Sharon, even though I have been to the Caribbean many, many times I really enjoy watching your tips for the islands and for pre-cruise hotels. I like to try different things and your videos really do help me plan my island days. My favourite beach in St. Maarten is still Mullet’s Bay although you have to leave early to make sure you get back to the ship on time because traffic back to the port is very busy.
Thanks for the tips. I found very low fares/rates for next month, so booked 4 nights and know very little about the island. Tips where you showed the actual places really help. Will look into Splash in the Sun as well as some of the snorkeling trips.
Splash in the sun ATV tour was by far the best excursion we’ve ever done in all of our travels. From the breathtaking views, to experiencing the gorgeous hidden gem beaches, to the off road trails, all led by our super friendly tour guide Taz, I can’t speak more highly about it! We even got a ride there and back from the owner Sherry. The prices are very reasonable for what you get! I’d highly recommend the 6 hour tour. Fun fun fun!!
In the shopping district near the boardwalk, there is a museum with lots of movie memorabilia, mostly Star Wars. It is called The Yoda Guy, as the man was one of the creators of the Yoda puppet in Star Wars. If anyone is a nerd like me, you might enjoy it.
@@tumama030 unfortunately I had to cancel the trip because of Covid-19 and the traveling restrictions here in Canada, but hopefully I go next year when things are back to normal.
Very nice video. I wonder if you have ever been to St Martin though? Or have you only travel there on a cruise ship? It is a much different island after sunset.. So much more to do and see. Very safe to move about. You must come to the island and stay a week or so. You would have to cruise there 100 times to see everything, and even after all that you still wouldn't experience any of the nightlife. St Martin is like my second home. :-)
@@karenexama177 Far better to rent a car and explore. You may get lost but you will never drive off St Martin. It only takes about an hour to drive around the whole island if you're not stopping. When I visit I usually rent a car for part of the vacation and then bus around the rest of the time. Taxis can get expensive..
My wife and I will be staying at Secrets St Martin in May 2020, I understand the grand opening will be in Feb 2020. Do you know anything about this new resort?????
We are booked on 'Bernard's Tours Maho Beach Blast' however it doesn't include lunch or gratuities. Have you heard anything 'pro or con' about this company? I have until the 23rd of April to cancel for free and book something else.

Sint Maarten is cut in half. Half is dutch (st.maarten) the other half is french (saint Martin)

We have been a few times by cruise. It is on our list of places to take a land vacation. One of our favorite islands..

A couple great beaches are Mullet Bay Beach and Little Bay Beach for snorkeling.

We have never used them, but if it has good reviews on trip advisor then it should be good.
We used this company and really enjoyed our tour with them!

How far is it from where the planes fly over the beach to where the cruise ship is? We went to Orient beach if I remember right.
