1. Series 4
2. Series 9
3. Series 1
4. Series 3
5. Series 2
6. Series 5
7. Series 7
8. Series 10

10. Series 8
11. Series 11
12. Series 12
13. Series 13
I can't belive that Jodie's chance to be the doctor was ruined by how TERRIBLE the writing was, it's really unfair
Her acting wasn’t exactly the greatest either.
@@truegamingunited5535her acting was great imo
Exactly this!
She did so amazing as the doctor. It was the horrible storylines that she was given that was so very unfair.
Jodie is a VERY competent actor, it's just a shame she wasn't given the opportunity to actually show it because of the writing
I hate how the bad writing overshadows Jodie’s Doctor, but I still like her as a character, just not the majority of her terribly written stories, except a few.
Season 6 was legit the only season that took Time Travel to a cracked degree, explained why fixed points are a no-no and gave us more Alex Kingston, and you want to say it’s alright
I do like the whole overarching story with River (except for the Doctor actually being the Teselecta when killed), but a lot of the episodes inbetween the River episodes are just quite _meh_ personally
I loved the time travel shit
So many iconic moments too
Where can I watch it
Is it on Netflix
Where can I watch them all for free??
I feel so bad for Jodie, I feel like she would've been phenomenal if the writing were better. I really liked the parts where her version of the doctor got to shine but it was few and far between and buried in a lot of bad.
I didn’t watch jodie because I’m not tryna be sexist and I am a girl too but the reason is because it’s a women. It just doesn’t hit the same whatsoever
@@canternschl I don't agree, I genuinely liked Jodie's Doctor and would've loved to see more of her, just without Chibnall. I get not really vibing with a Doctor but for me, the Doctor being a woman, man, or enby doesn't change anything, as long as they still have similar character traits, they are the Doctor. But hey it's all good we all have our views of things and what we are comfortable with!
The Doctor isn’t a women. She can’t act and it cringe as fuck
@@canternschlit’s not because she’s a woman, it’s because Chris chibnall has the writing skills of a 4 year old ingrate
Jodie is also a phenomenal actor if the showrunner wasn't Chibnall then her focotr would've been 10 time better
Tennant era is truly GOAT
End of time is biggest piece of sh#t
@@iamsloss I loved end of time wut :o
Crazy part is I didn’t dislike Jodie as the doctor but whoever was in charge of the writing fucked up the whole thing with the doctors origin, like the first doctor isn’t even the first doctor it just didn’t make sense to fuck his origin like that
Precisely!
People like you crying over the Doctors origin never seen any classics and it shows 😂
Yea she herself did well and think would have really excelled with a better writing team. Series 11 was definitely the worst season by far. Didn’t help there was no arc at all and the finale felt like a weak mid season episode. There was no big moments.
What I find funny about the writing for Whitaker is that they desperately want her and market her to be this silly ditzy early tennant and smith like doctor Just being goofy and having fun. But they write her like a worse version of early capaldi, Eccleston and early Colin baker. As just generally mean spirited agressive and cruel. It makes no sense 🤣
Didn’t they also say the doctor isn’t even a time lord or something and that the doctor was actually found on the edge of space as a lost child?
Jodie got shafted by her writer so fucking hard. Imagine hearing that you got the role of doctor "marxism in practice" who, then having to read the script where you defend space amazon.
Matt smiths seasons were my favourite
Series 8 - 10 God tier, 8 & 9 in particular are amazing, Coleman and Capaldi are one of the best doctor companion duos we’ve ever had! Miss them so much 😭
Based. Based Capaldi enjoyer.
No joke, there will NEVER, be a better episode than Heaven Sent, purely in terms of capturing attention.
That episode is god tier and it's wholly due to Capaldi's skill.
@@Ixarus6713 So true, Heaven Sent is and will always be one of my favorite DW episodes
I love them 💗
It wasn't god tier at all. I think you can't see well
It wasn't god tier at all. I think you can't see well
Series 6 gave us "The Girl Who Waited","The Doctor's Wife.","A Good Man Goes To War." and the epic two-parter opening "Day of the Moon" and "The Impossible Astronaut." HOWEVER, "Closing Time.","The Curse of the Black Spot." and "The Rebel Flesh" two-parter was god awful. This makes this season ultimately "alright"
I thought god complex was pretty good too
@@premium6225 True
I liked curse of the black spot, it was a simple, silly adventure episode with a fun bit of supernatural curse mixed in with the sci-fi element, and pirates, but I can see how it wouldn’t be for everyone
I liked the rebel flesh two-parter. Very interesting concept. The execution missed the bullseye mark but still hit good imo.
