- Yes, it has 4 doors, but the F55 MINI Cooper can be a fun car and when it is configured just right, it is a very brilliant looking little car. In this video I will introduce you to both the F55 Cooper 4-door and the F55 Cooper S 4-door and I will show you my favorite configuration for this particular model.

Despite what some people may say the 5 door Cooper is a really good looking car and as you point out, a much more practical option for those who don’t just occasionally carry rear seat passengers. Access is not as straightforward as in a Clubman but a vast improvement over the three door hatch. Although the proportions of the 3 door are more classic my wife chose the 5 door as it’s much easier with the kids on a day to day basis. Emerald grey with a black roof is a good combination. Here in the UK you see a ton of 5 door MINI’s, most bought for practicality reasons but my rear seats only get used in an emergency. A few of us here in London bought the 5 door to turn them into 300bhp+ autobahn stormers. A mate just bought an Emerald Grey 5 door this week 2019 2,000 miles on the clock with most options ticked - which is rare on a 5 door in the UK. Add coilovers, 19” alloys, JCW Sport pack, de-chrome, full engine and exhaust upgrades suddenly you go from the Hertz rental look to beast mode and the proportions start looking better than the 3 door.
I’ve ordered the 3 door Cooper S even though I sometimes need a wheelchair. My back seats will possibly just be left down but I have some excellent ‘Car Shades’ to blackout my back windows for privacy.
I personally think the 5 door is hideous, although I started off with Old Skool Minis back in 1989.
I saw an Emerald Grey in my dealer and it reminded me of the colour of baby poo.
I’ve gone for and all black 3 door inc black wheels. I do have some chrome to cover and I have a few internal bits in black & white check.
I agree with you ....having the JCW spoiler on the 4 door, it brings balance ...
My NEXT Cooper S will be a 4 door HardTop S model, and i CAN'T WAIT. I didn't like them when they first came out, but i drove one and now with the extra room and right package, my Mini will be Bad Azz... and then, I'll have TWO MINIs. #MiniHeaven🚘

Im on my 3 mini and just bought the 2018 4 door mini type S. I really like it so far but unfortunately its missing the ambient light feature in which I thought it was standard but apparently not but great cars!
Missing! No toggle for it. The middle console is the only ambient light I have. Is that normal? I don’t even have lights on the handles, floor or even on the bottom of the doors (sad face)

@@TheMINIac Just an update... I went back to the dealership today and asked why my car doesn't come with the ambient lighting. The sales guy told me for 2018, they took out the ambient lighting and had it as an option (excitement package) that cost $1800 to add on as an additional feature and instead they added the back camera as a standard feature...Mystery solved but im really bummed out because the features on the mini such as the ambient lighting makes it a Mini
I really love Mini's and i really want one.my problem is they have low hardware options in that price point. I think in 2021 , Rear view camera and cruise control must be standart expecially at premium brands but noooo i have to buy at least signature package and still missing so much stuff and it is still so expensive.i can purchase Audi A3 with more option than Mini cooper. I know they’re very different but if i buy a brand new car in 2021 i want some technologies inside as well. I am very torn.
