      MVDP is currently nr 235 and Contador is nr 18 of all time.

      It really says something about the nature of racing in the past 20 years, that except for Valverde, the top of the list hasn’t changed. The current era of “specialization” means we may never again see a rider as prominent as Kelly, Hinault et. al.!

    First is a doper. Second might be, he was a boxer after all. Third is a doper. Binda might be a doper, he was in the era of no accountability. Gira...what? Rick van loy, rode in the doping era. No idea if he did or did not. With that many victories under your belt, almost 400, there is suspicion.
    The rest, magni, gimondi, koblet, leducq - the sprinter, also most likely doped. Bobet is suspect since he won the tour de france and as somebody more famous than myself once said: "You dont win the tour de france on mineral water!"
