Tom just might be a keeper! So thoughtful and perceptive! I'll be honest, I didn't like him at first, he came off as gruff and stand-offish, but recognizing your mental health shows a gentle, caring side.

Oh my goodness, I'm only 2 minutes into the video and I have to say....I love how Thom noticed that you were down and needed some time away and followed through with taking of things. He is for sure a keeper🥰 Sometimes as women we don't get seen or understood because we're so good at just going along with our days. He noticed and I love that. Ok, I'm down crying happy tears... I can go back and finish the video lol.

I used to go to Katoomba as a kid. Both the rail and the skyway have been significantly upgraded. BTW, there's a Cancer Council Op shop in the back streets, which has great prices.

Pity that Naturopathic book had a big crease on the rear cover when you turned it over, still achieved a good sale price though! Epic waterfall, beautiful surroundings! Yeah that Cliffhanger train did look a bit like a roller coaster ride Lol. Highlight has to be the doggie paddle in the pool Lol, you two had great fun! Thanks for bringing us along!

Yes. We are like Ying and Yang but we just understand each other and we enjoy doing the same things. The conversation just flows and we always have lots to talk about or ask each other for advice on. Thom grounds me when I’m jumping all over the place like a squirrel brain and I remind him to also have a bit of fun with work life balance. It just works ♥️

Love your vids Mel - they’re so uplifting. I used to live in Melbourne but barely saw any of Aus outside the main cities so it’s cool to see smaller areas through the lens. It’s always cool to see inside those op shops :)

I have actually been to this Deli. Is this in Katoomba? Ha! Never mind. Just got to the point in the video where you say it, lol. I was there in 2022!
We have a Yellow Deli a couple of miles from us in Vista, California - it has such incredibly good food and the building features amazing workmanship!
Oh wow! They were telling us how they had groups all over the world.

Yes the food is sooooo good. They grow their produce and everything is handmade from scratch. It’s really good food and the cafe is always busy.

That’s so cool you went to Katoomba! I’m in Texas, and I went to AUS back in 2014. One of the days I was there I booked a hiking tour of the Blue Mountains on Viator. We rode that incline rail to the bottom, then proceeded to hike in the wilderness for about 6 hours. An unforgettable experience! Cool seeing vegetation that you don’t see in the U.S.!
The blue mountains is absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to go back!

No never! The only time we get pickles is on a McDonald’s burger lol. Pickles are an American thing.

Oh gawd Mel, you crack me up. I enjoyed that Vlog so much. I love the Blue Mountains... good to see you getting out of the ACT ! But... I'm not sure what part I enjoyed the most... The "Does it shoot the dagger"? or the subsequent responses... "What?", "Oh, OK", or the "I'm special". And, just so you know, there were 19,000 guns in the ACT at the last count (and 3 million within Australia) 😁😁 Keep 'em coming !

They have Australian accents but they sound terrible lol. The Siri on my phone speaks to me in a Scottish accent lol
That MOL shirt was a good deal for 198. Exact same one has sold recegtly for 450
We priced it at the time (filmed about April) and we decided to leave it. But $450 is a great price.

Lithgo! The building behind the museum is the factory where they make weapons also. It’s very interesting. They also make all the handcuffs etc for the police force.
wow those prices are so much cheaper for books... eg the $1 each and 5 for $4... never see that here except for tip shops where the quality isn't usually great
