I hope falcon does a part 2
In kh2 theres a cutscene of the lazer dome attack. In kh3 he actually does it and you have to survive inside it. Scared the absolute hell out of me but fulfilled a childhood dream
I remember the Sephiroth battle in the original FF7 blew me away back in the day. all the moves he was doing, attacking my party with comets and fighting in space and for the first time in the series at the end of the game they switched from midi to full uncompressed audio for the final boss music adding that gospel choir that sings his name, it was so epic way back on the PS1.
Even though it's not in here, I feel like you could also add Returnal as an honorary pick. The main bosses of the biomes are some of the coolest boss fights I've ever been a part of in any video game, especially the Hyperion fight. The buildup to the Hyperion fight is one of the very few times I've ever really truly gotten goosebumps in a game because of how cool it was. Visually, the fights are incredible, too. Extremely vibrant, colorful orbs being shot at you, the fact that each boss fight has 3 phases and how punishing the nature of the game is, so you can't get caught zigging when you should've zagged or you're back to square one. Very cool game. Worthy of a shoutout on this list.
Love Hollowknight. I really would have never played it, due to the type of game it is, but I’m so glad I was able to catch one of my favorite streamers playing (Barbarous King).
A honerable mention for the 2D games must be Cuphead. I wouldn't say they are completely insane but the ability to make every boss feel hard when you fight them the first time is crazy. And the game is just bosses so.
Glad to see Monster Hunter do so well here. World is an immense game. Plus, in the series, literally everything you do revolves around and focuses on taking out the “bosses” / monsters. You need a set of armour and a new weapon to beat the next monster? Well you best make sure you have the right armour and weapons to grind the monster required to make the desired set lol. It’s a constant feeling of progression and such a rewarding game. Highly recommend it to those who haven’t got into the MH games yet.
3U, 4U, Gen U, World: Iceborne and Rise all have incredible combat and boss battles. Even the older ones like 3U still have combat better than most games, even though it’s dated compared to later entries in the series.
I just started Elden Ring, enjoying it so far, but I played Demon's Souls just a couple of weeks ago and, combined, some of the most ridiculous boss fights I've ever come across. It is awesome. I'd also add, I think it Nemesis from Returnal. That game drove me crazy, but I have to give them credit for that thing.
I think Elden Ring has the wildest FromSoftware boss battles yet with the likes of Maliketh, Godfrey/Horah Loux, Rykard, Malenia, Fortissax, Placidussax, Radagon/Elden Beast etc.
@@WarriorofSunlight I definitely agree with you. I've played Bloodborne, DS3 & DS1 since then, DS3 & BB are awesome, but Elden Ring remains my favorite.

Fecto Elfilis from Kirby and the Forgotten Land was so dang crazy. You just have an awesome fight topped by the amazing visuals and music. Then in the final QTE against it, you literally become a truck and proceed to run over it.
Fantastic video. It made me want to go back to things I had abandoned (FS games) and to try franchises I've never felt that were for me (DMC). And we can feel how Falcon loves this subject just by the way he narrates it
Ya can't know until you try, I've never once thought that rogue-likes were for me, then I played Hades and loved/finished it. The next genre I've never played but will give a try with Sons of the Forest is survival
Look, DMC 2 wasn't great, it was quite bad, but mate if I didn't rent and play the shit out of it multiple times as a kid. It was one of the first incredibly hard games I ever played to completion. That game's atmosphere and weird, gothic-horror atmosphere with Suave emo Dante still brings back great memories.
We all knew Shadow of Colossus was going to be up here. Although it always gets its praise and props. Still always nice to see it gets its props a decade later. How much impact and hours of fun and experiences its given alot of us.
Despite the hundreds of other great games I've played over the past decades, Ludwig is still one of the most badass, epic bosses I ever fought, not the mention so many others. From Software are the undisputed masters.
I haven't played a whole lot of games , but Ludwig is imo the best boss i ever fought...loved every second of that fight and the second phase is truly breathtaking!
I’m just going to say it. Sword Saint Isshin. Every other boss out there. In all of video game universe. Pales. I took his life. But he took my heart. Same could be said about Miyazaki. You genius bastard.
Honestly going through my third playthrough of Resident Evil 4 Remake, the boss fights are just *chefs kiss* perfect. Highlight is Krauser both his first fight and second fight. Always on my edge and ready but man it was so amazing.

I’m surprised ghost of Tsushima wasn’t on that list. Every single duel is basically a boss fight and they’re so ridiculously intense and fun, especially when you duel the eagle at the end of the iki island expansion
My top 10: 10. Batman: Arkham City 9. God of War (2018) 8. Batman: Arkham Origins 7. Sekiro: Shadows Due Twice 6. God of War Ragnarok 5. Devil May Cry 5 4. Bloodborne 3. God of War III 2. Dark Souls 3 1. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
I LOVE that Ninja Gaiden Black (which is Ninja Gaiden 2004 with extra content) and MGS3 both originally released in 2004, are both the oldest on this list, and are still this relevant, memorable, and playable today almost 20 years later. These are examples of what great games look like that earn the level of timelessness. I think MGS4 is pique video gaming, personally.