Calling the Rebel Flesh bad is literal warcrime
Series 9 is one of the best seasons of TV I’ve ever seen, I didn’t appreciate it nearly enough when I saw it as a kid
My thoughts exactky
I wish I could see it like that lol. I rewatched the show recently and I found myself loving series 8 but not liking series 9. (With exception to heaven sent) The finale really ruined it for me.
What are you talking about? Season 9 is a snooze fest with a couple of acceptions granted but mostly boring af
@@samwarehamturner2685 As if, did we watch the same thing? It's literally one of the best.
@@MaccamatBux it's got some strong episode but also has multiple of the worst episodes in all of new who? I think it is the some of the highest peaks and lowest lows of one season
My Favorite was Season 1 staring with
Christopher Eccleston my favorite actor for Doctor Who...
Bro imagine if some liked the 13th doctor 💀💀💀😳😳💀💀💀💀
He was not a bad doctor at all and I loved his energy I wished he stayed long 😢
Too bad he only got one season
@@SomeGuyH3re Yh I miss bro
Series 10 is the GOAT, is perfect, is WHOOOOOOOOAAAAA
Series 10 is rubbish
Perfect
The Ninth Doctor was my favorite. I wish he had stayed more time
It breaks my heart because he doesn't see himself as the Doctor when he was fantastic.
Don’t say sorry to Chibnall, say sorry to Jodie for getting a crap showrunner
RTD era stays goated, hope we get more of that in the upcoming season 🙏🏼
Overrated asf imo
@@brobro9169You prefer classic?
The rtd era is consistent. Moffats era had the highest highs but the lowest lows. Chibnalls era, literally terrible nothing redeemable about that. And rtd2 so far is a politically driven pile of shit. Russell has lost it
@@splatinummI disagree, I think RTD'S era has the lowest lows (thanks mainly to Series 2). New Earth, Fear Her, Love and Monsters and Gridlock are snoozefests. Meanwhile, considering Moffat's era is longer, it only has In The Forest of the Night and Sleep No More. I think a better way to put it is Moffat's era has more mediocre episodes. Be it just meh all around (Dinosaurs on a Spaceship) or having half the episode be great and the other half be bad (Let's Kill Hitler, The Wedding of River Song, The Husbands of River Song, The Power of Three), Moffat's era had a few mediocre ones. While RTD's era really doesn't have any. If they don't miss, they tend to hit to some degree.
@@epiccarrot88 first off i wanna say what is wrong with gridlock? Sure it wasnt the best episode from series 3 but i still really liked it. I also wanna point out most of the mid episodes in the moffat era were written by someone else. I think davies just had a better writing team. And i also think davies actually wrote more stinkers than moffat.
Overall poor moffat needs more credit
4 is phenomenal. Almost every time I go back to rewatch the show I start there
Literally same, Donna is my all time fav companion and Tennant is one of the greatest Doctors
how dare you say season 6 is alright
lol yeah I love all the river song stuff
innit
The plot and finale was WAY WAY too up its own ass
This series is a funny one for me. I really like about half the episodes, but I'm not really fond of the other half. Curse of the Black Spot and Night Terrors especially are pretty weak.
Also, I have always felt that The Doctor actually not being killed because it was the Teselecta all along was a massive cop-out
@@AndyTheRoo it was so clever and complicated it was amazing
For me seasons 1-4 are so satisfying to rewatch. I’ve only watched the rest of the series once 😂
ME TOO i only rewatch the first 4 haha
They're easily the best haha (you gotta check out Torchwood and Sarah Jane if you haven't tho cuz they're both amazing, better than recent DW stuff by far)
Don't say sorry Chibnall when someone does dog shit work you're allowed to call it that especially if you somehow manage to mess up when you got nearly 60 years of work to use as reference
Apologize to the actors who worked their -sses off even with very very questionable writing.
@@Mayt5987 No one said anything about the actors but I'm gonna be honest I don't think Jodie was a good actress for the doctor and with that I mean the doctor gives this vibe like he owns the place all the time and with Jodi it never felt like that. It was almost like she was trying to copy what Tennant and Smith did but it never worked out
So true everthing in this comments
@@PitchSkullBlack bro is complaining about people being harassed while harassing other ppl 💀
Should say sorry Jodie she actually did pretty well with what she had to work with
By the end of Flux, I had no idea why anything was happening anymore.
