Haven't watched the video yet, but the matchup definitely seems lopsided. The only hope I can see for Nell is if Sensei runs out of time walking all his infantry.
It definitely was an uphill battle from the start, but the fact you got an airport and he didn't, there was a chance to turn the match in your favour. I think there were a couple of crucial turns in the middle there where small mistakes like not blocking his cities, and the likes, cost you. Even when clearly winning, he was really short on time, so had you gotten those crucial parts right I think he would have struggled a lot. Very interesting game and commentary!
It’s incredibly hard to close the property gap with Sensei when he’s ahead 2-4 bases. All his bases are defended by his power and with how close the properties are, the two or three infantry that spawn in can wipe out your capturing infantry. If you examine this map, almost every property on this map is next to others. Meaning Nell could never capture back anything considering how fast his meter charges if he just pops his power when you threaten a capture. When he got ahead in properties, Nell had no chance here.
Unironically you should have built Stealths (if allowed) and Black Boats to block passages and keep your Megatanks refilled. Since Sensei doesn't have any way to built Fighters and he's playing on increments, he can't properly bring any kind of counter to that part of the map until they start running out of fuel.

But I guess the airport is so far shoe thought it wasn't worth it About how mangs could win, about 10:00 he had a very good offence, and the mega tank strats were a good strategy in my opinion. So...I dunno. Maybe recon/aair spam would have paid off to spare high cost units from having to hit infantry, enabling building more high cost like more mega tanks, but I don't know if that would really work and in a live match, I imagine being hard to judge Great plays from both and excellent analysis
For clearing away fodder not on a city, tanks and recons are much better than Anti Airs. Sure 3 AAs can one shot 3 infantry if they all get the first strike. 3 Tanks and a Recon can cripple 4, which is usually a much better deal, especially if you're using your other funds to bolster the other fronts, like maybe building Neotanks instead of medium tanks. Unless you are like "I want that infantry dead _now_ not crippled" then this isn't a great use. AAs really shine when they are shooting... air units.

Also, recons are so fragile that they take damage back from regular infantry, and Sensei's infantries are monsters. Still, I'm just guessing, I haven't played with nor against Sensei to say for sure.
Is there any chance you could do anything to replace the white background with something a bit more off white or light grey (or whatever color you like). Maybe it's because there's more of it for this particular map's dimensions, but it felt a bit blinding this time. Still watching though cuz I love these commentary matches!
I haven't play awbw in a long while but I just got reminded by Manga that Eagle should get some adjustment with his timer so that he isn't punished for using his SCOP. Like a bonus two minutes for just that turn he pops it. Might even make him go up a tier in times games like this.
I think he shouldn't, for the same reason that Sonja does not get any buffs in Standard and Sasha is one of the worst COs in High Funds but an annoying pick in Std/Fog. Time is a resource, just like money and vision, some COs work best when you can plan the entire turn for them while other ones don't really need to think too much. What I like about the Live League is that it makes missile-COs (Rachel, Sturm and Von Bolt) much less viable even on maps where they've got the advantage, as well as nerfing those who benefit from clumping up their units like Eagle or Javier, because stalling the match is much harder to do when you have to take into account the smaller size of the map and the lack of time to play with the move planner. Additionally, according to trueboss and some anecdotal evidence, Eagle is broken in High Funds, so that sort of time bonus should not apply to him in that mode specifically.
I think he could've capped the harbor before going for the airport. If he could lock all the non-infantry to the right half and keep them there long enough to get copters out, then he could slowly cap the left side with recons blocking cities.

I don't think your odds of taking the North airport was that great, but I think you could have taken the base and been in contention to win without a turn limit. Maybe 1 bomber plus several battle coptors would be better than bomber spam? Would it be possible on turn 12 to start a formation with the Megatank on your base with 3 rockets just south of it and a tank east of it? Or maybe instead of the Medium Tank, make a rocket to send to the forest and then build a Neotank there? Also, not related to this map, but don't underestimate Nell Mechs in fog of war. They're slow and vulnerable to be taking out on the first strike, but if they strike first even on minimum rolls they deliver value. In contrast an unlucky infantry roll might mean a unit you really need to deliver chip damage doesn't do. If you watch a replay and notice a tank just sitting in a spot, a Mech probably could have done the same thing since they are just slow tanks. The "slow" part is why Mechs are generally not spammed since they often won't get the first strike without fog, unless your opponent is suicidally advancing their units into range of your base. Can we see more Re-Boot camp replays? I want to see some tower-less playthroughs.

The Sensei player was undoubtedly paying attention to his timer, and was probably ready to click End Turn whenever it started getting too low, even if he hadn't moved everything yet.

Nell is T1 in Live League (and Quack Cup) and other manually created games but Mangs say she's T2 after several testing with grandmaster ? What ? Did the testing have very unlucky hit or overkill / useless luck ?

Yeah Eagle in high funds is broken. He's already really dumb when he gets his SCOP, but in HF that happens far more frequently.
