6:18 Your fingertrick optimised solution: L F' L' D' L F' L' R2 How I deal with such cases: F L F' L' D' F2 R2 Or in other words: Just save the orange one with an F move at the beginning and you don't have to sort of sledge it back afterwards. Not sure if it really is faster, but that's how it works best for me.
Assuming you're doing a white cross on the bottom, an intermediate trick is that a lot of times, there's one or more cross pieces on the top layer (with white on top) that just needs a double move like R2, F2, B2 or L2 (or a U move to match the side center (or align it with a rotated cross) and a double move) to put it into the cross. Just move those out of the way (with a U move) when you insert at least 2 other cross pieces. Then insert the easy pieces on the top layer last. This means for beginners/intermediates, you only need to insert two pieces into the cross and this is really easy to figure out during inspection. The double move piece is easily inserted afterwards and the last piece shouldn't require more than an easy 3 moves regardless of where it is. Then you can do the same with pieces that are on the middle layer and already have their centers matched. These are easily insertable with a quarter move. So try to insert other pieces first without moving these middle layer pieces. Keep them for last (or just before top layer pieces mentioned above). Sometimes you have to put it in early, but only as a second piece then the third can go in. That's just as good because you still only have to remember 2 pieces. There are tons of tricks to create a cross and only need to remember how to place 2 pieces and get all 4 in and easily figured out in 15s of inspection.

I can turn fairly quickly but I have big pauses while working out what to do. My strategy is to stop and plan my next set of moves and then execute them as quickly as possible. Not sure if that is the right strategy. I need a lot of practise!
For case 2, I think I'd start on green and do F' L F2 D' F R 3 moves to solve 2 edges, and leaves 2 more good edges 1 move from being solved. There's a small regrip in my execution but it's minor and still flows pretty well

I still haven’t pursued learning (is it called the X-cross, when, during the cross, you manage to pair f2l?) Any way, towards the end of your vid, 1 of your cross solves, right before you inserted the last edge, you went, “Ooh, f2l pair” & inserted the pair to finish your cross. Thank you for that demo. It gave me a REAL good idea/example of how you can some times insert a pair during CROSS. Thank you Thank you 🙏
J Perm cube tutorials are always the best among all
"ooh, f2l pair!"
Just want to tell you this help me so much. I used to do cross similar to what you did except I have to do it on the same center color. Now I dont have to do that just do it as long as the order is right. I still slow but this help me a lot, thanks.
Thank you very much jperm for this great video! ❤
This guy is so good at teaching! I am rn sub 30 and aiming to sub 20. I have confidence to achieve it after watching his videos.

Thank you so much! I think this is going to help a lot!
i did learn something new thank you very much
I had already learnt all this by myself.but couldn't resist watching cause it's a jperm upload.
Best cubing channel.
Some great vids. Sub 40 atm, with a 32s pb. My cross takes faaar too long though. So hoping this can help get me into the 20s! The hardest part for me is remembering the moves
My cross takes me about 10 - 20 seconds, and my pb for the cube is 1:59, but I do use a cube that was my mum's, so it's 40 years old, so it's really stiff. So at least your doing better than me lol
I am getting a new cube for my birthday so I should be able to get sub 50 I hope
@@depagogd1426 I've been slacking but averaging about 25s now. Cross is still my worst part my far though. A good cube makes a huge difference. Good luck!
i think you can skip cross and f2l by using the 1st step in roux method (1x2x3)
then you can use oll and pll
i tried it once and it worked
this was very helpful thank you alot!
Here is my way of solving the cross.
Using M or M' moves followed by U or U', or r' or l' moves, followed by U, U' or U2 moves instead of any B moves when solving the cross.
Cross pieces are simply edges, so using M or M' moves will work.
Yay, advanced cross! I could sure use this :)
Good and Useful video. It really helped me a lot.
loved the video and the previous part too keep it up bro..
I just saw that this was from 1 exact year ago!! Great Video Though!!
Lol this video made me rethink whether I’m good at cross
important: 3:55,
8:20 (you can insert an edge even if it's not right, just override it later)
Hello! An alternative to wide moves are double-simultaneous moves (U & D') to solve the situation used in demonstrating the wide move; as it is sometimes very hard to change your grip from middle layer to bottom layer to do wide moves. (If you get my point)
Thank you!before I couldn't know how to do some of this cases but now I learn how!I am a sub 12 solver and my cross average is around 1-2seconds but sometimes the scramble is really bad and my cross is just awful😣but thank you one more time😀😁
Wish I found this last month when I was working on the cross, I did see the previous beginner's cross video, but not this one.
Literally Every Tip And Trick In this video I figured by myself, But I also think figuring it all out by myself made it more clear to me so idk
5:08 Jperm: this is the rare case you can get.
Me: I always this case mostly every solve
Same
This was a good one. Thanks!!
What the heck! Your TPS is Crazy 7:57
Thank you
Yeeeeeees more cross stuff. That's absolutely one of the most useful things I can imagine for me personally, thank you
For example 2
Facing the orange center
L' B L2 u' F R
Would be the best solution for the X-Cross
Since it's easier to finger trick
In my opinion
Depending on how you execute it
Plus,
It puts the F2L pair at the back
:)
Great video!! Keep it up bigboy
It's awesome dude and makes me feel better ....nice and thanks dude.....!!👍👌😀
This is insanely useful
My cross solution have 3 rotation before i watch this vdo
