My all time favourite track from Santana in 1972 when I met my best friend and wife of over fifty years. Five years ago the same track was posted to me by my brother in Sydney. His message "Hey brother here's an oldie but hey it's still a blast" . That was the last time I heard from him. A week later I was standing next to his bed in ICU. He was in a coma! But no matter, I played it to him knowing that hearing is the last thing to go. At least he knew that I was there for him and that I loved him. I play this more often now reminding me of my wife and I when young, and as I remember my brother the tears come once again. Rest well brother, and because of Christ Jesus on the cross reconcilling ALL to God, we will meet again.❤

A morire prima o poi tocca a tutti.

I'm a believer. I love the Lord my God and I love all the beauty He has created and inspired, no matter what form it takes. In the realm of music, I have never felt more alive than when I'm listening to Carlos Santana. I hear his beautiful music, I feel the the passion, the emotions so clear and pure, but most of all the love pouring out of him, and by extension, his guitar. and it's as if God is speaking to me, to all of us through him, through his guitar. I have always loved and been touched by music, of many genres. I played classical piano for many years myself, so I appreciate and respect the musicians, the vocalists, the discipline and all that goes into making it happen. In my opinion, Mr Santana is on a whole nother level above anything else I've ever heard. He is special, he is one of the chosen, he is gifted and blessed!
I was blessed enough to see him once at the Masonic Temple, Detroit Michigan. I can't remember the exact year but it was in the late 70s early 80s, I went to that concert with my brother his girlfriend my younger sister and a bunch of all of our friends we took up a whole roll in the top row of the second from the top tier, and I'll never forget because we were all standing up dancing and having a blast! The people behind us started yelling sit down, sit down! We told them no, stand up! Stand up! Then turned around to face the music again and I couldn't believe it, Santana had the spotlight up on our row, and he was pointing right at us! It was an awesome moment, one of the best memories I have from that time in my life! Santana has always been my number one, all time favorite and always will be! What I wouldn't give to be able to see Santana one more time, what a blessing that would be!
Thank you Mr Santana for that wonderful memory, and for all the years you've blessed us with your most excellent, unique and beautiful music!
I will keep you in my prayers always, sending much love and many blessings your way! 😇XO🙏XO✝️XO💖

Carlos is the greatest of all time. There are many talented guitarists who can play the instrument, but nobody can make the guitar sing from the heart like he can.
And a wonderful, warm person too. I had the pleasure of speaking with him when my son was shooting a music video of him in Vegas in 2014. Carlos came over and introduced himself to me, and told me that we all have the capacity to commit seven miracles every day. The world would be a much better place if there were more people with his heart and soul.

The days of LPs and the days we used to have group posters (from the LP's inserts) in our college dorm rooms...All of his LP Album Covers had only one name in BIG bold: SANTANA...Back then a lot of folks used to think He was Puerto Rican. From the early 70's to now - there is no other like Carlos Santana - the guitar chords and attack, the beautiful melody pulls you in - you're just There. I've seen him also in the past couple of years and he just keeps getting better and better. This song lives in infamy however.....in my dreams and memories, forever. 🎼🎸☮

The man rocks it every time he has a guitar in his hands!! Been a fan since the 60's and he is truly the "Maestro". Makes a guitar talk to people with no lyrics! And a very humble and gracious person! Keep playing the soul Carlos!!

You were at the Yamava casino in San Bernardino in February.. I couldn’t see you because I didn’t have the money. I’m 82 yrs old. But if u come around again I don’t care how much it cost.. I’m going. I’m already saving for ur next concert.
