I have owned every major brand of trumpet, my new Carol Brass Andrea Giuffredi Model out plays them all. The scale is even and intonation is superb. I would encourage any trumpet player to try this horn before you lay down your hard earned money. The balance between flexibility and slotting is incredible! Carol Brass and Andrea have knocked it out of the park with this horn! 🎺👍
Totally agree, I got myself a custom Carol Brass trumpet and I love it!! A guy contacted Carol Brass and gave them the instructions to make a trumpet which he then couldn’t play, so he brought it to a music shop where I picked it up 😅 Mariachi-style big bell, silver plated with some gold parts…not only does it play amazing, it looks amazing as well!
You can make any horn sound good, but man! This horn has character. Yes, it's bright, but it's a brightness with ring to it! I LOVE how you sound on this one.
@@HornTrader Sure sounds like CarolBrass has a real winner on its hands! Unfortunately I promised my wife, "no more horns," after going through a bunch some years ago. So, I can only admire these wonderful horns from the sidelines. But, I still own my 1964 Connstellation 38B, which I still love to play to this very day! Have a great weekend, Steve, and stay well!
I played the lacquer version yesterday at ITG. I'm seeing one in my future! One of two horns I played yesterday that stands out and the other one costs $1000 more, so guess which one I'm getting!
Andrea plays the hell out of that thing over on his RUclips channel. The sound is super fat. Nice playing Steve, please record more stuff. I always like watching you play cool horns.
Hi Steve, very interesting test and great playing! How does this Carol Brass Giuffredi trumpet compare to the Adams A10 or Kanstul 1537 trumpet in terms of sound/performance? Thank you!
Just ordered this in gold lacquer but there's 2-3 month wait. Didn't know it has reverse lead pipe, haven't seen that in any descriptions. Sounds a little brighter than the lacquer Andrea usually plays but could be a different way of playing. Do you like the Amado water keys? Thanks for the review.
Dear Steve!I'm going to buy mouthpiece Classical HT 3C-28.This a mouthpiece is weight between Bach Megatone and Bach ordinari. How stable is the upper register and how strong is the resistance?Thank you very much.
Horntrader would you consider this trumpet a horn versatile enough to play in both a big band lead and brass quintet or mostly a jazz small group and brass quintet and not lead versatility.
I would consider this a very all round trumpet maybe get the silver plate if you wanted to play more lead and have just a tad more edge but the tone of this horn is beautiful
Steve the pressure blaring player. I think AG sounds better on Yamaha, but everyone has an opinion I guess, so subjective. Steve you need a bigger mouthpiece, deeper.
The C# and D were flat, even the open D was flat. Come on people, get a REAL horn, stick with the tried and true names, like Schilke, Bach, Calicchio, Getzen, Benge, Vintage Kings, Stomvi, Yamaha, etc. CarolBrass are cheap knock-offs built in sweat shops.
Hi Art, I’m not hearing what you are. The horn has really good intonation throughout the complete register of the horn. You sound angry. Circle backing a month and tell me what you’re hearing. All the best, Steve

Your playing is magical Steve!
Thank You Adam............... warming up right now at this moment feels less than magic. Steady as she goes. Best, Steve
I'm surprised there isn't more publicity about this horn! Thanks for your review.
I was very impressed with this horn. I just ordered another one in silver and have lacquer one coming in this week.
Best,
Steve
@@HornTrader it seems like Giufreddi got a good horn?
@@edstud1 I think so..... especially the Silver finish
Steve killin' it on the new CarolBrass Andrea Giuffredi signature model ... Sounding great as always, Steve!
Thanks for the kind words……. I want to take this horn to my theatre gig. The video doesn’t give the tone in person justice.

Intriguing components.
72 light weight bell with 5 1/4 flair. The valve block is copper plated. Really give the horn a beautiful tone.
You can even sounds a YingYangYung like a Bach :) ...anyway, that Taiwan brand is a player in the brass world
Steve, how does the Getzen Eterna Deluxe, 900 or 907, compare to this AG? Thanks.

How open is the blow? Is there another brand and model that it's similar to? Thanks.
It feels close to a Bach 72 lightweight. maybe a tad more open because of the wide 5 1/4 inch bell flair.
Best,
Steve
@@HornTrader Thanks!!
What mouthpiece is that?
How does this compare to the 7660L or 6580H?
Hi Michael I sent you an email best, Steve
What is the bore?
The Bore is .460
Can’t hear you Sir
Sorry about that Paul. The Speech sometimes cuts out a bit when the trumpet is played
This horn sounds too bright for my taste. Even for lead trumpet
