.
also to be honest I love this backstory for Doomguy instead of the old, first day on the job and literally all hell breaks loose It felt more... Believable
Seems pretty coherent to me -- The "Wraiths" are the bosses from Quake 1 and the Night Sentinels are the "Enforcers" -- They also look like the bot "James" from Quake 3 (which Doomguy was in) -- the Slayer Testaments each refer to a particular game Doomguy appeared in -- "between worlds and through time" could easily refer to Quake 3 Arena or Team Arena -- The Titan is probably just one of whatever they get the heads for the Icons of Sin from -- Doom 3 is a prequel involving a guy not directly related to Olivia's cult. Its all there. It also opens the door to a 3-way inter-dimensional fight between demons from hell, cyborg zombies and Cthulu monsters. I'm kind of terrified to see how Commander Keen fits into all this...
Why so angry? -given dead end job -attacked by demons, friends are killed (as a marine) -kills demons to survive but learns their weakness, lead. With equipment and strength as a likely already angry man -kills a head demon and feels relived for once, safe enough finally -wait they are on earth, and in his hometown -fights back with the full sound of heavy metal background on earth but the invasion is toooooooooo widespread -goes to hell to stop the invasion, kills a shit ton of demons and a head demon to halt the invasion(icon of sin I think?) -is feared by demons and even kicked out and is a deadly man, has literally STOPPED HELL AND CREATED FEAR -wakes up later in UAC and is respected as a terrifying relic -#thisbullshitagain I mean, I prolly missed some shit but the games itself proves why he's angry, he's a killing machine, never safe, now wakes up to fight demons again like fuck I'd be pissed too. But he can fight back now. -

My theory to this plot point:
After the Betrayer struck his deal with Hell, and the Demons overran the realm and corrupted Argent D'Nur's Wraiths, siphoning the Night Sentinels of their source of power, The Slayer fought alongside the last remaining Night Sentinels while the Betrayer left his brothers in arms to perish.
To clarify my reasoning behind the Betrayer being the Wretch who made the Praetor Suit, I go back to Slayer's Testament VI:
"... The Hell Walker found the wretch who shall not be named, but in his heresy was loyal to his evil cause."
"In his heresy." "Heresy" likely meaning selling out Argent D'Nur to Hell, in exchange for resurrecting his son, in the form of the Icon of Sin.
Ohhhhh, now this one is certainly a wall of text worth reading. And it actually makes sense given the testaments.
Props on the theory, bucko.
Good theory.
TL;DR
Shorter Version if you would please?
*Sarcasm*
King J. Grim: Doom Slayer is the Betrayer.

Slayer's Testaments 1-7
In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood.
Travis Nelson So Doomguy is technically a fucking God
eh sorta im assuming the seraphim have a way of taking the blessing aswell.....they do right?clearly they cant be that stupid? right?guys?

More akin to a champion of the Christian God I suppose, the old original DOOM books describe him as Catholic. You could say he's effectively the ultimate crusader, much like the armor of the Night Sentinels might suggest, given actual power from God like God did to Moses in the book of Exodus, as Moses brought the plagues upon his brother and Egypt, the Doom Slayer is the embodiment of God's wrath against Hell itself, given God's sword and imbued with his might to slay the demons.

dawggy Nah man. He's mad they didn't wake him sooner. He wanted to be woken the second some fuckwad demon needed his shit kicked in.
No because you fqcked in the hread
Moral of the story. Never wake a sleeping Doom Marine.
he’s mad because his pet rabbit daisy was harmed
He’s mad because that demon that he saw right next to him when he woke up did the poor-your-hand-in-a-bowl-of-warm-water trick
Even though doom eternal has made this whole video non-canon I genuinely love this interpretation so much
"And no, I'm not talking about the place in Norway."
So the one in Michigan?
New Jersey!
Nah, the one in Texas!
Detroit sounds like Hell to me, alright.
WWhiteSShadow There's an actual city in Michigan named Hell. But to be fair, it's actually close to Detroit though.
Ay!!!
8:36 I am 100% liking this video mainly cuz of this moment.
I laughed so hard i was barely breathing... THE MUTHAFUCKIN' DOOMGUY
i was dying lol
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
That made me laugh out loud
My moment is at 10:29.
Well, I've been killing demons for a while now, so maybe it's about time I settle down.'
And he does.
*UPDATE (Doom Eternal spoilers):*
I must say, it feels gooood to more or less be right :) barring all the 'betrayer' stuff, but honestly, I never really bought into that.
I like this.
i think the betrayer is actually the person...thing that upgrades doom guys armor
lolrus555 Totally agree with this
Also the armor on his belly seems to be fixed (the metal pieces looks different from other armor on Praetor Suit) and on the armor of the original DoomGuy thise part of armor was torn apart by demons.

Holy shit, I have literally been searching for this video for like a year. The one thing that kept me looking was the chance to hear you say "MOTHAFUKIN DOOMGUY!!!" just once more!
Awesome video!!!
that Imp scream was hilarious :D
So it's understandable why he brutally murders any and all demons he sees
if you see better the box of the game you'll see his face
it's similiar to the motherfucking marine of doom 1/2
He left to help rebuild the world, sometime later the demons came back and the events od Doom 64 happened.
Only then he stayed in hell.
here's a more indeapth story of what happened. in DOOM 2 hell on earth you do go home. but you go back to hell in DOOM 64 and are trapped in a sarcophagus.
I think that creature (which looks humanoid) is the betrayer.
jacob Gillespie You mean the Marauder?
Pyrrha Nikos Yeah thats the name they give him
Doomslayer is the betrayer, the maurauder is prolly a corrupted knight sentinal or a doom slayer from another reality
Demon: He's out of ammo!
Doomguy: *Cracks Knuckles*
Demon: RUN AWAY!!!
"Because it's..."
"THE MUTHERFUCKIN' DOOMGUY!"
I'm subscribing solely because of that. Pure Enthusiasm.
also to be honest I love this backstory for Doomguy instead of the old, first day on the job and literally all hell breaks loose
It felt more... Believable
Actually, it's a couple hours after the outbreak cause doom 3 is supposed to be a prequel
Well, as believable as a series where there are chainsaws on Mars can be.
I'm kind of terrified to see how Commander Keen fits into all this...
i think, the first doom is how dooms guy got into coffin and was tortured for many years.
BlackDan I don’t think he was tortured
Why so angry?
-given dead end job
-attacked by demons, friends are killed (as a marine)
-kills demons to survive but learns their weakness, lead. With equipment and strength as a likely already angry man
-kills a head demon and feels relived for once, safe enough finally
-wait they are on earth, and in his hometown
-fights back with the full sound of heavy metal background on earth but the invasion is toooooooooo widespread
-goes to hell to stop the invasion, kills a shit ton of demons and a head demon to halt the invasion(icon of sin I think?)
-is feared by demons and even kicked out and is a deadly man, has literally STOPPED HELL AND CREATED FEAR
-wakes up later in UAC and is respected as a terrifying relic
-#thisbullshitagain
I mean, I prolly missed some shit but the games itself proves why he's angry, he's a killing machine, never safe, now wakes up to fight demons again like fuck I'd be pissed too. But he can fight back now.

On the real tho
