Thank you once again! This song is one that Dimash sings a lot. He and his Dad wrote it in his teens and when he sings it at concerts, everyone sings along with him. This particular performance is the only one where he does the D8. He said that he did it on the spur of the moment and did not plan to do it. :D He's done other incredibly high notes, but this is the highest that we know of to date. He also sings that high note in his performance with Li Yugang of Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance. Li Yugang is well known in China as a classical Chinese opera singer, where men sing the female parts as well as the male parts. He has a very different style of singing. The performance is a kind of a East meets West sort of thing. I find the two singers' body language very interesting in this one. Li Yugang moves with very formalized gestures and poses, while Dimash's hand gestures look rather as if he is conducting himself.

Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. Incidentally, Dimash himself said that this was not actually intended. He probably wanted to sing his "normal" G#7, but when he did, no sound came out of his throat. When he started again, the C8 came and then the D8. A 5 second accident with vibrato😂. Only Dimash can do this. And then he continues as nothing has happened. Yes, but only the first two have pure tone, the latter works with fry. And in both "El Amort en tí" and "Olimpico" the lowest note is "only" a G2. Also, I must admit I prefer Dimash really singing the low notes, while in "Love is Like a Dream" they are more spoken than sung.

Gakku festival was attended by an audience of 150,000 people in Kazakstan and if you notice Dimash fans from China (and likely Russia, etc.) flew in to see him. Dimash's performance was at the very end of the all day concert by many performers. The crowd waited all day for his 5 songs to close the concert (the entire concert is on the Gakku RUclips channel). Unforgettable Day was one of the five. Reminds me of the Emmei festival in China where fans waited in the rain and had waited for 10 hrs to see him close the concert. Dimash stood in the rain and sang using a track due to the pouring rain until they literally had to make him quit due to the heavy rain and likely lightening. I love your analysis, guys. I would add that Dimash has utter respect for every song, the people who stand behind it and the idea it delivers. He's a storyteller, a Stanislavsky actor who lives out every song, every note, every sound. He respects his past, his family, his teachers, his friends and his country! And he's humble about what he's doing. Before everything else he's a wonderful human being and it shows in his art. As for restraint - one of my favorites is Love is Like a Dream - that's his lower range for a more pop sound. Another showcase of lower range is Olimpico for more operatic tone - no restraint there though. I would recommend Omir, one of his latest songs where he wrote both music and lyrics and stays mostly within that lower range. Unfortunately there's no live performance yet but there's no huge storyline to the music video either. It's an autobiographical work picturing Dimash's journey so far and is his love song to life.
He wrote this song when he was 16 years old. That D8 (Re8) was not planned. He did a lower note a few seconds before (when he shaked the mic) but didn´t sound due to a malfunction; so, at the sprur of the moment he tried higher not and it just it all went right, it Just was ment to be.

Hi guys! I was there!🔥🔥🔥 150,000 spectators on the Old Square of Almaty waited for Dimash's performance for several hours. He came out last and sang 4 or 5 songs. It was September 2019, and it was an UNFORGETTABLE DAY for all of us. With love from Almaty, Kazakhstan ❤
If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (which he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". Here, singing on an open stage and with some discomfort in the return (we can see it several times by adjusting the headphones) we realize, in this specific part of the song, that he is going to do something and, not being able to do what he would like (Perhaps the interference of the audience or the inaccurate response of the sound, a fact that impaired his concentration), he then issued this wonderful and historic C#8 modulated to D8, with vibrato! In a more technical analysis, we can see that the notes sound dissonant, as they do not belong to the harmonic field of the tonality of the music. Still, it's a demo of technique! He must have instantly thought, "Since I couldn't do what I wanted, I'll improvise!" So he emitted the inconceivable, supernatural D8 (4698.64 Hz)! Of course, this is a joke to me, but it makes one wonder: What is Dimash's limit?

From my prospective, the most interesting songs are: "El Amor En Ti" (great show, modern opera + funk), "Ikanaide" (vocal perfection), and "Know" from "New Wave 2019" event
I think Olympico gives a good showing of his lower range, although I'm pretty sure it's not his lowest. I think that was in Stranger. The performance is also straight classical. His execution was, as always, flawless.

Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. Incidentally, Dimash himself said that this was not actually intended. He probably wanted to sing his "normal" G#7, but when he did, no sound came out of his throat. When he started again, the C8 came and then the D8.
A 5 second accident with vibrato😂. Only Dimash can do this. And then he continues as nothing has happened.
Some joke that he actually sang a higher note, but realized that we earthlings can’t hear notes that high, so he “only” sang the D8😉.

Yes, but only the first two have pure tone, the latter works with fry. And in both "El Amort en tí" and "Olimpico" the lowest note is "only" a G2. Also, I must admit I prefer Dimash really singing the low notes, while in "Love is Like a Dream" they are more spoken than sung.

Gakku festival was attended by an audience of 150,000 people in Kazakstan and if you notice Dimash fans from China (and likely Russia, etc.) flew in to see him. Dimash's performance was at the very end of the all day concert by many performers. The crowd waited all day for his 5 songs to close the concert (the entire concert is on the Gakku RUclips channel). Unforgettable Day was one of the five. Reminds me of the Emmei festival in China where fans waited in the rain and had waited for 10 hrs to see him close the concert. Dimash stood in the rain and sang using a track due to the pouring rain until they literally had to make him quit due to the heavy rain and likely lightening.

