Your hands, up close, are anything but smooth. With peaks and valleys, folds and rifts, there are plenty of hiding places for a virus to stick. If you then touch your face, the virus can infect you. But there are two extraordinarily simple ways you can keep that from happening: soap and water, and hand sanitizer. So which is better? Alex Rosenthal and Pall Thordarson investigate.

Repeat every 1-2 hours (8-16 times a day) as long as the pandemic lasts and until a safe vaccine or other cure is available. God is love. This helps. Soap is better than hand sanitizer
Soap washes off viruses and bacterias while hand sanitizer straight up kills them. For overall hygiene of hands, soap if better for sure, but sanitizing your hands a lot is very important with a spreading virus around the world.
@@zuzannazerebiec9768 handssanitizer just brraks them down faster and the alchohol kills it faster but it loses it's affect way faster than soap, so soap is the more carful option in all areas.

@@Marcopolo9 The Happy Birthday song is not copyright protected. It hasn't been for a few years now, and in the ruling they said Warner/ Chapel never truly legally held the copyright.
Warner/ Chapel new they didn't legally own the rights for years (decades?), and the final ruling stated that they ultimately didn't legally own the rights ever prior.

I love how you are spreading message of wearing a mask during covid pandemic in your intro.
At the end of the video when he gave that compliment was hilarious after he said "must be all that water your drinking" and made me feel good about my decision to regularly drink water since around 2016. Has helped me feel a lot better physically, getting off tons of sugary sodas and other drinks I was using. Fantastic video!

Timely insights. Ensuring clean hands is truly important because studies have found that we touch our face around 9 to 23 times per hour. Touching our face with unwashed hands may be enough to infect ourself.
Wash with soap whenever possible and sanitizers while on the go.

İt's very hard to actually wash every surface of your hands in ten seconds. Doing it in twenty is a comfortable paced minimum really. So no need to count actually, just try touching the soap bubles everywhere, then you ve done it. Congrats.

Another good option is using UV sanitizing lights. I got one last year to kill dust mites in my house, which worked amazingly, however, I read that these lights work on killing other viruses including Covid -19. I couldn't be happier with the results. I just leave it on in several rooms of the house while I'm gone to work, and when I return the house smells really fresh and I feel a lot safer knowing me and my family are that much safer. One hand sanitizer uses an active ingredient that has a side effect. The side effect is that, unlike most other sanitizers, it causes an increase in skin moisture. When I bought this specific hand sanitizer, I thought that using it daily was obviously going to dry my hand skin. But instead, my hands got better and better. Thank you BZT (benzethonium chloride).

I really love what you guys did with intro, it reminds more people of how neccessary wearing masks is, and how it slows the spread of a virus during a pandemic!
Small details can make big changes.
But eventually they admitted that the majority of masks being used (the basic papery ymedical masks and various fabric ones) actually did extremely little, or nothing to prevent the spread of the virus. And the high quality professional masks ONLY provided the claimed level of protection when all of the strictest rules were followed, such as a very tight seal over the mouth and nose AND discarding each mask after only having been worn for a limited number of hours, a rule that was impossible to follow due to the severe lack of PPE.