Great list, all the games here are fully deserving but i would personally include Nier Automata and Final Fantasy VII Remake as well. especially FFR, i think Square Enix did a fantastic job re-imagining all those encounters from the classic, and the amazing orchestrated music elevates the battles even more, goosebumps fest for me.
"The ball-busting difficulty" seems a little be understated. After playing ,and not finishing, the dark soul 3, I'm suffering from a symptom called "Boss PTSD", anywhere that even vaguely looks like a boss battle makes my heart rate up.
Wasn’t insane environment wise, but in Ghost of Tsushima, on the DLC Island I fought the Mongol boss Khunbush for two whole in-game days. It was outrageous.
Hell House in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. While the core part of the battle will need to be handled the same by each player (it shifts elements, so you need to have magic on hand that will counter each of its elements), there's a lot of other ways you can go about the fight, especially on hard mode where the boss itself wasn't just stronger, but it brought out some (sometimes unfair) extra help. The hard mode fight took me over 50 tries because I was being extremely stubborn and absolutely refused to just redo thr chapter and play it better to have more MP by the time I reached the boss, but I'm a little proud of my stubborness for pulling it off 😅
The endgame bosses in the more recent Monster Hunter games also has dynamic soundtrack, especially the ones where, when the monster is in panic mode, the Proof of a Hero plays in the style of the game and mixes with the monster’s own theme. It’s not just taking one piece of music and flat out replacing another piece, the two pieces intermingle, struggle for supremacy, and if you’re owning the fight then eventually Proof of a Hero starts playing using the instruments of the monster’s own theme, or you cart your final time before you get there.
Sekiro to me represents From Software at their peak in boss design, so many memorable and fun bosses that are infinitely replayable (Genichiro, Isshin, Owl just to name a few). Dark Souls 3's bosses are also equally amazing, and despite the fact it has less bosses than Elden Ring, it makes up for it by keeping the quality a lot more consistent, whereas in ER's case so many of the bosses are nothing more than a cool spectacle and aren't that much fun to actually fight.
"Idk what they were smoking when they designed that thing" lmao! I was eating when that part came on. I almost had to spit out my food I was laughing so hard
A "reworking" of Tenchu would be dream game - If they nailed the execution. It was one of the 1st games I fell in love with (perfecting every level) and I'd LOVE to see it come back. Tenchu remake / remaster PLEASE!
I recommend Ghost of Tsushima if you haven't played yet, it's not quite Tenchu, but until we get Codname Red from Ubisoft, it's the closest we'll get. Tenchu Z had some great ideas but it did not come together as a whole, sadly. Wrath of Heaven remains the best that series got in my opinion.
@@takoshihitsamaru4675 Have it and completed it -Absolutely fantastic game! And I may have seen a bit of Wrath of Heaven (very, VERY Kurosawa? Looks like a puppet show almost?) but haven't dipped in. May do if I get an itch that cannot be scratched. Thanks!
@@sywrexile3078 Wrath of Heaven is kinda like the midway point of old Tenchu and more modern games, a nice balance and it rewards timing and stealth above all (3 playable character campaigns too). Ghost was honestly my game of the decade, so incredibly good and even more so because I'm an Xbox owner, never owned a PS since PS2.
Fromsoft bosses really are too good to choose just one game. Ornstein & Smough, Gwyn, Artorius and Manus from DS1; Gascoigne, Amelia, Gherman, Ludwig and Maria from Bloodborne; Sulyvahn, Dancer, Twin Princes, Soul of Cinder, Friede, Demon Princes, Midir and Gael from DS3… the list is pretty much endless.

Aye first time ive been this early to an upload. I love your guys' stuff. I appreciate all the hard work you guys put in consistently!
My exact thought going into this was which Fromsoft boss they were going to pick for #1 lol. Glad to see they got their own category
Gameranx is my go to channel for long drives!
Isshin sword saint and isshin ashina AND genichiro…Basically the whole of sekiro
I knew it.
Always on my edge and ready but man it was so amazing.
is it harder than re2 you think the hardest mode what is it survival,Done clair path first blind never played re apart from 5,re2 was hard as shit on somebits lel,the sewers is the best bit
I like how Falcon could barely find words to describe Hollow Knight, which just feels epic intuitively
Sekiro will always have some of my favorite boss fights. One of my absolutely favorite games.
The headless ape👌
Going back and replaying the game, I find Genichiro way too easy, but there's still just something so satisfying about that fight.
@@gameranxTV lmao
Who is the Mastermind behind all of your game list ideas? Do you do a brainstorm? This is pure LSS knowledge in life, great job, really
We all contribute
Idk how much gameranx gets paid but they need a raise lol
Well they share the channel so…
I mean.. assuming it's just the 3 of them I would imagine they split the RUclips dollars evenly between them. With the number of views their videos get I would say they probably don't need a raise.. just saying
Surprised not to see any of the Arkham games in here. I thought most of the bosses in Arkham City were freaking awesome.
