    There is an annoying 3 second editing mistake in this video caused by some major issues I have been having with my editing computer. Sorry.

    Guardians 3 was easily one of the best mcu movies since endgame. I loved rocket and the amazing way James Gunn manages to write these characters

    The whole 'Gideons Bible' is also a nod to the song by the Beatles too as this is mentioned a few times throughout the song. I hope the song is used at some point in one of the upcoming films

    If we mix the comic version of the HE (because they didn’t really cover his back story) which is stated to rival even some celestials in intellect, and mcu rocket, rocket was able to figure an issue that the HE couldn’t as a near pup in just seconds, doesn’t that mean rocket in mcu is potentially one of, if not, the smartest non-celestial creature in the mcu.

    • @Kittsuera
      @Kittsuera Год назад +2

      When it comes to tech and calculations and combat, yes, he is probably one of the smartest characters in the MCU.
      But he is also ignorant to things related to life and thus what he knows there is only what he has learned.
      It’s like he can see with clarity how everything can work together in relation to a given task.
      But won’t know what baseball is. Ignores common sense and takes things he doesn’t need (which can and has worked out both ways)
      The MCU Rocket is much more tech competent. He won’t make those kinds of mistakes. But he is flawed in other ways which keeps him grounded, relatable and real.
      Tony Stark in comparison needs to trial and error fill things out before he can get the tech to a reasonable state.
      Both are geniuses. But Rocket is intuitive where Stark worked his way up while already having a high I Q.

    • @Kerwell
      @Kerwell Год назад +1

      @@Kittsuera think you completely missed the part where I said “potentially.” He is POTENTIALLY, the smartest non-celestial character in the mcu. And only saying that with the assumption of comic HE’s background since they didn’t establish it in the movie. If we lowball him to be at least reed or above reed, as he vastly is in the comics, that still leaves rocket to be potentially the smartest character that’s ever been on screen in the mcu.
      HE has vast general knowledge, not limited to science. Which is why in the comics, he is listed to rival select celestials in knowledge of the entire universe. So at the very least, that doesn’t make rocket just tech savvy, you’re massively undermining the every corner of science he’s cracked at, because that’s what he’s designed for. He only needs to be introduced to new information to be understand it, so any gap of knowledge can be filled easily with critical thinking, which is the whole point of HE’s obsession with him, or just learning it , hence his potential to be the smartest non-celestial character.

      @@Kerwell both of you are wrong, Hank Pym and Reed Richards are easily the smartest human in Marvel comics.

    • @Kerwell
      @Kerwell Год назад

      @@thatboyUPS HE in the comics is the only human stated to rival celestials in knowledge. He has calculated every possible outcome the universe could ever produce. His brain has gone through a million years worth of evolution. He runs laps around both of them. You clearly have no idea who comic HE is. That’s okay, educate yourself

    • @Kittsuera
      @Kittsuera Год назад

      @@thatboyUPS tbf, Rocket isnt a human (less someone wants to ret con in some isekai/ reborn as raccoon explanation) so... narrowing it down to human lowers the bar. ;D
      ---
      my previous thought/ point, is, Rocket doesnt need to know the tech before paw... he can just understand it without significant study.
      everything else that he knows is learned, including "between the lines" context. its not automatic knowledge but he does retain it.
      Tony offsets this through the use of AI. which is a cleaver way to get around the normal human limitations.
      though there are still instances where he can do such calculations in his head faster than the AI, it just takes all his focus.

    Guardians 3 was a surprisingly amazing film and the way how they handled Rocket’s arc and rapped everything up with the Guardians. If they ever decide to have a Star-Lord spinoff that adapts from the Legendary Star-Lord storyline comics. They could possibly have a Rocket spin off series that explores a bit more on how he meets with Grot and maybe directly adapt the Halfworld storyline in this series. They could tie-in the HE with Halfworld and the original alien human caretakers that used to live on Halfworld. They could explain something like, HE was one of these caretakers who took control and he hated taking care of the patients which also inspired him to create his own life and civilization. The robots where his first assistants before switching over to more organic assistants. Then he used them to keep the mentally ill patients occupied as he abandoned the planet. Then of course leads the robots gaining self-awareness.

    How do you guys feels about his Guardians series? I loved the Rocket series but I didn’t really like the Guardians series. I loved the first 4 or so issues but the Guardians were separated for most of the series and we didn’t get to see the original guardians interacting that much. There were so many new Guardians. After issue 10 or so it was just generic, “here’s a bad guy to beat, here’s another bad guy to beat” I thought there was so much potential for Rocket in this series, but Ewing really didn’t use him at all aside from the first few issues. I want to see more of his Rocket. It is my favorite version of Rocket.
