Hey Sonikks, quick question here. Is there anyway to repel trick for a shiny Sentret out in the wild (preferably so I can catch it in a Love Ball)? I’ve been at one for so long (at least 300+ hours).
Use this program and Serebii/Bulbapedia to locate the places Sentret is dude; github.com/AngefloSH/PokemonEncCalc/releases There's a really good place on Route 1 actually in both HG/SS. Repel 3 repel trick (Bring WhiteFlute/Illuminate) gives you 50% Sentret, 37.5% Pidgey and 12.5% Furret. You can actually do a level 5 repel trick for Furret there too but it's quite slow. Best of luck!

Hey sonikks, I just started shiny hunting for the first time. I am currently 2,988 REs in trying to catch shiny Lugia in Alpha sapphire. But how do you keep from getting burned out? What do you do while shiny hunting? How often do you take breaks and do you have a routine for hunting? like an hour per day or something. Im about to give up.
Good luck. Make huntng the background task. Hunt while you're watching a stream, series, TV etc. If it's all you do, it's gonna get boring. Set a goal for yourself. "I'm gonna do X amount today" can help too.

I'm wanting to start shiny hunting. I found a shiny Chansey while EXP grinding in Ultra Moon and the rush I got when I saw it was unreal. It's addictive.
Phasing is a term for when shiny hunters do not get their target Pokemon on the first try or Lord forbid they fail it. Lets say he got a different shiny instead like ditto during the first encounter. That would be phase 1. If the next shiny Pokemon he found was Miltank (following phase 1) then we would say he got his target Pokemon Miltank on phase 2. In the case that the shiny is failed he would have to search again and find the target Pokemon which shiny hunters call a reclaim.
Question for you I'm trying to go around to collect up some of the old poke.on games so far got Pokemon Y, Ultra Sun, and Soulsiover, Leaf but idk where I should get heartgold so I was wondering for an opinion should I trust buying one off Amazon?
I haven't personally purchased any Pokémon games that were not new from Amazon. I don't know if I'm the best person to ask. I will tell you to exercise caution on online sites of course. I buy frequently from Ebay and I recommend you don't buy without a return policy, try to buy with a box/manuals to decrease the chance of a fake & always buy through PayPal.

Ive found 2 shiny miltanks here by accident while level grinding on two seperate playthroughs on the same cartridge. Theyre also the only full odds shinies ive ever found so its a bummer i got a duplicate
I need that wish of luck. I got a lapras chain a mile long and have spawned over 600 in Let's Go and not one sparkled. Found like a dozen shiny magikarp and tentacool and one odd shiny tentacruel.

For your on sanity do shiny swapping or hunt other starters, sun and moon are terrible with shiny hunting the starters

Shiny miltank was one of my first shinys ... Sadly I gave it away because kid me thought that a lvl. 100 legendary was worth more.
Just spent hours grinding in this spot and sadly didn’t get anything but I definitely didn’t reach enough encounters to reach odds.