I’m surprised ghost of Tsushima wasn’t on that list. Every single duel is basically a boss fight and they’re so ridiculously intense and fun, especially when you duel the eagle at the end of the iki island expansion
By the time we got to number 2 and I hadn't seen Asura's Wraith or a From Software game, I knew we had missed one 😢
Lmao you showed V on the cover to talk about dm5's craziest boss battle 😂
The entirety of sekiro bosses, bloodborne, elden ring, darksouls. Thats it.
Personally, the cinematography of the Ghost of Tsushima fights and duels are unprecedented
Especially against The Eagle in the Iki Island DLC
My top 10:
10. Batman: Arkham City
9. God of War (2018)
8. Batman: Arkham Origins
7. Sekiro: Shadows Due Twice
6. God of War Ragnarok
5. Devil May Cry 5
4. Bloodborne
3. God of War III
2. Dark Souls 3
1. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Maliketh the Black Blade is number one for me.
👌
👍🏼 Part 2
@@gameranxTV Hell yes, probably my most anticipated game this year.
"The ball-busting difficulty" seems a little be understated. After playing ,and not finishing, the dark soul 3, I'm suffering from a symptom called "Boss PTSD", anywhere that even vaguely looks like a boss battle makes my heart rate up.
Dark Souls 3 is probably as close as it gets with having a near perfect lineup of bosses. Only about 2 clunkers in the entire game.
This was a great list! Good job guys!
The Heimdall boss battle in GOW is really freaking awesome. Nero Vs Vergil was fun as well!
Gow3 has the best fights in the series
of course nero vs vergil was fun who hasn't thought of using devil buster on vergil back in dmc4
Sekiro bossess is just so cool to play against. Literally dancing with them and at fast pace too, so satisfying!
From software bosses = let me test your insanity and your skills, Tarnished.
😂
Wasn’t insane environment wise, but in Ghost of Tsushima, on the DLC Island I fought the Mongol boss Khunbush for two whole in-game days. It was outrageous.
Bloodborne is the best
Really any souls game imo
I really dont understand the hype on this game
Sekiro is better
There is nothing that can top it.
@@ryandasilva175 it’s harder than Elden ring but easier than DS2 and 3, so the fans that wanna feel hardcore but not really, love it.
Plz do a 10 fromsoft bosses
Thanks for your suggestion
Hell House in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. While the core part of the battle will need to be handled the same by each player (it shifts elements, so you need to have magic on hand that will counter each of its elements), there's a lot of other ways you can go about the fight, especially on hard mode where the boss itself wasn't just stronger, but it brought out some (sometimes unfair) extra help. The hard mode fight took me over 50 tries because I was being extremely stubborn and absolutely refused to just redo thr chapter and play it better to have more MP by the time I reached the boss, but I'm a little proud of my stubborness for pulling it off 😅
I really love your videos their so entertaining and fun 😊.
Thanks
Definitely Returnal also, love those fights especially Hyperion!
How is the god of war ragnarok first Thor fight not on here. It’s by far the best boss in any game ever
Honestly, I think Ori and the Will of the Wisps should've taken Hollow Knights spot. The bossfights in Ori are the best.
Agreed
I was wondering where Elden Ring was. Y'all had me in the first half, not gonna lie.
Great list, but where is Cuphead?
Knight Gael and Isshin Sword Saint are the peak of boss level design and the best bosses I have ever faced
Cant argue with the FromSoftware Bosses i loved most of them from Darksouls to EldenRing ,from Bloodborne to Sekiro they where all awesome.
🤝👍🏼
Definitely would have included returnal bosses, just phenomenal works of art
Sekiro to me represents From Software at their peak in boss design, so many memorable and fun bosses that are infinitely replayable (Genichiro, Isshin, Owl just to name a few). Dark Souls 3's bosses are also equally amazing, and despite the fact it has less bosses than Elden Ring, it makes up for it by keeping the quality a lot more consistent, whereas in ER's case so many of the bosses are nothing more than a cool spectacle and aren't that much fun to actually fight.
The GOW franchise is one of the best even FF franchise has amazing boss fights
No surprise. List full of mostly Japanese games. Western devs for the most part cant compete with japanese devs when it comes to gameplay
I would love to see Furi in one of such lists. It is kinda underappreciated.
Great pick 👍
Do a list of arcade like games that even story mode players can enjoy
Thanks for your suggestion
I will like a video like that
Id watch that
This is a list of GODS, FromSoft is the Ace
Love you Falcon
Elden ring fire giant. Need I say more?
nah that boss fight is dog shit.
"Idk what they were smoking when they designed that thing" lmao! I was eating when that part came on. I almost had to spit out my food I was laughing so hard
Fromsoft is king
Genshin Impact has some pretty good bosses especially in Chapter 3
👍🏼
Fromsoft bosses really are too good to choose just one game. Ornstein & Smough, Gwyn, Artorius and Manus from DS1; Gascoigne, Amelia, Gherman, Ludwig and Maria from Bloodborne; Sulyvahn, Dancer, Twin Princes, Soul of Cinder, Friede, Demon Princes, Midir and Gael from DS3… the list is pretty much endless.
fromsoftware on top
In Sekiro when the Sword Saint guy pulls a glock out... 100/10 best fight
Bruh no legend of zelda
