Howard wasn't lying when he said in this interview that he likes to sing songs that meaning or that say something. The album that he was promoting in this video, 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐭𝐭 (1990), has some serious lyrics attached to it. Most of the songs on that album are love ballads and they truly spoke of who Howard Hewett was as a singer in the late 1980s and early 1990s. That album wasn't no pop album or house music album, it was truly a Howard Hewett album.