The heaven sent sequence is the reason capaldi is our fav doctor
Season one is literally so good😢
Technically the reboot season one, looking at the ends and middle of the previous doctors in the last series some of the characters are great, fit with the reboot pretty well, can't say they're all good but generally the original formula with the actors works well (not the timeless child plot, that's an entire new formula for what the doctor is supposed to be)
Jodie Whittaker deserved better.
Yup she was amazing at acting but the script was awful
Bruh, I hate how they nerf the writing for the thirteen doctor. Jodie is such a good actress 🥲
I definitely feel like she kinda seemed like she became dumber… she has to screw driver every person she meets, the old doctors knew a person when they seen one, but 13th basically scanned everyone as if she didn’t believe anyone was real (not blaming Jodie, I’m just agreeing that the writing didn’t do her good)
Capaldi first season was a let down tho.
But man put his last two season to become Classics.
Personally I’d go:
Series 1: Yeah, baby!
Series 2: I mean, it’s alright
Series 3: Yeah, baby!
Series 4: It was perfect
Series 5: That’s right, it’s the GOAT!
Series 6: I mean, it’s alright
Series 7: It’s the biggest piece of s#it
Series 8: Yeah, baby!
Series 9: Yeah, baby!
Series 10: It was perfect
Haven’t seen the Chibnall seasons, so I don’t know how I’d feel about them
Thirteen would've been stellar if we had a better writer.
Series 10 deserves more appreciation
100%
Agreed 👍🏻 it's the best ever one in my opinion
I agree with all of these rankings
Agree with you on them i hope series 14 and beyond are the GOAT!
series 14 will be renewed to series 1
@@User4739 yee new era very cool indeed!
@@gerrardjones28 new era of Doctor Who!
Bet yall are disappointing lmao
@@AdderallFiend Not really at all tbh, church on Ruby Road and space babies were alright, kinda mid but Devils Chord was brilliant, made me really excited for the future of the series!
I think we needed more 9th doctor seasons
Any season with David Tennant is my favourite
Don't worry the new Doctor is going to redeem Jodi by digging down even deeper.
Lol
Even worse writing than Jodie😂
RTD and Gawta now continuing the streak of, "It's the biggest piece of dog shit."
Ehhh, I’d say it’s probably closer to alright. There’s a noticeable quality increase from series 11,12 and 13
@@drpepsi7544 Disagree. I think it's even worse.
Series 5,6 and 7 were my childhood bro
the first doctor hated being him so much that he was killed off early.
I'm sorry okay but jodi was fucking amazing in doctor who. I don't care if the writing was bad she did it justice. I love her so much
No. She's a good actress, yes. But that writing fucked her whole run. Timeless Child should never have been written. Fucked the 1st Doctor's origin completely.
I loved how pretty much everyone in the fandom agrees that series 9 is amongst the greats. It's also the series where I first watched Dr Who seriously. When I became aware of Dr Who and became a fan, series 8 has ended and the series 9 trailer has just dropped. I was like; "that's banger, Imma watched that."
1 is the best imo
I 99% completely agree but I disagree by 1% Jodie’s era wasn’t 100% garbage I’d say 50% garbage 50% decent some episodes were rubbish some episodes were really good in my opinion but great video 👍
flux was really good for me.
I love Jody, she did great with what she got
Jodie has a few episodes that are really good. The tesla episode, the punjab episode, and the fugitive doctor episode were all very good
The fugitive doctor was awful. That was when they retconned the entire show.
@@sopronunciareglignocchi7255They've done that plenty of times, I agree it is a weird retcon, and could have definitely been handled much better, but retconning is common in DW
@@purp4168
It's not common at all. They may add details here and there but they've never undermined the origins and history of the show.
Twelfth is my favourite doctor. Anytime someone asks me why, i just have to show them Heaven Sent
Series 6 was perfect
Spectacular! I'll need an update after the next season :)
Eh flux kinda underrated
Wasn’t dog shit just okay
Probably one of the most accurate rankings I ever seen
Eh, Flux was actually pretty good.
Nah Matt smith first season is perfect and the goat
I am guessing this is in terms of writing because Jodie was amazing it was just the writer that ruined her arc if she had writers on the level of Russel or Steven it would have been amazing
Honestly, I feel like people give Jodie whisker a bit too much hate. She’s a good doctor wouldn’t say the best but I feel like it’s just a bit too much hate
For me Season 10 is the best but Capaldi is my favourite and I felt Season 10 was the season where the Doc seemed the most fulfilled of all the doctors cause he just spend 24 years with his wife
Season 8 is very good, in fact, it is very underrated, for me it is very good and has a better tone than the previous seasons.
