Between randy and sonny I chose sonny for sure! He is very humble and he always mentions who helps him out. He doesn't leave out important details that shows great appreciation. Through it all I love illiminate for being amateurs that are strongly progressing with their love for cars. Keep up the content sonny!
Wetsand starting from 1500gri and go up to 2500-3000grit..then you can polish and buff. Make sure when you wetsand to do it back and forth motion and not circular motion.
Maybe sonny should choose the color for randy s13 coupe lol 😁 For orange peel try with 2000 grit first then use 3000 grit to take the 2000 grit scratches out then you can buff it or clear coat it after.
Kenny Man gotta clear it after. You’ve done all this work at least try and make it look the nicest with clear. Clear with probs make it look more red too and less pink
I dont have a professional booth, covering up my garage with plastic wrap from walmart 10 bucks, spray gun was 15 bucks, compressor i got for 50 bucks I use it for airtools because any car guy should have air tools and power tools along with those regardless, a spray gun will get you a much better result than any brush and will save you a lot of time on sanding which is worth it in my opinion
Oscar TV in cali it's illegal to do stuff like that especially in a garage in a residential area. Also the neighbors will most likely call the cops, well because its cali.....
NissanHyoryuLyfe i mean what happens behind an enclosed garage is up to the home owner, I dont live in Cali so that rule doesnt apply to me, but any real car guy should still have a compressor lmao
having been a furniture refinisher that did all hand painting with polyurethane ( basically the same type of finish as enamels ) there is no way superfine papers are going to make a dent in all those high brush marks ... the only way you'd ever get a smooth finish is to go back to, maybe, 320 wet sand to see if that removes any strokes ( if not - then 280 ) ... if it does, then you'd have to gradually go up to finer and finer papers ... I doubt if you'd ever get a gloss final finish but you might get a really nice satin or semi-gloss with the right amount of elbow grease with straight line sanding, and then rubbing compounds ... maybe even, the right waxes could bring it up to a gloss ... frankly, you could have done it much faster with low nap velour rollers and sanded that down even faster since the dimples would be less high... but as others mentioned a cheap spray setup wouldn't have cost much differently and done a much better job www.amazon.com/Shur-Line-4945C-4-Inch-Velour-Refills/dp/B000I1QB72
I have to say, GREAT JOB Sonny! Would have never thought of doing this, but its really cool that you did it and it looks great! Keep up the great vlogs man, you've come a long way bro!
Nami yeah from a far and on camera it looks okay but when you get up close you can see all the trash in the paint you can really see how bad it is when son sets the camera on the hood and im sure it's worse in person. Cool for youtube content but I wouldn't recommend doing it this way
Sonny, need to bag your car to make drive safe on Street. Koenigsegg does it on their cars in front. What kind of paint did you use? Rust-Oleum? Might do on mine! Remember a paintgun just puts paint on car. I painted my truck Black with harbor freight spray gun. In my backyard, in the dirt, Black. In 105°. Great job.
ok so at 0:42 the skyline is on 3 wheels, and the lifted one is spinning, does this skyline have an open diff or am i missing something? it would seem strange to me that any r32 or r33 would come with that.
My and my bro wide bodied his supra in our front yard and sprayed it in the garage aswell direct gloss in white. No heat treatment nothing. Came out pre decent. Cost about $200 in paint and $50 for a gun.
I'm looking for an inexpensive way to spray. How would rattle can look? Can you wax yours? Did you wet sand? I'm interested in the final quality, tempted to do all the prep then have a shop spray it, or buy the stuff myself.
Yo dude, you can use a brand called Peval Sprayer to finalize your paint job. Or to do a touch up paint job. It's a spray can style with a paint canister connected on the bottom.
I like the bright colors, all the crew is rocking black, white or the subaru blue so it makes your 240 stand out Will you keep this light red or will you change it once you get a permanent solution?
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with Spoon engines. And on top of that, he just came into Harry’s and ordered 3 T66 turbos with NOS... and a MoTeC system exhaust.
Bruh, for the booth, you get the illiminate tent, get some tarp for like 2 dollars, tape it all the way down the sides, get a 20 dollar harbor freight spray gun (they’re actually mad good) and bam.
you could buy a used spray gun for 20-30$. and you can ask around a body shop if they let you use their booth. some might let you use it for free while others might charge you 15-20$ to use one.
Get a lot of plastic and cover ur garage in it and park ur car inside and spray it down, my homie did it with plastic dip and he only spent around 20p,and the sprayer he bought was a little 40$cheap one, it was worth it came out good, should do it on ur next paint job lol, or wrap it yourself with 3m, would make fun content, keep it up anyways 💜
Car looks so good LOL! Should I spend $100 for a color change? 🤔
illiminate yeee🙂
Do roller paint for ur gtr lol
Swag bitch lol
keep the s13 white
illiminate that would be some sick content on your Channel

