My sister died in 1988, she was 15. This was her favorite song and it was played at her funeral. I was only six when she passed but have never been able to listen to this song since she passed, until now. Dan, you make it possible for me to listen to this song again. You have a gift, and I am in love with everything you do. You are an angel, thank you for all the music you put out. I will forever listen.

My Condolences. Losses that close to the heart are never easy and there's no time-length determinant on the pain of loss. I lost my father almost a year ago on 2/13/21 and he used to play this song on acoustic guitar for me, it's because of him that I have an obsession with 80s hair metal lol. BUT some songs from the era aren't available audio-only online (unless live versions) lol so it is nice to find someone like Dan Vasc that actually brings the music back to life so to speak. His cover here and that of Whitesnake's Here I Go Again are only 2 among all his fantastic renditions that I am truly grateful to him for sharing. My earholes are definitely happy and grateful as well. Anyway, I hope that you, as well as your sister, have found peace and happiness over these years apart.

Hi Dan, I’m a 83 years old grandma , I have a son , that plays bass and lead guitar, I’ve been listening to him playing since he was a teen, and still play heavy metal, rock, Queen, Clapton, Zeppelin, and so on.
Tonite I turned on my 65’tv as usual, I opened the uTube app to listen to Bible reading, before I go to sleep with God’s words lullaby me to sleep.
But before I do that to, I do some surfing , 0:27 your channel came on with you singing “The Sound of Silence, one of my favorite, 0:27 I knew I had to listen to you singing, and am listening to the various songs you sing.
God gave a beautiful gift, an incredible powerful voice.
I don’t do much now , TV keeps me company, and now I’m enjoying listening to the variety of songs you sing .

My son passed away at the age of 25 in 2016 I am his mother and I am 66 we both loved led Zeppelin and other music from back in my day ! I know if my son was alive today he would say you are awesome ! And who knows he might hear you up in heaven with the Angels ! I'm going to continue to listen to you because you are great and you make me feel good with your music when I get depressed about losing my son! Please continue to sing for everyone ❤

I understand lost my only daughter at 42 its been 10 yrs but my heart is still broken
I lost my beautiful blonde hair n blue eyed daughter 11years ago, she was only 24. She was a passenger in a car accident. Losing her has forever changed me. It's the worse thing any parent can go through.
This song along with "FreeBird" and even "You are my Sunshine" were all played during her services. I have never been able to listen to these 3 songs since then. I have ran out of a store plugging my ears and even screamed at a couple coworkers to change the station if i even hear the first couple notes.
I recently watched a good buddy of mine marry his soul mate. It wasn't a big fancy wedding, it was outside with a few of their closest friends and family members... anyway as i was leaving i heard the "You are my Sunshine"song playing and i did what i usually do plugged my ears. There was a lady that realized it had to be a trigger for me and she very politely asked me if i was OK. I shared with her my loss.
She then said to me that she was so sorry for my loss and that maybe i should try to think of happy memories of her if i hear these songs.
Dan, this is going to be my 1st attempt to listen to you singing one of these songs that i have dodged for 11 years now🙏🤞

I lost my son 19 months ego.After his death I was listening to religious songs and Dans Amazing Grace puppet out and I’m listening to him since then.My son artist was Lana Del Rey and I didn’t stop listening to her because I feel like he is with me when I put her music on.Of course everyone is different.My sympathies for you.One more thing,someone told me when I was crying,don’t cry because it’s hard for him where he is.I try to be happy, tears coming anyway when I hear some songs,look at pictures or with no reason.All the best,stay strong 😊❤

This young man deserves a Grammy. He is one of the best singers I have ever heard. Come on Capital Records or whoever.....sign this man! I would buy every record he ever made.
As a dyed in the wool rock and roller and now a Dan Vasc metal lover, I so appreciate everything he does. He did Stairway to Heaven better than the original and the original was pretty damn good. I became his fan for life with Amazing Grace and I watch his videos now as much as as I can. He is beyond any doubt the best singer/performer on RUclips and the world as we know it. He brings so much joy and fun into my life and I am eternally grateful.

I've been listening for less than an hour. Starting with Amazing Grace. I don't know if I will ever have words to express my joy at hearing you sing.
Well, he damn sure cured me of my bias against metal. When his first video thumbnail for Amazing Grace showed up in my yt feed, I literally came to scoff. My ear's tuned and trained for classic opera. No way a metalhead could do anything but screech his way through everything, right? Took only a couple of notes to set me straight. Now it's my favorite version of the song.
If Plant or Page hears this they should compliment this guy for singing it the way it was and should be. It’s a hard cover but once again, this guy nails it w/the respect it should have. I know most artists want to put their own spin on their covers but some songs…eh, don’t mess it up too much. He doesn’t disappoint. 🤠🙀🐾🐾👍❤️🔥😎

Wow, you did this song justice. I'm 70 and Zep's version of this was my late husband's and my favorite song for special private times with a special catalyst. When my husband was battling cancer at the end of his life, I so wanted a way to play this song for him as a final reminder of our marriage and 46 years together (I didn't have the ability to get to the nursing home in time to let him hear his all-time favorite song). I'm crying writing this and was tearing up hearing your rendition of this. Very well done sir.

Kind regards from Germany. According to my ID card, I'm now 65 years old, but I feel younger, at least on the days when I'm feeling well. Unfortunately, due to a serious illness, I live in a nursing home and, thank God, I have internet here I have a PC. I can't imagine a day without listening to music and since I have a lot of time, I'm often on You Tube to discover new songs and voices. About a reaction to the song "Amazing Grace" I came across Dan and it blew me away and of course I subscribed to the channel straight away. Heavy metal is also heard in the nursing home and since most of the residents here are older and mostly hard of hearing, I can play the songs a little louder listen as it should. Music connects and music can heal. When I listen to music that touches my heart and soul, I forget everything around me and for that time I forget my pain. Thank you Dan for this beautiful gift you gave me with your incredible voice ready.❤❤❤❤❤

I am 68 now. When I was 20, my boyfriend ( soon to be husband ) and I loved this song. We always danced to it. He passed away a long time ago but everytime I hear this song I cry. This brings back so many wonderful memories . I love this song and this young man sings it so beautifully. Thank you.

I don't think he's mimicking... He's singing in the real. I hear Dan's voice when he sings, regardless of the voice of the original recording artists. Dan, you annunciate so clearly both when singing and when speaking. 💜