Not you giving series 7 the cheer LMAO
It’s not like Jodie did a terrible job being the doctor, she actually did a really great job. It’s the writing that turned the fans off.
I feel like a ranking of NuWho storylines would be more distributed. For example, S6 had absolute masterpieces such as Rebel Flesh/Almost People and The Girl Who Waited, but also absolute pieces of shite, like Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.
Tbf Dinosaurs on a Spaceship is Series 7, not 6
Where can I watch them all for free??
@@indyOfficials well, at least where I live, seasons 1-10 of modern who are currently out on Prime video
Fr, I mean series 7 but Dinosaurs was the first episode I ever saw and it really put me off for a while, I decided to give it another chance when i saw some of the 12th doctor episodes
Dinosaurs is literally s7 dipshit
3rd season had all the perfect elements imo except the lack of acknowledgement and appreciation for Martha Jones by the doctor.
I just wanted to see more of her
I agree with you except series 7 and 8 are just okay
@@Cringeharvester Mummy on the Orient Express is the other great one
And flatline was great too
Series 7 is just bad. The VFX was good though
My feelings on series 7 and 8 are very mixed. On one hand, it has angels take manhattan, time of the doctor, name of the doctor, asylum of the daleks, deep breath, into the dalek, flatline, mummy on orient express, listen. All bangers but also has some really forgettable ones.
I don’t get why people hate all of chibnall’s writing it was actually good
Series 5 was my childhood
This is why you should have GREAT writers as a must in your production.
i completely agree except season 6
I don't watch them after seven. My favorit was the first 3 series.

ruclips.net/video/6pR4pAEEQ-o/видео.html
A complete and thorough ranking of every Doctor Who (2005-2023) series from worst to best. This was a project that took 14 months (yep, I'm serious) to finally complete, rewatching the entire show and rating every episode out of 10, so it was a very fresh and (relatively) unbiased rating for each individual episode to give an overall average rating for each series. Hope you enjoy/enjoyed :)

I guess I'm the only one who liked Jodie's doctor.
Yes you are
@@asdfghjklqwerization I loved her doctor and her way of acting as the doctor but the lines and plots that chibnall gave were horrendous, so yeah I like her doctor just not the stories that were written around her doctor.
Liking her Doctor, or liking her episodes is a big difference. For the most part, I'm not a fan of a lot of her stories, but especially come series 13, I _really_ do like her as The Doctor
@@AndyTheRooshe’s got the acting down, but her character writing is so weird. They went balls to the wall with the goofy side of the doctor, but they only had like 5 scenes of her being serious
@@Crustyfart123 Really awful writing and characterisation. I only warmed to her on rewatch this year, but she's still miles behind all other 'new Who' Doctors (even 15 from 1.25 episodes, lol)
don't apologise to chinball
Ngl after Peter capaldi left the show went downhill as we all know… petition to bring capaldi back as a COMPANION for maybe 1 season
Btw this would be like both him and whoever the current doctor is meet and capaldi’s doctor goes on a few trips with the current doctor and boom there is a perfect season
For me, Jodie’s series is this: I mean it's alright, that’s pretty good, and nice. Honestly, I thought she was brilliant as her performance improved through The Timeless Children arc kind of ruins the backstory of the First Doctor.
Season 6 was probably the peak of the show tbh with you
Fair ranking honestly
Agree on S6! The opening story is easily the best of all thirteen series IMO and there's a handful of other good episodes, but while I enjoyed the heavy story arc at first it just ended up being a convoluted, nonsensical mess. Both S5 and S7 were much better (again only IMO)
Not often you have a 100% agreeance on others opinions, but this is definitely one of them.
I absolutely love Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon. One of my favourite 2-parters
@@AndyTheRooi love impossible astronaut but day of the moon was kinda cringe. The silence got done so dirty
Season 2 is literally the best and its unmatched in my opinion, Rose and the tenth doctor FOREVER 😢😢
I was waiting for your opinions on the 13th Doctor’s series… let’s just say I think almost everyone agrees 😂 no offense to Jodie or Chris of course.
No offence to Jodie. All offence to Chris
Offense to both.
No. Big offence to Chibbers. I feel bad for Jodie
@@AndyTheRoo Jodie started off her tenure by saying that, before her, the show was a ‘celebration of the white male gaze’…. despite her having never watched the show. Jodie can choke.