Killing it bro. Looks 100% better. Even if it doesn't last you should be able to afford a good paint job by the time this one fucks up.

Love seeing all the modding going on in the DRIVEWAY! Keep killing it, Sonny!
That’s actually quite a bit better than the roller paint job on the s14 and for only $80 👏🏾👏🏾 gg
Nami it still looks like trash😅
Dolly DeHart I’m lowkey feeling it 😂 it’s different, could be better but it’s temporary so it’s aiiggghhhtt

This is way better than what he had before. They shitted on him with the color though. Should have left it blue.
Dolly DeHart nothing Randy can’t buff out 😏😂 it’s true though on the skirts and stuff you see it
Hey! Thanks for linking to my "Poor Man's Paint Job" write up! Glad to see it worked for you!

To wets and it I recommend you use that LYFESTYLE GRIT sandpaper. Smooth as buttah
The paint job is bad ass
My and my bro wide bodied his supra in our front yard and sprayed it in the garage aswell direct gloss in white. No heat treatment nothing. Came out pre decent. Cost about $200 in paint and $50 for a gun.
You can put up tarps and use piping to make a paint booth .
First time watching your channel. Pretty chill group of friends. I'm subscribing. Looking forward to some more content from you guys.
Looks way better than I thought it would after that first coat -- hell yeah guys!
Wow never heard of this method before. Pretty cool crew you have to help, looks like you guys have a blast making vids!
sonny you should weld like a metal frame for the thing ontop of the bumper like make a frame the exact same shap so it could stay up in place
I'm looking for an inexpensive way to spray. How would rattle can look? Can you wax yours? Did you wet sand? I'm interested in the final quality, tempted to do all the prep then have a shop spray it, or buy the stuff myself.
what kind of paint did you use?.....house paint with gloss????
Not sure. But one video said to use half mineral spirits and half paint to get the right consistency.
Yo dude, you can use a brand called Peval Sprayer to finalize your paint job. Or to do a touch up paint job. It's a spray can style with a paint canister connected on the bottom.
Looks dope for a foam brush job killin it
That extra ventilation on the bumper😂
Great job thimbs up.
Car lookin hella good
Awesome video! Can someone tell me what sandpaper to use for wet sanding? Some tips?
I'm really feeling that cherry blossom red yo .. keep up the good work, Son
I love vu in the back in the intro sipping water and his facial expressions😂
I like the bright colors, all the crew is rocking black, white or the subaru blue so it makes your 240 stand out
Will you keep this light red or will you change it once you get a permanent solution?
How on earth are you painting your car with a brush!?!? And it look pretty darn good!! Hows it not leaving the brush strokes
theeroom the entire car is a huge brush mark. Look closely
Can’t wait to see the finished product
So cool to see Christan in the videos re watching this in 2020
240 is looking clean Sonny!!!
you should spend $20 on a few cans of UV protective clear in spray cans. that would make it pop
So you painted it with sponges on sticks and then sprayed it with clear coat?
What body kit do you have on the 240? Paint is looking good!
Looks like you should add 2-3 more coats and shouldnt you clear coat it first then Wetsand?
What cost more professional paint job or a wrap like sd wraps
Cant believe the paint came out good how you did it, hope you wet sand it and detail it so it looks mint
Dude, Son, just take off the old wipers and repaint them
why i like the blue before, looks better than pink. i wish you paint the s13 blue again soon 🙏
Dude, you could just went to pay'n'spray...
