Lucy, BRILLIANT interview! 😀Anisha is wonderful, and Lucy your interview skills are still great! Just like yourself in the shops and the spa...it's nice to have someone who is (or has-recently-been) working on-board to give their first-hand impressions and advice! [Improve English language skills and get customer service experience, are always good tips!] It's also great that you got her to explain not just what she does and what privileges she has on-board, but also loved that Anisha gave such a great way of coping with stress (that doesn't involve alcohol), this will be helpful to many viewers. Lucy, hoping you get out and adventure. Fair winds sweetie! {btw, you should edit your description to show Anisha working in "guest" services rather than "gas" services...ha ha} P.S. You audio is loud & clear, from both right and left channels! 😀Woo woo!
Great choice Lucy! Just guessing, but it seems like getting to know who to contact to fix each problem and the process to get them to do it would be the biggest challenge. Multi-tasking, turnover/documentation for the rest of the team, and being able to provide a time estimate for when the problem will be corrected are probably the other skill set to master. I would like to hear a bit more about what the internal work she mentioned covers.
It's a Port Day today in my ship Just finished breakfast shift I'm in my cabin munching on croissants & cashew nut with sleepy eyes but in the next 20 minutes I'd be participating in Crew Drill 😅😅😅😅
Hari, ALL ships crew / international mariners (anyone that works on a ship in international waters and/or making international voyages) must hold an STCW certificate, which of course includes basic fire-fighting, first aid, CPR, survival training, etc. etc....(and all ships have many AED's so as to not need to wait for the doctor to arrive). So the answer to your second question is Yes. As for a passenger having a DNR (you will not get hired as crew with a DNR), I suppose each cruise line, each ship's master (captain) and each ship's doctor would have their own policy and procedures, but to be clear I would absolutely present your DNR to both the ship's doctor and the ship's master, immediately upon boarding (they may even politely refuse you boarding/passage, depending on your medical diagnosis and their policies) I hope this helps? {FYI, my Mom lived another 6+ YEARS after signing her DNR, so I do understand..}
You should get yourself a nice exit graphic, maybe with a little unlicensed music. Your exits are always so abrupt. One second we're having fun watching you then you suddenly say good-bye and the video ends. 😆 A little cool-down at the end would be appreciated.
Lucy you are such a star!😭❤️ I have an interview for guest services in a few days and this was very insightful!🥹 Is Anisha comfortable with sharing her socials? I just have a couple of questions for her that were not covered in the video. Thank you!🇿🇦
Congrats and wishing you good luck! 😀Fyi, Lucy has commented previously that if you're doing the interview on-line/zoom, etc. make sure you are in a nice quiet, orderly, and clean environment ---- so that the interviewer can see that you are serious and professional (don't try to do a zoom interview from your phone walking in the street, nor in a busy cafe, etc.) Even if you need to sit in a closet/wardrobe, etc. to have a quiet place, be sure to look at your background, too! 😀Also, don't emphasize your "desire to travel", but rather try to casually mention your desire to take care of the guests while getting experience to move-up with the company....it's tough to make this casual and sound sincere, and not some line of BS....but, just don't gush over a desire to travel, because that is what EVERYONE wants --- you want to stand out as more serious about work. 😀 Fair winds and good luck!
@@captainjohn49 Hello 🤗 thank you so much for your words of encouragement and the much needed advice! Yes, my interview is online so I'll definitely make sure that my background is clear and the environment is quiet. I just hope I don't panic and freeze 🤦🏾♀️ I'll come back to this video/comment with an update, hopefully it'll be good news I'm sharing with you all 😅 Take care 🌸
@@sphumiemnguni8342good luck dear. If you don't mind, which company did you apply for? I'm still contemplating on applying for the same position as i have lots of experience but just worried about the other languages
@@St-jaja Thank you! I applied online to Royal Caribbean, the wait was lengthy so the sooner you apply the better. So while you're waiting for responses, you can brush up on your language/s 😊
@@sphumiemnguni8342 awesome. How long did you wait? I'm also looking into applying for the same. Great to note that someone just like me was offered an interview. It's actually motivating and i am hoping to get interview tips from you 🙂
Really enjoyed this one, Lucy - more interviews please!
Thanks babe. 🥰

Great talk/interview. And I have to say you have very lovely eyes.
Another eye opening interaction, thank you Lucy. Please please please do make one video with a barista, for an aspiring barista.
Hey, thank you. I willt try and find someone to interview with that job! X

This brings up a couple of questions. If a person has a DNR, would they want to present a copy upon boarding>? Also, are most crew certified in CPR?