Olimpico (Italian classical genre written for Dimash by Igor Krutoy to sing in the opening of the European Olimpic games in 2019) Love the New York performance but the one the Dears always promote is the Arnau Kinetic Voice performance in 2019 in Astana Kazakhstan. It's on Igor's channel or you can find it in the concert video for Arnau Kinetc Voice on Dimash's channel. Over 40,000 people attended from over 43 countries.
El Amor En Ti (Spanish composed by Dimash for his Latin fans) absolutely fabulous neo-classical style with pop notes. Performed at the Almaty Kazakhstan "Stranger" concert in Sept 2022. Over 30,000 attended the Almaty concert from 68 countries. (People stacked up outside the stadium all around the fence to hear and perhaps get a glimpse of the performance from the sidewalk because they ran out of tickets.) On Dimash's channel. (Center screen was 70 ft tall, the two side screens were 50 ft tall with two life sized holograms on each end of the stage. Spectacular concert with full live band and orchestra.)

Love of Tired Swans (Russian) Igor Krutoy composition revised by Dimash and Igor for Dimash's voice has a long stretch in his lower register and is a huge fan favorite. Won Dimash the Pesnya Goda 2018 Award in Russia in 2018.

Dimash is still shocking us with new artistic performances in China over the last month. Wow. Just when you think he cannot keep surprising us, he does it every time. You might check out his new song/duet, Join Hands, with Wei Wei at the Golden Panda Awards (Mandarin new theme song for the awards show), Durdarai (Kazakh folk song) reimagined by Dimash, both on his channel. Eternal Memories from the movie Battle of Memories, (Mandarin) new version performed at the 2023 Music Gala in Macau is absolutely stunning. Dimash sings this 2017 Chinese movie theme hit single at every one of his concerts but this version is especially spectacular.

This IS stunningly beautiful - breathtaking...but you won't hear ANY low registers here as you asked for. Still it's NOT to be missed. It's an Igor composition made at Dimash's request...this uber dynamic duo creates spectacularly..for our enjoyment and I might add, our edification. I absolutely ❤ you two! Dimash also sang the National Anthem of Kazakhstan in Las Vegas at the opening for the fights in which one of his countrymen was a contestant. Twitter went crazy after it! One man said that Dimash stole the whole show, calling him "that dude"!!😂 🎤💥💫💪🤯🔥 The cat couldn't believe it!🙀 So many others come to mind but these give you a deeper look at the heart of who he is. 💛

Dimash is awesome... he is by far the best singer in the world. If you watch drunken concubine and diva dance he goes extreme low and does a whistle in that song. But al his songs are insane

I love your analysis, guys. I would add that Dimash has utter respect for every song, the people who stand behind it and the idea it delivers. He's a storyteller, a Stanislavsky actor who lives out every song, every note, every sound.
He respects his past, his family, his teachers, his friends and his country! And he's humble about what he's doing. Before everything else he's a wonderful human being and it shows in his art.
As for restraint - one of my favorites is Love is Like a Dream - that's his lower range for a more pop sound. Another showcase of lower range is Olimpico for more operatic tone - no restraint there though.

I would recommend Omir, one of his latest songs where he wrote both music and lyrics and stays mostly within that lower range. Unfortunately there's no live performance yet but there's no huge storyline to the music video either.
It's an autobiographical work picturing Dimash's journey so far and is his love song to life.
Watching you, gentlemen, is worth sacrificing my time.

That D8 (Re8) was not planned. He did a lower note a few seconds before (when he shaked the mic) but didn´t sound due to a malfunction; so, at the sprur of the moment he tried higher not and it just it all went right, it Just was ment to be.

I think for more low range I recommend Stranger or Amor En Ti. If you’re looking to be super surprised one more time by Dimash, I recommend checking out Be With Me or Screaming Idol Hits live performance. I can almost guarantee that there will be a part in one of those that you won’t see coming.
And Ave Maria by Dimash has another vocal technique at the end that I think you’ll find cool.

Hi guys! I was there!🔥🔥🔥 150,000 spectators on the Old Square of Almaty waited for Dimash's performance for several hours. He came out last and sang 4 or 5 songs. It was September 2019, and it was an UNFORGETTABLE DAY for all of us. With love from Almaty, Kazakhstan ❤

If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (which he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". Here, singing on an open stage and with some discomfort in the return (we can see it several times by adjusting the headphones) we realize, in this specific part of the song, that he is going to do something and, not being able to do what he would like (Perhaps the interference of the audience or the inaccurate response of the sound, a fact that impaired his concentration), he then issued this wonderful and historic C#8 modulated to D8, with vibrato! In a more technical analysis, we can see that the notes sound dissonant, as they do not belong to the harmonic field of the tonality of the music. Still, it's a demo of technique! He must have instantly thought, "Since I couldn't do what I wanted, I'll improvise!" So he emitted the inconceivable, supernatural D8 (4698.64 Hz)! Of course, this is a joke to me, but it makes one wonder: What is Dimash's limit?

I think Olympico gives a good showing of his lower range, although I'm pretty sure it's not his lowest. I think that was in Stranger. The performance is also straight classical. His execution was, as always, flawless.