Ive used this method before it looks good for the first little bit and then for some reason it gets very dull no matter how many coats you use
Son is always very careful while saying acetone
You can set it up and cover it with thick plástic like industrial plastic
"You're so
Fucken
Precious
When you
SMEEELLLLL" 😂😂😂
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with Spoon engines. And on top of that, he just came into Harry’s and ordered 3 T66 turbos with NOS... and a MoTeC system exhaust.
Haters are always gonna hate but as long as you are happy man dont listen just live
It’s coming along together .....😂😂😂 sunny cracks me up
I'm amazed..wow..cant wait to see it once its 100percent done
I’d also hit it 2k, clear then 2k and 3k wet sand. Lastly compound. Recently did a diy paint with cans only
So Sonny is the Lambo your next project? I was in San Jose sometime back and caught myself looking around on the freeway for some cars. :D
When Sonny busts “yeeeeee!”
Am i the only one who heard that american muscle in the background and made their day.
Sonny you should repainted to that blue that was peeling it was actually a nice blue
G Kevo agreed bro that was a nice colour
Foam brush and paint in a can really spray can by the Box cheap and effective
@itssonny all three of y’all with s13’s should get them all paint matched
I seriously have to say that this came out WAAAAAAAAAY better than what I was expecting. Great job guys! Just wish it was a different color...:P
9:35 Yee Yee in background 😂 Son you have know idea how much I say this with my fam It’s a Yee Yee Lifestyle
Spray booth, buy two canapés, lay some tarps over the side and tape it shut. Spray booth that does not cost much. Works for us when we paint our cars
Hey bro what kinda advice you got for doing semi extensive body work on my 95 del sol? It's got hella rust lbvs
Loving it, it looks like Randy's car reincarnated. Do the headliner next to match.
Lol yo that scream when you noticed the paper has me dead
Wat do the jams look like?
Spray paint the trim in black, Glossy trim makes worlds of difference!
Ur accent got thicker...? Lol
Yeah way more slurred
The whole car is an important part of the car for me!!!! YEEEEE
Bruh, for the booth, you get the illiminate tent, get some tarp for like 2 dollars, tape it all the way down the sides, get a 20 dollar harbor freight spray gun (they’re actually mad good) and bam.
Actually, you can get some plastic from a Lowe’s outside the doors for free, just take a lot
you could buy a used spray gun for 20-30$. and you can ask around a body shop if they let you use their booth. some might let you use it for free while others might charge you 15-20$ to use one.
Did you use single stage pain ??
That grey front in the last videos thumbnail looked dope af!!!
That color looks so good!
Thanks for not laughing. I finally enjoyed watching your video😉
Color reminds me of a Laser pink cause it has a vibrant color!
yo you need to take it to randy after and get it POLISHED!!!! I've seen people polish there car even with no clear coat and it comes out so glossy
It looks a lot better bro!

Buy a paint spray gun is cheap at harbor freight tools and the best part is you can return it within 90 days no questions ask.
If I lived there that would be my favorite neighborhood
Looks Sick Mang!!!

Loving the paint
Where did you buy the acetone
It's looking nice. Keep doing your thing.....
I like the color... Your street looks like Flickenger
Put in the last layer flakes in it
Honestly wet sand and clear coat and that’ll look mint.
$100 paint job cause it's a lifestyle....
Looks really good man, reminds me of the cherry dilly pops from Dairy Queen tho. I like it
7:00 paint is cracking already
You should put a white banner on the windshield when its done ! Lifestyle in Japanese
