I think that could make a Kingdom Come movie in the actual days, but with the main difference that talk about how superheroes became more celebrity’s than hero’s and also that have a fake moral rather that the 90s anti-hero tropes.

Personally A kingdom come universe would fit today rather than most dc stories, its also has an ending compared to the never ending versions of other stories. What they could do is heroes become ambassadors and political figures other than celebrities.
So basically The Boys but instead of The Boys its Batman (Michael Keaton), Superman (Tom Welding or Brandon Routh) and an Old Generation of Superheroes (probably with a ton of Cameos from Older DC Movies and TV Shows for example Michelle Pfiher as Catwoman, Jim Carrey as Riddler, Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor ect) Vs basically Vaught.

I really like how most of the sidekicks took up their mentor’s mantle in this story. Probably my favorite future for the DC universe. They introduced a lot of cool characters too
I always loved the design of the old Superman from Earth-22. That black S logo is an AWESOME homage to the Fleischer cartoons of the 40s
this seems like the perfect story to adapt as an absolute end, maybe one day far far FAR into the future we'll get there with the DCU but right now it's just fun to imagine how epic a Kingdom Come movie would be

Easily best work by Waid. Some of Waids work I hate, like how he had Victor Von Doom wear a skin suit made from Valeria, I’ll never forgive that affront. Kingdom Come is a classic, I wish Alex Ross could have done more then just the covers for Marvel’s Earth X as I really liked that series.

For those of us who bought this as it came out, wow. It was awesome to see that kind of story and AR’s paintings. I had been collecting since the 70’s and was super excited when each issue came out.

In the Batman Superman World's finest, they showed the origins of the Kingdom come universe, when Batman and Superman of earth 1 were sent to Earth 22 to save Thunder Boy who allied with Gog and manipulated the other super heroes to believe they were evil. At the end of that saga Magog redeems himself and leads the new generation of superheroes.
Lifted my "Kabuki Kommando" RUclips handle and avatar after this mini-series. I thought it was just the koolest thing I'd ever seen and I still do. Also, seeing as manga is so popular these days, the Kabuki Kommando was tapping into manga AND American comics to brilliant effect. The Jack Kirby/Fourth World angle was the cherry on top, of course. 👺✨🗡👺

What happened to the Green Lantern Corp in Kingdom Come?
I'm actually planning to redo this vid as I am recently discovering more info about Kingdom Come.
Id like to know what happened to the other Green Lanterns. Hal Jordan, Guy and the others. seems like the only one left is Alan Scott.
Well, in Action Figures I have designated the Kingdom Come style Earth as Earth 6. I have built 10 different Earth's, 6 of them are DC. I don't have enough Kingdom Come Figures so I put the ones I had, along with any Futuristic looking DC Figures. For example, Hunter Superman, Dick Greyson Batman working with Terry McInnis Batman Beyond, and Tim Drake Red Robin. I use the Red Son Hal Jordan as Green Lantern, Daughter of Steel, I have Blue Lantern Flash and I say that Barry Allen changed his name to Blue Bolt! I do have the Kingdom Come Wonder Woman, Jade, and daughter of Starfire. Basically I use whatever Futuristic looking Figures I can. For Villains, Devastator as the Kingdom Come Doomsday, Gorilla Grodd, Lex Luthor in Green Battlesuit, Indigo, and others. So I do the best I can to make a Earth 6: Kingdom Come style Earth.
