For removing the 6 bolts connecting the hub and rotor, leave the caliper and brakes on. Loosen up those 6 bolts before anything else while using the brakes to hold the rotor/hub assembly from spinning. Youll thank me later.
After this did your rotor warp, eventually? This is exactly what I did but over a year, I now need to replace my rotors….. thanks for the video not a lot of people know how hard this is.
For future reference, car brands typically stick with the same sizes. For Gm, Chevy, Buick it’s 10,13,15,18,21 for Japanese cars like Hondas it’s 10,12,14,17,19,21
FYI, Craftsman makes a swivel socket that makes taking out those four bolts a breeze. I've seen guys use a swivel and socket and round off the bolts just as in the video. Don't be that guy, buy the socket or separate the tie rod from the knuckle and move the assemble out for clearance. Again, FYI GM has discontinued the brake dust shields so don't ruin them or you will be searching junkyards for replacements, but then again you may already be there looking for bolts if you rounded them off.
I needed this video a year ago, I was successful, and today needed a mind refresher, and again this video pulled through.

How do you remove them 6 bolts I try every socket nothing fits I try a 17 thin wall and 18 thin wall but slip and 16 mm is to small

what about machining or replacing those scratched rotors

Napa can still get after market dust shields last I knew
The engineers need to be flogged for putting rotors where they did.
replace the rotors after all that shit
I could tell by the way you carry yourself your ACDelco certified
Thanks goofy
