Set yourself up a long pips paddle and give it a try. I am in the process of doing it now. It is just for messing around tho. I will continue to use my regular rubbers for real matches.

Thanks! We will be working on different videos but the one's we have on the basic strokes are fairly old now and we think these new one's are an improvement. Is there a specific video you would like to see?

@@pingskills i know you woht make it (and nobody has done it before) but i'd like to see a ref video on the *reverse punch* (it's a backhand shot based on the "no spin loop"). it's non-textbook shot which one can witness rather frequently in minor league clubs: there's always one player in every club who knows about the shot and applies it regularly. in a match it can be applied quite often, namely to most balls which bounce off the table high enough into one's backhand region, no matter its trajectory, speed, and spin (but there's indeed a safe green zone which is optimal for its application, while it gets riskier beyond that frame)

We aren't penhold players ourselves but we can look into if we can get someone who is penhold to help us out.

Where should be the contact point on the racket? Apart from the angle of the bat, what should I do to increase the spin? By accelerating the wrist movement? How can I redirect the push on the right side of the table since wrist movement is limited with forehand push? Thanks

I think the best idea is to practice your consistency and this will develop your feel for the ball. Then you can try playing one forehand push to your opponent's forehand and the next to their backhand by opening up the angle of your wrist some more.
