Thankyou. That was just want I needed. I knew my way around OBS a little but this was that little bit extra I was looking for. thankyou again.
Tip: you can nest scenes. That way you can have your base webcam layout in a scene and use that in other scenes with other overlays etc.
Also if you change your base layout, the other scenes are changed as well.

you can also group sources. i group my cam with my border. just highlight both sources and right click and click group sources. then your cam and border will move as one and you never have to readjust it.

I appreciate this video CT! I was trying to use overlay for one of my radio shows on Twitch and didn't understand what I was doing wrong. Could you make another video focus on Overlays for OBS users? I have 2 live stream shows and I have another scene I created for special live stream events. Since I use 3 cams for my Live shows, I will need an overlay to fit the screen for my cams. Again, thank you for putting this out.

Side note, you should check out StreamElements - similar to StreamLabs, but they offer much more completely free, and their OBS software is refined for performance & efficiency.

Highly highly highly informative. I was able to get up and runny pretty quickly because of this video. Im tech savvy but this really brought everything into focus.
My question is about hardware setup. 2 cameras into the hub with controller going to another computer. Controller, 2 cameras all into one hub and that hub into one computer that runs serato and one live????? Can you expound a little on the hardware set up? I was able to do a one camera (iPhone) setup and run OBS and it seemed to work but i wonder what happens if i drop a go pro into the mix.

Question, Is it possible to do multiple streams with one OBS session? Example: broadcast on Twitch, RUclips, IG, and Mixcloud etc. all in the same set. Always wondered how people like Jazzy Jeff streams to multiple platforms at the same time. Thanks for your time.

I only want to do a live sound test to stream. I'm not ready to have live video of myself. I only want ppl to see scene that I have saved. It basically says sound test only....so basically I don't want to use the camera right now.
Ok, create a jpg in like photoshop, ms paint, ms officer, and then add an image source and go to where you saved the jpg. Transform it to full screen and you should be good to go.
