    Can you make a video on how to make a post-digital collage from a base render in Lumion. (similar to the video you once did, from vray to post digital). Would be suuper helpful for students i think!

    Hey steven, love your work. I want to know if you have this problem with lumion where when you work with a large or heavy project, after some time like 1 to 2 hours it starts lagging and if i start the render in that state, the render time will take much much longer. So i have to restart the lumion and after that it starts working just fine and render time becomes normal again, i am asking you because you have a lot of experience with lumion so i thought maybe you face the same issue and it's not like it's happening to just my pc in my office i have 2 3 pc and every single one has the same problem so it might be a bug but i tried different versions of lumion too but no luck

    The two engines that I like - Twinmotion and Lumion - have greatly improved over the past year. However, I can't seem to stick with one as they both have minor improvements in some areas over the other. I don't know which one to improve my skills on.

    • @ShowItBetter
      @ShowItBetter  Год назад

      true! I recommend going for the one you think you are most proficient at, or the one you maybe are inclined towards the most. Still, if a year later you want to change over, I don't think the learning curve will be that steep

    I use Lumion for a while now, trying to make the most realistic renders. I guess photoshop does help with making it more realistic! Do you have any tips on how to make renders look as realistic as possible?

    • @ShowItBetter
      @ShowItBetter  Год назад +2

      From the way I see it it's mostly a matter of coloring and texturing. The texturing is something that has to be resolved within Lumion and trying to use good materials, but the coloring is mostly a work inside Photoshop. My initial suggestion would be to grab a photograph which you find is close to the colors and feel you are going for, and once inside photoshop put them side by side. Then in a way, go color by color and try to match it, using your material id and adjustment layers. So go to the greens and match the greens, shadows, whites, highlights, etc. Repeat this as many times as possible with your images and eventually your eye will start to settle in and understand colors in real photographs vs colors in renders...

      if you search really well you can find really detailed models in the sketchup 3d warehouse, that is where this model is from!

    when it comes to vray vs lumion, many people say that vray produce better quality but slower. But do you think these new features in lumion could beat vray now??

    • @ShowItBetter
      @ShowItBetter  Год назад

      Not at all, Vray is still very well ahead of any other program when it comes to quality. But then again, someone that uses Lumion is usually preferring usability, and speed over quality

    I think vray program is in real problem. for the past year they had huge step in the quality of render that's pretty close to the quality of vray render. the big deal is when it come to the new users they would much likely use an friendly-use program like lumion
