I realize this video is 5 years old. I wish I had found this video five years ago. I’ve been dealing with this issue for just about that long. I will start doing these morning and night. Thank you so much.
Me too! You are so welcome!
👊 I'm gonna try this, been dealing with a very stubborn Tennis elbow for at least 6 months now.
This is the place to start!
Thank you
Great advice. Definitely a link between the neck and the nerves in the hand and arm.
Yes! It's so true, 95% of tennis elbow sufferers have some kind of neck issue too!
Thank you!! Such great info. Starting this today!
You are more than welcome!! Keep me posted how you are getting on!
How is your elbow?
She gave up and left the country...
Thanks again 🙏
You are so welcome!!
Thank you !
You are more than welcome!!
Vrery helpful. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Thanks fir this video. I'm suffering from golfers elbow for the past year. Would this exercise work for golfers elbow as well? Thank you
Yes, absolutely! Start it today 😊
While doing it, i feel a little tightness around the middle back, on the spine, so lower than the neck for about 4 inches. That tightness causes me a little pain when i'm in the double chin position, but it stops right away as i release it. Should i keep doing this exercise? I've been experiencing elbow pain recently which began to go up in the shoulder too, and since i'm always forcing my grip on screwdrivers at work i can't recover so easily.
Great question! I would ease off on the intensity - so don't push back as hard as you can, but keep it at about 50% until your mid back releases. You likely need to activate your core at the same time.
Is this also used for acute "tennis-related" tennis elbow; or is it best used for chronic conditions?
Hey Walter, great question. This would be used for all acute or chronic conditions.
@@TennisElbowQueen , thank you!
My journey of recovery start here today 😀
YES!! You got this Julie!
Please God this works, feels like I'll never get back to normal activities & sports.
It should certainly set you on the right track Graham!
Can you do this standing up? Just kind of pull your head back and make the double chin. Or does it NEED to be lying down?
Yes, you can absolutely do this exercise standing or sitting. I teach it lying down as it’s a great way to unload and take the strain off the neck. Keep it comfortable
@TennisElbowQueen I have been suffering from tennis elbow for around 6 months now. But what I noticed is that when I start playing the pain is there for the first 2 to 3 minutes and then it goes away. And I can play pain free for the entire session. But after I finish playing, the pain comes back. Is this common?
That's great! It shows you are getting the circulation going to the tendon when you play. It's not that common - most people can't tolerate playing or it makes it worse. Are you working with a PT to resolve it?
Hi, i am Anirban.
wowzers - this young lady is a smokeshow!! i should get myself injured more often!!!!
I don’t understand the kinesiology behind a neck exercise for the neck
Did you watch all the video? I explain it with a model of the spine.
