I used to have the Abraxas album in Quad 8 Track. It was the ultimate mix of Quadraphonic and beautiful music. The mix was so that the instruments floated around all four speakers,, beautiful man beautiful. Thank you Carlos and band.
I used to install car stereos in 1975. I can remember when we got the latest and greatest Quad 8 Track deck to sell. You're right, Abraxas was 'the' album for channel dispersion/rotation. As long as my customer heard the demo, it was a simple sale. And of course, if I perceived the odor of cannabis, I could sell them anything.
Oh my. My Dad had that on his boat and would play it everytime we went out. Great memories. My love for Santana was sparked then. Early 70's. I was very blessed to see Santana and Eric Clapton perform in Knoxville TN in the 70's as well. That remains my favorite concert still. Big fan of Mike Shrieves after seeing Santana play at Woodstock. (The movie, I was a bit too young to actually attend).

A lot of people don't know Fleetwood Mac wrote this song way back when Peter Green was still in the band. Tickle them ivories Alicia, then slays you with the passion in that voice.