Chris messed with too much too quickly and Jodie did her absolute best
idk, I love doctor who since i remember watching tv. Im watching s12 right now for the first time and Im loving it, by far. Jodie seems to have a huge fear for loosing everything as she did before so she is making wrong decisions here and there... I just found out The Master destroyed Gallifrey... Well, she lost something so important, again. I love this hahaha
I thought people hated series 9 😂😂
Bruh Season 9 is my fave of the entire series XD
S9 is one of THE BEST in all of Doctor Who, period.
Series 9 had quite a few forgettable and average episodes but then a few really good ones so idk it’s a bit more mixed for me. Season 10 was more consistently good imo
❤PeterCapaldi
@@doofusboy7054 Honestly my opinion is the exact opposite. I think that Season 9 is perhaps the most consistently good season of the entire series, with the only real miss being Sleep No More (and even then, I think it's an over-hated episode). The season contained several bangers (Zygon Inversion, Heaven Sent/Hell Bent) that are supplemented by a handful of other pretty solid episodes (the premiere with Davros, Under the Lake/Before the Flood, The Girl Who Died). (I know a lot of people were very disappointed by Hell Bent, but I still think its a borderline masterpiece of an episode).
Season 10, however, is almost entirely saved by the finale and the dynamic between the Doctor and Bill. World Enough and Time and The Doctor Falls is one of my favorite two-parters of the series, and Extremis and The Pyramid at the End of the World are also highlights, but the entire rest of the season ranges from okay at best to pretty weak/forgettable at worst.
But hey, one of the things I love about Doctor Who is how varied the show is, such that practically every season has the potential to be a lot of people's favorite.
I didn't like Series 6's overall arc, but it is stacked with amazing episodes - Christmas Carol, the Silence two-parter, The Doctor's Wife, A Good Man Goes to War, The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex, all spectacular episodes!
David Tennant should be gambit, I think he would be really good
It depends if he can pull off a good Cajun accent and mannerism without sounding too forced.
@@StrikeRaptor1000 I didn’t think of the accent part hope he would be able to pull one off
Season 6 is my favorite. This was the season the Doctor became the closest to the Master without him being there.
Gonna be completely honest, I stopped watching the most recent series of Jodie Whittaker because it was so terrible.
Recommend you just watch last ep and get ready for ncuti
And tennant as the 14th doc
Trailers look crazy good:]
Like the other reply says, just watch her finale: 'Power of the Doctor' before watching the 60th anniversary. Out of all her episodes it might be the most enjoyable and I feel like some themes will be carried over into the 60th which you might not understand
@@AndyTheRooWatch "Fugitive of the Judoon"
Honestly as a woman I was SO disappointed with Jodie’s run. She would’ve been a brilliant doctor if it wasnot for the directors and episode writers
S6 deserves so much more than "alright" and "overrated".
Nah its shit, and so is season 5 and 7
No need to apologize. Jodie’s take on the doctor was the worst thing the show has ever experienced
Series 1 is the best series then its close between 2 and 3 but matt smiths three seasons all beat season 4 for me
Amy Pond greatest assistant change my mind. Close 2nd was Jenna Coleman
Sorry but you no are fan, season 6?? Really IS the BEST season in Doctor Who
The Tennant era is my GOAT
Can't agree with the 11-13, I mean it's not as great as for example series 7, becouse the writers changed and stuff, but it's still okay to watch In my opinion =>
Opinions are very subjective, and yeah I'm not a massive fan of series 11-13.
Saying that though, I am currently rewatching Jodie's era and just finished series 11. It is a lot better than I remember and I liked about half the episodes, but there were some really weak ones in there. I'm looking forward to seeing what series 12 & 13 are like on rewatch
We almost have the exact same opinion but I would give capaldis first series a WOOOOOOOOOOOO!
flux wasn't that bad
It literally made no sense whatsoever and resolved terribly. The entire series hinged on whether or not it would stick the landing and it just simply didn’t. This is coming from someone who’s watched it 3 times through.
It wasn't bad........ until the last episode which was a complete mess. "Biggest piece of dogshit" might be an exaggeration and I'm gonna rewatch flux before the 60th to give it a second chance like I have with series 11 and 12 over the recent weeks
Apologise for the series 8 slander
Nah Capaldi’s last season was garbage cause of Bill and crap writing
What's wrong with Bill?
Every Doctor last for 3 seasons but Christopher only last for one season 😢😢😢😢
